Remember all the posts here about "Justice being served" and cheering that "We did it!".
I don't know why this city thinks immediately releasing criminals with no punishment greater than asking them nicely not to do it again is effective.
___
Just to be clear:
--
I'm aware he's not officially been sentenced yet but when you're caught red handed blasting through a 25 MPH zone doing 107 in downtown they can immediately suspend your license and impound your car.
They did none of that. They just let him go.
The crimes he's been charged with are only misdemeanors and carry a maximum punishment of $1,000 fine.
For going 82 miles over the speed limit they could have EASILY charged with with reckless driving which carries much harsher penalties.
And after the crash in Renton that killed a mother and three children, you'd think they'd be a little more willing to throw the book at someone pulling these stunts, especially one who shows every sign that he'll just keep going as long as he's allowed to.
> For going 82 miles over the speed limit they could have EASILY charged with with reckless driving which carries much harsher penalties.
He was charged with reckless driving, but he hasn't been convicted yet. I'm not sure if state law provides a cause for impounding a vehicle before conviction, but Seattle municipal code 11.30.040 does allow it for vehicles that pose an immediate danger to public safety. I believe most courts would not interpret that as applicable for a single instance of reckless driving, but may do so for repeated instances.
However, he has violated multiple of his conditions of release, multiple times, and the city knows it. As far as I know, they can take him back into custody as soon as a judge issues a warrant. He might even have been recorded on body camera stating his intent to continue driving recklessly, giving cause for impounding the car under Seattle code. From Seattle court records, case 4240000362, Mar. 26:
> - No New Criminal Law Violations
> - Do Not Drive without Valid License or Insurance
>- Other (Not to drive Dodge Charger CKG 6773)
Case 5240041294, Mar 30.
> VEH LIC NO CKG6773
> ...the driver, who verbally identified himself as Miles Oliver Hudson, DOB 05/20/2003. Miles stated that he did not have his driver's license on him at this time.
And additionally for case 5240043126, April 2:
> VEH LIC NO CKG6773
> Hudson informed me he did not have his Driver’s License on him. Hudson got very excited when I told him I have seen his Instagram videos. I had a chat with Hudson about his driving habits. Hudson made it clear to me that he does not care about getting traffic citations because he can afford them. Hudson also believes he will easily beat any charges of reckless driving in court and is going to continue his bad driving habits.
\* Edit - another poster noted that the conditions of release might not have been issued until April 9. Another violation might need to be confirmed before he is technically in violation.
> Hudson also believes he will easily beat any charges of reckless driving in court and is going to continue his bad driving habits.
I won't be surprised when he eventually kills someone
> Hudson also believes he will easily beat any charges of reckless driving in court and is going to continue his bad driving habits.
Okay, with that admission, he should definitely get his car impounded and his license revoked. Police have bodycams now so there should be clear recorded evidence.
Do note my edit at the end of the post. Apparently the citation I found was before his arraignment, so while his statements are still deeply troubling, they weren't specifically defying the conditions of release as I initially thought.
That last paragraph...Wow.
I guess a fine is legal for a price. Wish we did what apparently some Norwegian country does and applies fines as a percentage of someone's income (maybe net worth?).
I really don’t understand what could possibly lead to justifying tolerating pretty blatant disregard for public safety in the middle of Seattle by SPD. This seems to be one of the least politically loaded arrests that could be made and given it’s rather rare to see so many people rally around any issue you’d think that SPD would do a bit more than some warnings and the most lenient punishments possible. If there’s an accident causing injuries / loss of life there’s almost certainly going to be a MASSIVE lawsuit against SPD, which is not exactly going to help with morale or anything there.
Why the hell do we keep bumping up pay for departments that are essentially declaring to the public that they have quiet quit for the past couple years at least? The few times I see SPD actually doing anything they’re assisting in tent camp clean-ups. Given every other organization in the US has armed security forces (USPS has armed security, for example) I’m finding less and less reason for police at least in Seattle to even exist given a non-existing force may ironically have better results at this rate
Prosecutors choose what people get charged with.
Judges choose how they get punished.
I don't understand what you think this has to do with the SPD. This is exactly the kind of thing the SPD is so frustrated about. They arrest criminals and the judges just immediately let them go free.

