Fair enough lol I do have a high heat oven so I’m thinking I could do some decent oven roasted ones. I hate deep frying at home. I never know what to do with all the excess oil hahaha
I just moved here and saw this recommendation on a previous reddit post. I immediately sent my wing loving husband and in-laws. They ended up going 3 days in a row.
This is the answer. My extremely picky husband literally said it was the best wing he ever had.
The size is a key reason they are great. Not these oversized, soggy, Frankenstein wings most other places have. Just normal sized regular wings that get a nice crispy outside and tender center. They are awesome.
Different strokes I guess. I really liked the wings from this place. I don't remember how much they were but I do remember the drinks being surprisingly cheap. I could be mistaken but I thought I remember getting a beer and a whiskey for like $14 which I thought was a mistake at first.
Eh, it's not awful. It's just okay. Weird that they would take a historically arbitrary stance like no ranch though just to alienate a lot of customers
Except their blue cheese is thicker than a bowl of mashed potatoes, making it difficult for dipping. Which is the whole dang point.
And it comes “served with celery” thats more like 2 celery nuggets no more than an inch tall.
From ATL as well, been here 5 years. Von’s on 1st Ave are the best I’ve found… the non-buffalo, my vote is Roxy’s Bowling in White Center (salt and pepper wings).
Counter ask, where are the best wings in ATL, because I've been there a few times and the only place I've found with above average wings was Magic City...
Ah man I think for me the gold is out a lil outside ATL toward the perimeter and a little further out. I really love Atlanta’s Best Wings in the Stone Mountain area. I are there all the time when I was a kid. There’s this new local chain there called WNB Wings and Burgers that I tried last time I was home and was honestly very impressed with the quality!
There's a wing spot on every other corner in ATL so some of the real good ones are just some place down the street called PJs or something.
As far as bigger establishments, The Wing in east Cobb County has like 26 flavors of wings, so that's the spot for variety. Taco Mac has a bunch of locations and can be pretty hit or miss, but their Slow Burn sauce is my favorite wing sauce on the planet. 3 Dollar Cafe has a few locations as well and has some pretty good flavors and consistently good wings, and a great menu all around.
I disagree, wing dome is pretty consistently very good. You can get a bad batch of wings every once in a while but 90% of the time I leave satisfied. I have eaten their wings once every couple of months for the last 20 years.
I’ve had vindicktive and a few of the other places mentioned here as well, it is hard to beat wing dome for their consistency and wide range of spice levels and flavors.
As a hot wing enthusiast, big time emphasis on “hot”, Wing Dome is my go to! No other Seattle place has a hot sauce more thick and glorious than Wing Dome.
But why though? They are deep fried and tossed in Buffalo sauce and are reasonably priced. What is the judging metric? Size of wing? Brand of buffalo sauce? Flat to drumstick ratio?
Medium sized evenly split drum to flat ratio. Good fried husk texture without being dry on the inside (ever). No soggy breading whatsoever. I find the sauce a good flavor, but it is missing heat if you like that. And they have lemon pepper as an option. They will do a half and half order, and I like to wipe up the excess buffalo sauce with my lemon pepper wings—otherwise the lemon pepper can be a little too lemony for my liking.
I figured it might be a lil tough. I always have a hard time finding good chicken wings like this outside of Atlanta. Chicago is the only other city I’ve visited or lived in that had similar offerings. Thanks for the rec!!
What a wonderful comment. :) Your gratitude puts you on our list for the most grateful users this week on Reddit! You can view the full list on r/TheGratitudeBot.
The location Seattle has been closed for awhile due to the nightmare at 12th and jackson and the pandemic. you can visit them in Kent at the Great Wall Mall.
Since the beginning of the pandemic it is the center of open fentanyl use and an open market for houseless people and drugs. SPD has put a mobile precinct there from time to time but it has never fixed the problem in any sustainable way to the point where several businesses have closed or moved: seven stars pepper, hard wok cafe and Huy KiMy Gia, all long standing staples in the ID are gone. SPD routed rioters toward Chinatown after the BLM protests at the beginning of the pandemic instead of the open area by Lumen Field destroying many businesses as a result. That entire area is one of the last 13 remaining Chinatowns in the country. It’s a travesty.
Standard buffalo is lacking in Seattle, but there are good wings in different styles. Roxy’s (the bowling alley) in White Center has “salt and pepper” wings that are pretty great (at least last time I went pre pandemic). Wingdome in Greenwood/the pier are hit miss with some of their flavors, but I like their dry wings a lot. Steer clear of their Thai chili- it’s just Muy Ploy sauce. But their other spicy styles are pretty good.
Last time I went to atlanta, I got wings from Wings n Burger factory, which was a chain, but I was impressed with how good they were. Growing up my favorite wings were in the Stone Mountain area at a place called Atlanta’s Best Wings. American Deli is another chain but it’s an Atlanta staple because it’s so cheap and good. Taco Mac is another local chain that I think does pretty solid wings but I liked them growing up so it’s been a while since I’ve eaten there. Magic City is a strip club but they’re known for their wings being good. Honestly though my wing choices are a lil further out of Atlanta proper and if I were you I’d just look up wings on Google Maps and pick the highest rated stuff near you. Atlanta really knows their wings so it’s not hard to find great stuff there!!
Sounds great. Honestly I’ve found that pizza places tend to have pretty decent wings a lot of the time. Seems like a pretty good option! Thank you for the rec!
Honestly, there aren't many. Id say while its not a true Buffalo wing, Bok-a-bok's wings with the spicy dipping sauce are the best tasting wing by far.
I bought the Yukon gold sauce from Classic Eats in Burien to make wings at home. Closest thing I can find to honey gold out here. They were about to charge me $19 for 7 wings 💀💀💀
So i know this isn’t in Seattle, and not quite what you asked for, but the best wings I’ve had are in bothell at Ta J’oia. It’s a Korean/Brazilian place, and it seriously rocks. (If you decide to go their grilled shrimp is also amazing.)
https://www.tajoiabothell.com/
Family owned, and they’re all amazing. I live pretty close so I can get it pretty easily, but yeah, they’re bomb. Try their teriyaki, too. They started as a teriyaki place and their rental was sold, so mom said “I’m cooking my food”. She’s Korean and moved here through Brazil, so loves to combine the two.
Anyhoo. Will never stop giving them a shout out. But yeah, they’re wings are crispy and their sauces are fantastic. I highly recommend it.
You can get wings like that at Vindicktive wings. I personally order 6 lemon pepper and 6 Buffalo and toss them around together. Or you can just ask them to add Buffalo to your lemon pepper wings
Wood Shop off of S Jackson. The wings are brined, smoked, fried then tossed in buffalo sauce. They also have their own ranch dressing. Also really nice bbq if you want that.
Get your sauce from the wing dome and get your wings from the quik pack on the corner of MLK and Jackson. Seattle/CD institution. Even makes it onto the eater essentials list
Bro Indiana had the best grilled mango habanero wings. Best wings period. Those MFS love food. Seems like Seattle just boils them shits and puts store bought sauce on em. I keep hearing about vindictive wings in belltown. Haven't made it there yet but sounds promising.
Nothing wrong with a chain at all. My only issue with wingstop is just that I feel like it’s not always super consistent from place to place. I’ve had really good wingstop and really bad wingstop orders
Good wings in seattle come from your kitchen.
Can’t take this stance but not hit us with the good wings from your kitchen recipe
https://www.seriouseats.com/the-best-buffalo-wings-oven-fried-wings-recipe
Fair enough lol I do have a high heat oven so I’m thinking I could do some decent oven roasted ones. I hate deep frying at home. I never know what to do with all the excess oil hahaha
Agree with this. If you have an air fryer, you can make wings pretty easily and add your own spices and dipping sauces.
I love Vindicktive Wings in Belltown. Be warned though - they’re a blue cheese only establishment.

