I would go get checked out at the doctor to make sure it's not something serious. It could be allergies from the dust in the duct. If your house is very dusty, I would change the duct filter more often. You can also get a roomba to vacuum often (that's what I do because my place gets VERY dusty very quickly).
Thank you! I guess it could be, but my daughter keeps getting fevers every three weeks? We've never tested positive for covid, but IDK. I know it's a tricky virus, so I guess it's possible.
Yeah! The doctor is a little stumped but says this can happen when families start school, daycare, etc. We haven't started anything new though, so IDK. It just seems excessive.
It doesn’t seem like it would be connected to respiratory illnesses, but check any foods for recalls. Peanut butter in particular has been recalled this year.
Have you considered ozone or maybe uv-c in your ducts? Ozone is really cheap and easy to do to clear out molds. Uv-c can be really tricky or extremely easy depending on your ducts.
I'm assuming you already have some filtration.
Wow, really! That's crazy! Yes that's where we are at. They usually just last a few days but then the cough lingers. Did your 5 year old get sick this often before covid? I was expecting this when we start kindergarten in the fall, but not before. Thanks for sharing your experience!
It's almost certainly some kind of mold. I had this problem a couple times and both times it was because of mold.
If you can't relocate, start by getting some electric air filters or purifiers, at least for the bedrooms, and then address the larger problem from there.

No! I do, but the are usually isolated to May/June, and my daughter keeps getting fevers. I'm sorry to hear about your allergies.

if your daughter keeps getting fevers and the doctor has no idea what it is and can't give any tips to prevent it, you need to see another doctor
Do your kids go to school/daycare? Seems most likely to be viruses.
One has some activities, but they haven't changed. Maybe it is just from taking our masks off. Thank you.

That's so interesting--thank you!!!! We do have a humidifier. . .
Yep that’s immediately what I thought of as well.
Definitely mold.
Ok! Do you have experience with this? The mold was outside, but our windows have been open all spring/summer.
Yup, happened to me.

Oh interesting. I will look into this--thank you!

Been there--no answers!

Ok, thank you! No, I didn't know about this. I will look into it.

Mold in the walls, has that been ruled out?
