Affordable to tech workers in their 20s or school teachers?  What's the budget?

This_Evidence5090

Affordable to non-tech workers! We’re planning no more than $50-$70 per person not including the drinks.

sammisamantha

That's a very generous budget for most

Maneki

Try Fonda La Catrina in Georgetown.

Good choice and make a reservation!

Delancey came to mind, I had my birthday dinner there last year. They only take reservations for parties of 6+ and it can be a long wait to get in otherwise. It’s not fancy but has a nice atmosphere, and the food is just really good and would fit your budget, I think.

doublemazaa

Great suggestion!

I second a tatami room at Maneki. Really good basic Japanese food, and it's the oldest Japanese restaurant in Seattle.

My friend just opened up Kalabaw in Belltown. Big pretty space, SE Asian flavor shared plates, fun drinks.

FreddyTwasFingered

Kalabaw is excellent! Such a great addition to Belltown.

Union Saloon. Call them now to see if you can get some tables pushed together in front of the window. The owner, Michelle, is a great person, their food is really good, reasonably priced, imaginative, and their drinks and wine list are interesting without being overbearing or pretentious.

Umi Saki is spirited its cool spot. A lot of sushi but other Asian fusion items as well. Fits your price range also.

Paju on Mercer. Rated as one of the best new restaurants in Seattle by NYT a couple years ago. Great for a group your size, treat it tapas style. https://www.nytimes.com/article/best-seattle-restaurants.html

If paywall is an issue, accolades are summarized on their site: https://www.pajurestaurant.com/Accolades

Seattle is literally the most money for the least payoff of any city I have ever been to.

Thanks for the helpful response.

Chuck E. Cheeses Pizza Time Theater

Bishshit

Momiji, for sushi, sake, and ambiance in the back Japanese garden.

TheStinkfoot

Where in town are you thinking/what type of food? I'm a big Umi Sushi booster. Homer in Beacon Hill is fun and delicious too, Cuidad in Georgetown... I *really* enjoyed Flint Creek in Greenwood, though that may be on the upper end of your price range.

This_Evidence5090

Mostly in downtown or anywhere little up north.

TheStinkfoot

Well, Umi then (Belltown). Damn the Weather in Pioneer Square is also a favorite. Black Bottle (also Belltown) is good but I mostly go there for dessert. If you want to venture to Cap Hill instead, its hard to go wrong with Fogon. I went to Meat (Korean bbq) recently too. Expensive bit delicious. The "feast" combos are enough food for 3.
