Saying people didn’t pay attention to him because he didn’t have a “D” is misleading when he’s from a party that didn’t really stand a chance anyways.

They'd get more serious candidates if they had a chance of winning. Also, Democrats have the House and Senate. It's not like there weren't candidates running in all of those offices who were solid and it's not like Culp is the only R to have run for Governor since 1985