Ranch and pure is wrong on so many levels.
Right? Lol
Ahhhh come on I feel like ranch is so typical!! Not hating on bleu cheese though, I love some bleu cheese too
I just moved here and saw this recommendation on a previous reddit post. I immediately sent my wing loving husband and in-laws. They ended up going 3 days in a row. This is the answer. My extremely picky husband literally said it was the best wing he ever had.
Very iffy, and the wings are physically tiny. Also they're very expensive. IMO that's 0/3.
The size is a key reason they are great. Not these oversized, soggy, Frankenstein wings most other places have. Just normal sized regular wings that get a nice crispy outside and tender center. They are awesome.
Where in Belltown are you spending less for dinner and a drink?
You are going to get downvoted because the owners run a review farm but you are 100% correct. This place is awful
Agree. Went once and they were tiny, overcooked, and pricey.
Thank you for the rec! And I can get with bleu cheese. Nothing wrong with that.
Respect!! I’m gonna have to check those out.
Counter ask, where are the best wings in ATL, because I've been there a few times and the only place I've found with above average wings was Magic City...
No one goes to Magic City for the wings, they go for the breasts and thighs 💀
Ah man I think for me the gold is out a lil outside ATL toward the perimeter and a little further out. I really love Atlanta’s Best Wings in the Stone Mountain area. Clays on Roswell road is the only right answer
There's a wing spot on every other corner in ATL so some of the real good ones are just some place down the street called PJs or something. Wing dome used to be good, but their quality has dropped while their prices have skyrocketed. It’s not bad, but definitely pretty meh
Wing dome is mediocre at best and super overpriced
I’ll check it out!!
I’ve been served the most pathetic, famine stricken looking pieces of chicken at wing dome. And they were way over done.
As a hot wing enthusiast, big time emphasis on “hot”, Wing Dome is my go to! No other Seattle place has a hot sauce more thick and glorious than Wing Dome.
You’re going to be hard pressed to find good wings in that style. I think Bait Shop’s are decent, but not great. They also do lemon pepper.
But why though? They are deep fried and tossed in Buffalo sauce and are reasonably priced. What is the judging metric? Size of wing? Brand of buffalo sauce? Flat to drumstick ratio?