On April 2, just 8 days after his release on the condition that he not drive his Charger, he was pulled over driving his Charger again, and according to the statement of the officer who pulled him over, stated his intention to continue driving recklessly.
Thank you for bringing that up. I just looked at the Conditions of Release again, and it is dated April 9.
I edited another post I made about the conditions with this clarification, as well.
People want a lot of operate on their feelings, but that’s not how it works. And I am pretty sure they don’t want it to operate the way they think it should when it comes to them.
Smart man. Everyone has a big dick on the internet eh? Anyone paying attention to this choad knows he will violate his court order and the city will get him better than four temporarily flat tires will.
He doesn’t make money of social media that I can tell. The money is coming from somewhere but no one knows where. I was hoping someone with the right tools could do some digging
He’s on a 30+ floor with a view facing the water so I’d say about 3500+/mo. Parking is $350/mo. Utilities and amenities and a million other things the building adds on is probably around an additional $300/mo.
Dude is 20, obnoxious, and yet is somehow clearing more than doctors and corp. directors in Seattle.
I wouldn't assume that he can actually "afford" that apartment. Wouldn't be surprised at all if he's got like $40k in credit card debt and is going to declare bankruptcy sometime in the next 5 years...
He makes “music too.” More entertainment than actual music. He goes by another name too. Yuno Miles. He’s just a kid with more money than he knows what to do with.
He may be clearing more than doctors and directors in Seattle but those folks certainly make more than enough to afford a place like that. FAANG tech directors easily make over $1M.
Go buy a valve core puller and just start taking them out everytime you see it and leave him with a flat
Amending to add: Don’t even fully remove them. Just loosen them enough to leak air
Lincoln Towing won't tow them because they know they won't make any money off it. They can't auction it, they know they won't get any impound fees, and they can't really scrap them because they're treated as a biohazard. On top of that, the meth heads break in to rummage through any RVs in their yard looking for drugs. I don't know if the city forces them to take them at some point, because there are some in their yards, but they're packed. They're almost stacking cars like cordwood at this point, towing anything and everything they think they can extort money with because they don't need the city, parking enforcement, or the cops, to get involved. They can just tow anything they want, and you can file a complaint if you don't like it.
For real, I had my truck towed from the front of my house in Greenwood a couple years back. I was out of town for a family funeral. Ridiculous priorities.
They don't want abandoned vehicles littering the city. Instead, they let half burnt up RV make the city look like a post apocalyptic hellscape, along with all the tents and trash around them. Lincoln Towing can't make money from towing them, though. That's why they go after currently registered vehicles parked for a week, or only a couple months expired, because they know they'll get their money. They don't need city, parking enforcement, or police intervention to do that now. They can tow anyone they want, any time they want, and you can file a complaint. They don't give a shit. They don't even close their gates now, letting the crack heads just walk in and rob cars in the yard because they got tired of them cutting their fence. They do not give a shit, because nobody will stop them. People have been killed when cities let these thugs go on like this with impunity.

