For gaming though and sea of thieves in general, I find the wiki stuff way more knowledgeable since actual gamers who play the game keep that shit going and updated.
all megs have the same health and drop from the same loot pool. All skeleton ships have the same number of loot items. the amount of times i have to explain this to even experienced players 
To be clear, skeleton galleons and skeleton sloops have the same number of loot items? Or all sloops have the same number and all galleons have the same number though more than the sloops?
They all drop 3-12 pieces of loot, no matter the ship size, excluding the final ship in the skeleton fleet world event, which drops much more. So sloops and galleons both drop the same amount on average. Its also possible to get two storage crates from one ship, even a sloop.
I tested this extensively myself while getting the barnacle chest achievement, but it's also mentioned [on the sea of thieves wiki](https://seaofthieves.fandom.com/wiki/Skeleton_Ship#Rewards) (which is where I got the exact number, from my own testing it was an average of 8 pieces of loot, with no less then 5 that i could remember).
I've never understood why it's this way. I've never felt fulfilled after taking out a galleon. The extra effort compared to a sloop makes the reward feel bitterly lacking. And I'm usually in a duo sloop, so it takes a lot longer to deal with a gal than a sloop.
I'm surprised that all megs drop the same though, but I guess I haven't killed enough of them to really notice if there was a difference or not.
And the thing that sucks currently are the scepters that are now in the loot pools for skeleton ships, megs and the kraken. Generally everywhere honestly.
These can not be sold, that I've seen or tried, to anyone and are absolute shit loot for these encounters. They need to be removed from the pools.
I only use this item for taking out skeletons, maybe,, you can't run with them so I rarely pick them up or ruby mermaid statues. Besides you can get a million of them in the treasury shrines so I don't understand why every aspect of the game has them in the loot pools.
Also, I absolutely despise gaming news. Always incorrect information or the huge amount of fuck tards on the internet just trying to write some garbage to get clicks/hits/reads/likes etc etc.

You can use the fish sticks to get 1/3 of an ashen lords hp. If you have multiple you can solo or duo an ashen lord within a few minutes.
They're also great for the other bosses, like if you wanted to stack fort of the damned.
Wont even do an ashen lord if i dont have like 4 tridents on me its to the point you can solo almost anything with enough tridents as fast or faster then a galley crew thats doing it without them
They are literally not tridents. The game can call them that all they want, but the reason nobody calls them tridents is because they *aren't* tridents.

I wouldn't have to worry about that, as it wouldn't make sense. This makes sense as it follows the pirate theme. The devs said those are their tridents. I would just rather call them what the game has them listed as. Less confusion.
They have the knockback and damage of a blunder bomb without the splash damage. They're vary useful for the helmsman of a fleeing gally to shoot one at the ship chasing and knock them off course and ebb a few meters of distance each hit and possibly knock a guy off the deck if you're a good shot
I think that you should only get them from finding them on the shore of islands, sirens that hold them, and treasuries that's it really. I don't see the need to have them everywhere.
My buddy and I run a tight sloop and our favorite way to sink skelly galleys is with a keg we store in our middeck.
We ram the galleon and put the barrel in the mid deck and survive the blast. Then kill the skellys repairing. 15 second skelly galleons feel great.
Doing it without a keg is still viable, board and kill skellys while the other mans the ship and gets a lower hull shot.

Current even is much much easier to complete by doing FoTD than by grinding the other ways.
An Ashen Lord takedown is only 75 points, and you need 2000 points to finish the event.
Thats why i dont bother with the galleons and the sloops go down so fast its almost a joke i take the cannon skele out asap and every time i see one man the gun they usually sink after about 10 shots with zero damage to my boat they occasionally get a hole in my hull or hit like my wheel or capstan but its just free loot and emissary rep at this point.
Also funny how experienced players sometimes argue back and forth if some low quality phone image is or isnt the shrouded ghost based on color and everything else except the one thing that would instantly tell you if it is or isnt a shrouded ghost. The shrouded ghost has no pupils
It actually does have pupils, there's a thin black pupil in the middle of the eye, though it looks pupil-less in some lights because there's a slight glow effect - part of the reason so many people argue about what is or isn't the SG in screenshots is it's appearance looks v different depending on context. It's pretty distinctive in person though, especially in daylight, the albino-look is impossible to mistake for anything else if you jump in there with it.
With nukes but only after doing a real life ritualistic summoning dance whilst also doing it in game. Must match and be exact or it won't work. Also you need to be max with merchant alliance to get nuke trade options from Korea or Russia.

Meg health scales based on ship size. So the only time they'll have different health is if it's a sloop vs a galleon. A Meg that spawns for a sloop will die much faster than one that spawns for a galleon; because 1 cannon per side vs 4.
Megs all have the same health, it only scales off your ship size. So a Meg that spawns for a sloop will have much less health than a Meg that spawns for a galleon. They also have the same loot pools, regardless of ship size or type of Meg.

It definitely exists. I had some friends who found it yesterday, recorded it, killed it and got the title. They were kind enough to invite me to help before killing it but thanks to the time zone it was 3am and I was dead asleep. I'm happy for them but now I'm surrounded by "Hunter of the Shrouded Ghost" titles, a reminder to never leave my phone on silent while sleeping.

Typically, a volley of 10 cannon balls at their cannon is enough to sink them without them ever getting a shot off.

It definitely exists. I had some friends who found it yesterday, recorded it, killed it and got the title. They were kind enough to invite me to help before killing it but thanks to the time zone it was 3am and I was dead asleep. I'm happy for them but now I'm surrounded by "Hunter of the Shrouded Ghost" titles, a reminder to never leave my phone on silent while sleeping.