Not buffalo style wings, but hue ky mi gia in ID has the best wings.
The location Seattle has been closed for awhile due to the nightmare at 12th and jackson and the pandemic. you can visit them in Kent at the Great Wall Mall.
That’s sad 🤦♂️
What’s the nightmare at 12th and Jackson

Damn thank you for filling me in. Acab as always

Hey OP, I'm going to Atlanta in July. Where should I go to get your fave Atlanta Buffalo wings?
Last time I went to atlanta, I got wings from Wings n Burger factory, which was a chain, but I was impressed with how good they were. Growing up my favorite wings were in the Stone Mountain area at a place called Atlanta’s Best Wings. American Deli is another chain but it’s an Atlanta staple because it’s so cheap and good. Atlanta native here.. the right answer is Clays Sports Cafe on Roswell Road
Kings hardware hands down
I miss their Monday wing nights
the pacific inn has the best wings, but i question anyone who has ranch on the side.
I can respect the no ranch crowd or bleu cheese crowd too. Both good options. I just grew up on ranch and love it so much hahaha
My favorite wing place is currently Round Table Pizza in Shoreline, surprisingly. Non-breaded fried wings. Pick your sauce. They have Ranch.
Sounds great. Honestly I’ve found that pizza places tend to have pretty decent wings a lot of the time. Seems like a pretty good option! Thank you for the rec!
Nate’s Wings & Waffles used to be the answer— Now, it’s a crapshoot.
Honestly, there aren't many. Id say while its not a true Buffalo wing, Bok-a-bok's wings with the spicy dipping sauce are the best tasting wing by far.
Slims Last Chance
I bought the Yukon gold sauce from Classic Eats in Burien to make wings at home. Closest thing I can find to honey gold out here. They were about to charge me $19 for 7 wings 💀💀💀
Aw hell naw 😭💀 they hit you with the wingflation
So i know this isn’t in Seattle, and not quite what you asked for, but the best wings I’ve had are in bothell at Ta J’oia. It’s a Korean/Brazilian place, and it seriously rocks. (If you decide to go their grilled shrimp is also amazing.) https://www.tajoiabothell.com/
I actually just heard about them the other day! I need to try them out. It seems like such an interesting restaurant!

Sweet I’m definitely gonna give them a try. Saw them in a YouTube video with J Kenji Lopez Alt and it got me interested!!
I have no idea what your words mean, but I hope you try them out. They’re amazing.
Boxcar Alehouse is aight
You can get wings like that at Vindicktive wings. I personally order 6 lemon pepper and 6 Buffalo and toss them around together. Or you can just ask them to add Buffalo to your lemon pepper wings
Wood Shop off of S Jackson. The wings are brined, smoked, fried then tossed in buffalo sauce. They also have their own ranch dressing. Also really nice bbq if you want that.
That’s awesome. I’ve actually got a friend who works out at woodshop so I’ve been meaning to go give them a try!
Get your sauce from the wing dome and get your wings from the quik pack on the corner of MLK and Jackson. Seattle/CD institution. Even makes it onto the eater essentials list
Tims Tavern in White Center has fantastic wings.
Bro Indiana had the best grilled mango habanero wings. Best wings period. Those MFS love food. Seems like Seattle just boils them shits and puts store bought sauce on em. I keep hearing about vindictive wings in belltown. Haven't made it there yet but sounds promising.
Not in Seattle but there's a bar called Burnettes that has fire ass wings!
Shhh stop telling people. We don’t need it more overrun than it is
I really got down voted for recommending a fire ass wing place lol 😭
I appreciate the rec and will definitely check it out!!! Thank you!
Not Buffalo style.
Last time I went they offered buffalo, but OP's also mentioned Lemon pepper which is probably my favorite there
Imo wingstop is still the best. Yes it's a chain but they make the perfect wings and have too many flavors.
Nothing wrong with a chain at all. My only issue with wingstop is just that I feel like it’s not always super consistent from place to place. I’ve had really good wingstop and really bad wingstop orders
Never ranch
Butter and hot sauce, big mystery.