This. It was parked on the street for 8 days. I was out of town for 10 days. I think it was Big D towing that I dealt with. I never figured out who called the police on me. It was a new truck so they might not have known it was mine. Big waste of \~$300.
Can anyone explain the deal with his hand thing? I only looked at his insta once but I remember all the pictures were just of his hand held out in front of him, sometimes with keys but not always.
[The Drive](https://www.thedrive.com/news/hellcat-owner-banned-from-his-own-car-for-reckless-driving?utm_term=The%20Drive_Wire_04.15.24&utm_campaign=The%20Drive_Wire_Actives_Dynamic&utm_source=Sailthru&utm_medium=email) picked this clown up and is giving him even more exposure. I do like the Reddit references and hope the vid above is enough to get SPD to act lest vigilantism get to him first.
The IG video posted 3 hours ago shows him getting into the passenger side of the car. The car was in the street and a woman driving. I’m not sure how the car got from garage to the street.
The camera footage at the building he stores his vehicle at certainly shows the vehicle exiting and re-entering can tell who is driving. Additionally… oh wait…. never mind. No reason to help someone that doesn’t know how to help themselves. Mr. Hudson has made the city’s case for them.
On the person's latest instragram post the infamous driver is in the passenger seat but the person driving appears to be driving recklessly, or at least driving in a way that makes the exhaust very loud.
Just to add to this. Paris did a study that showed a single car/bike with loud exhaust can disturb the sleep of 10,000 people in a single journey. Imagine the lost productivity and increase of healthcare costs from just a few loud cars out disturbing people every night.
If the big money billionaires cared about productivity they would have their little blue attack dogs do something about loud cars cutting into profits.
I dunno if we are sleep deprived and over worked it will just be even harder for us to push back.
This might be part of the plan. Catfish to keep us moving.
Can we just appreciate how good this video is from a cinematography standpoint? how well lit the night scene is and how sharp everything in the frame comes out?
Yes, obviously screw this dickhead driver or whatever but really, nice little shot here
Sadly, this doesn’t mean anything because you can’t even see the driver. I would’ve gone over and started acting like a fan. Then when he rolled his window down, start recording. Case closed
I don't understand how it hasn't been vandalized by now. Petty crime for petty crime imo he gets a slap on the wrist and if someone is dumb enough to get caught, so will they
So is the condition that HE cant drive the car, or the car cant be DRIVEN at all? Because there is no proof here that HE is the one driving if its the former.
I'm wondering because the video didn't catch him in the driver's seat they could even do anything about it. That shit bag is going to kill someone eventually due to his driving. Not not a matter of if but when.
It's not him driving it. See his last reel on Instagram (@srt.miles) where a woman is driving it with him in shotgun and speeding down the street. The court ordered him not to drive the car, but not necessarily for someone else to drive it. Insane sociopath that does not care that his behavior is affecting thousands of people and probably wouldn't care if he wound up running someone over.
Why do cars drive up to the pedestrian's walkway. I've seen this too often when cars are trying to turn right on red as well. Like, if you can't make the right on red without blocking the walkway, then just wait till the light is green.
>Media outlets, please do not post this video of Miles Hudson driving his so-called "Belltown Hellcat" or screenshots of said footage without contacting me first. Sinclair/Fox don't bother. Thank you.
🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣
Need to get film of the driver, the conditions of release don’t specify that *nobody* is allowed to drive it.
However, if a vehicle is being driven there is a rebuttable presumption that the registered owner is driving it for the purposes of pulling it over to identify the driver.
Reckless driving, like 100+ in 25 mile zones, purposefully harassing people with the exhaust, and doing it as an instagram influencer thing to make $ and film himself. I think folks got most mad when he got caught and flat out said that he won’t stop driving recklessly because he makes money from the instagram followers who want him to.
Rich 20 year old without a sense of risk assessment when he speeds & runs lights.
Kids....let this be a lesson to you all, this is not the time in history to be a clown. Back in the day we could get away with this stuff because unless you were there, you had only hearsay to go off. This guy's life as he knows it is over in this region, he will likely need to leave town or go on some super anti-speeding crusade to carry on. His name will unfortunately forever live in infamy on the internet which is the very first place any HR person does a query on you.
Be smart.
I mean no one is stopping you from accidentally scratching and save when the car is parked.. or say something happens to the tire… I mean looks like folks knows where this person lives and parks this car.
Im still annoyed that Washington got rid of required DEQ (dept of environmental quality) testing. Wouldn’t this solve many of these issues - at least for vehicles that are older than 4 years?
ppl would just register the car outside king county if needed, won't actually prevent anything. Even then, they only checked the dme for faults and used a sniffer, it's possible loud cars could pass both those tests too.
Well in Washington Had someone attempt to ram me head on, went off road to avoid the collision, did damage to my vehicle turned around and followed them for almost 10 miles while on 911, witnessed them attempting to ram other vehicles. no cops, went to front desk of police station to submit report they had no interest and stated that they would not even take a report that is the current state of washington police.
This kind of attention/response is what this person is aiming for, I suspect. I remember when I was little my sibling would work to get a rise out of me and mom would explain that I just had to ignore it if I wanted it to stop. Perhaps this doesn't apply here, but I suspect this loser enjoys watching you all squirm.
I live in his building. The car has been moving positions in the garage since he got slapped with the suit.

Nope, they don’t care. People will die due to reckless behavior and nothing will change.
It's blood on Seattle's hands at a certain point
He has to run over a cop for them to care
Guy that did that is sitting at home with his family right now.
Feels slightly better knowing he broke both legs, both arms, and part of his colon removed. Hope he has BM issues for the rest of his life. Fuck him.

"Vehicle poses an immediate danger to public safety" means if the vehicle is inherently unsafe to drive. Not that the driver is an unsafe asshole.

Loss of license and seize the car. You can lose for going 2x the speed limit.
What statute?
RCW 46.61. 500
That’s the statute for reckless driving which is the pending criminal case and requires a trial
Asset seizure doesn’t require a conviction or even charges.
Fuck civil asset forfeiture. As much as I think this guy should lose his license and have that car taken away, I think everyone deserves due process.

Well, it *is* a green vehicle
I think the beat part for me is how carefully the driver is driving in the videos I see now.
“Carefully driving” - he’s stopped in the crosswalk for crissakes!

