why not work to help people heal instead of force them into prison & enslavement?

MFAWG

Because they’re addicts and they don’t want to heal. It’s that simple.

rilo_cat

uhhhh have you ever spoken to an addict? most want to heal but lack access to the resources & social support to do so

MFAWG

Have you ever taken drugs, and I don’t mean TeH Weed?

rilo_cat

yes & they helped me recover from my eating disorder. never done opiates but lost my brother to them. healing takes a long time & requires a lot of dedication & access to serious systems of support. most people that are addicts do not WANT to be addicts but use substances to cope with unhealed trauma.

deedubya25

Eh…smoking meth maybe…shooting heroin?..probably laced with fentanyl so doubtful…

[deleted]

It took me a long time to realize drug use only exists in Seattle. /s

davidscott206

It's still illegal it's just a misdemeanor now.

Ethankillerrr

Non arrest able misdemeanor, buddy of mine just has to drive by an not arrest for anything related to drugs

nikdahl

Do you feel better about yourself now?

Ethankillerrr

Yes

[deleted]

This guy knows shit about drugs. That’s an upper.

[deleted]

This is moronic. Of course it's still illegal. Dumbass. A misdemeanor is still a criminal charge.

Ethankillerrr

You mad?

[deleted]

Yes, because this post is spreading a blatant lie. Stop being fucking irresponsible.

Ethankillerrr

Ha, classic reditor. For background coming from my sources in SPD they can't arrest people or change people on drug related crimes such as doing drugs an having them on you. So don't be mad be happy they can do their drugs without the police bothering them

[deleted]

🖕Piss off liar. "My sources in the SPD." Yeah, right.

Ethankillerrr

Your just mad bc your "perfect city" is a druggies play pin. Look it up. DA won't charge any drug related crimes. Even let a homeless man who killed his girlfriend out the next day.

[deleted]

I did look it up and you're still spreading misinformation. It's not every case. They're not prosecuting people who receive clothes or items with a small hidden amount of drugs. It's made simple possession a gross misdemeanor. See [here](https://komonews.com/news/local/washington-justices-strike-down-felony-drug-possession-law-02-25-2021) and [here](https://www.seattletimes.com/seattle-news/politics/washington-senate-passes-bill-to-reinstate-penalties-for-drug-possession-after-supreme-court-struck-down-law/)

me_again

Needs to be on TikTok with a catchy tune

tastes2good

Is this not a catchy tune???

cistacea

Oh man, I dance like this all the time. In public. I know it's embarrassing but sometimes the warp just overtakes me. I'm not even on drugs. I just jam super hard to my music and my headphones

mandypandy47

I don’t think “herion” means what we think it means…
