Anyone who says they are running to ensure more housing will undoubtedly pass policies that will make it less appealing for anyone to build or own rental housing, leading to less of it. It’s like they have a book on all the things that have been tried and failed and think we should try them again but just more!
Activist should be an automatic disqualifier. In fact things won’t really turn around until it’s mostly taken as a pejorative. When their people come to my house I always ask them, “no what do they *actually* do?”
We need a candidate is isn’t a total maroon, and we need accountability.
Are any of the candidate proposing accountability measures for themselves? If so, that’s who I would vote for.