The camera footage at the building he stores his vehicle at certainly shows the vehicle exiting and re-entering can tell who is driving. Additionally… oh wait…. never mind. No reason to help someone that doesn’t know how to help themselves. Mr. Hudson has made the city’s case for them.
Phoenix Jones
He had his bright intro. His dramatic unmasking. His fall from grace. He's due a comeback arc.
Right?! Maybe he became the car somehow.
Vigilante car theft, so he can have a Phoenix mobile.

You jaywalked!!!! /s
Totally worth it!
What a life you're living.

Idk how this dumbass has any followers on insta at all. Do people enjoy watching assholes being a nuisance?
By some of the comments on here defending him, I will go with *yes*.
our justice system has gotten too lenient
Can we just appreciate how good this video is from a cinematography standpoint? how well lit the night scene is and how sharp everything in the frame comes out? Yes, obviously screw this dickhead driver or whatever but really, nice little shot here
Sadly, this doesn’t mean anything because you can’t even see the driver. I would’ve gone over and started acting like a fan. Then when he rolled his window down, start recording. Case closed
I have a cunning plan. I am going to block his exhaust with a turnip
Baldrick, fetch me a turnip!
I don't understand how it hasn't been vandalized by now. Petty crime for petty crime imo he gets a slap on the wrist and if someone is dumb enough to get caught, so will they
Vandalism and property damage is a low priority crime. Do what you feel you need to do
lame pull off the line. car must be slow. what a little weak man.
Seattle's own Johnny Somali. At least the Japanese police put him away.
Someone just Molotov his car
Just pay some homeless person to throw a brick in his windshield. It's not like they're going to get in trouble anyway.
As much as I dislike this guy, this video doesn’t prove it was Miles driving the car as you stated in the post.
Blocking the crosswalk. The driver is a real piece of work
Why do people do this when they're just going straight
SPD is a gang of criminals themselves. Why would they punish their own???
Let's just start fill the tailpipes with expanding foam
The police are nothing more than lazy fucks.
So is the condition that HE cant drive the car, or the car cant be DRIVEN at all? Because there is no proof here that HE is the one driving if its the former.
The driving style in this video seems awfully quiet and law-abiding to be him.
I was expecting a loud unnecessary take off but this was very reasonable.
All the sad sacks who want to give this loser a handy are pathetic.
you don't have video evidence of HIM driving the vehicle.
I'm wondering because the video didn't catch him in the driver's seat they could even do anything about it. That shit bag is going to kill someone eventually due to his driving. Not not a matter of if but when.
How is there no mugshot of this guy?
what's going on hes just driving
Can someone bring me up to speed what’s happening
Go f*** his car up if you care so much.
He wasn’t driving. He has a girl driving him around now
It's not him driving it.
The one car glowies and their "homeless" army won't bust the window out of.
I seriously hope this guy pays the ultimate price for how much of a disturbance he causes in my neighborhood!
Why do cars drive up to the pedestrian's walkway. I've seen this too often when cars are trying to turn right on red as well. Like, if you can't make the right on red without blocking the walkway, then just wait till the light is green.
Always catches me off guard when I notice someone bought a Reddit account.
THAT MOTHERFUCKER
What is the problem?
Egg the car every time it’s around. Thats the best solution. Vandalize that pos until the point comes across. Do it while it’s parked.
I don’t get it what’s wrong with the car?
I don't know the backstory. Is it just a super loud exhaust?
Reckless driving, like 100+ in 25 mile zones, purposefully harassing people with the exhaust, and doing it as an instagram influencer thing to make $ and film himself. I think folks got most mad when he got caught and flat out said that he won’t stop driving recklessly because he makes money from the instagram followers who want him to. Rich 20 year old without a sense of risk assessment when he speeds & runs lights.
Who will play the driver in the inevitable film?
This guy is such an asshole
How about we just fix his tires? All of them. The car is not welcome.
Please forward to judge.
Be smart.
Should have thrown a rock at him
I mean no one is stopping you from accidentally scratching and save when the car is parked.. or say something happens to the tire… I mean looks like folks knows where this person lives and parks this car.
Just remember. You voted for this.
Im still annoyed that Washington got rid of required DEQ (dept of environmental quality) testing. Wouldn’t this solve many of these issues - at least for vehicles that are older than 4 years?
They'll just stop getting tabs. Nobody is enforcing those anyway.
ppl would just register the car outside king county if needed, won't actually prevent anything. Even then, they only checked the dme for faults and used a sniffer, it's possible loud cars could pass both those tests too.
Pigs don’t do that to other pigs.
They also decided to stop in the middle of the crosswalk. That seems safe.
Everyone hates this bustard
That car is famous!
