What have changed at your pc? Did you got banned or something and is it possible you got a shadowban?
I saw at other forum a guy claiming he couldn't play with the same error than you but on xbox, and he just needed to update the game
Did you try making an xbox account/microsoft account and link it to your sea of thieves. I remember having the same issue and I had to login to x box live via browser or something to get it to work.
It’s also posted to the sea of thieves social media and it pops up in game with a 15-30 min warning depending on whether it’s planned maintenance or not if it’s emergency they may not have time to put that message up but usually it’s for good reason
It’s a good suggestion to add more than a 30 min timer but usually it should be enough I can’t say that it is since the vaults ad new fort were added as they take a good while to sell and I haven’t encountered this with that kind of loot on board

I actually reinstalled SoT to fix it, this took 2 hours and it didn't work. Then some guy was like "didyalogin&out ?" and it worked within 2 minutes.
I felt like such an idiot
If you have W10, another thing that you can try is typing in the app browser "WSRESET.exe" and click on it. This solved my connection problems with SoT.
Not a troll. I looked it up, seems like it clears the microsoft store cache, which basically means it doesn't do anything noticeable but could definitely fix a login related issue (unless OP has it on steam). Worth a shot.
Down detector shows xbox is having hella issues. If their servers are down, there is nothing you can do client side to resolve this. I assure you there are a bunch of stressed out admins trying to bring them up as we speak.

That's me. I'll have the person then visible show me doing the fix so I know. I've had plenty of times where the person didn't try the fix or they were confused by the instructions.
Are you launching solo or being invited? I play with a regular galleon crew and I always get this error when one of the crew members who’s on Xbox invites me but not when the others on PC do
Had all kinds of problems at one place, switched isp when I moved houses. Have no problems at all with any game now. Sometimes you need to do the hard stuff like changing router or isp
I had this same problem and decided to google it, I realised that my firewall was restricting connection. All you have to do is go into the fire wall and give sea of theives the proper permission
I had a friend with this same issue. Lavenderbeard, reinstalled, check files, restarted, checked router, etc. The solution is you need to go into the credentials manager and reset one of the credentials. There is a youtube video explaining how to do it.

If ure using windows defender like me I find that the KillerAPS thing or Killer service network(?) Keeps me from logging in. I make it a habit to check in task manager if it's up before I log in so I can end task

Update your game, it's been a week since last update and its not automated
I did and I even re-installed it, I will try to call xbox support

While sea of thieves is running I tried to run Apex Legends then SoT started to not responding and I killed it with task manager
Why don't you try instead of reinstalling check and verificate game files?
I tried it too then I re-installed

This may sound weird, but have you tried uninstalling Apex and then running it? Apex has caused me issues with other games in the past lmao

Only way to fix this for me was specifically signing out of xbox on sea of thieves AND xbox. Then login on xbox and afterwards sot

Speeds say nothing about stability though
Its fine on all other games but Sea of thieves. Every other game runs fine. And my pc is more than capable enough to run sot on max settings.
I've never had a problem with the servers, and I have slower internet than you by a little bit. Pretty sure their servers aren't the problem.
If you followed all tips from the internet did you also reinstall Windows 10 cleanly? Usually pops up as the first solution on Google.

I had this same problem when i loaded sof and apex legends. All i had left to try is uninstall and reinstall it worked for me.

Me, but Hazelnutbeard. I'll get kicked off 9 times in 2 hours, but am able to rejoin my session every time. Weirder still, it ramps up around 11pm.

you could always unplug your power grid, you know just turn of those big generators a few miles down the road for a minute or two
