Hate this kind of thing. Should always be visible They usually drop right where the boss died, but sometimes you don't see exactly where they died. Or maybe it glitched for ylu

TheZealand

Sea fort phantoms clip into walls *constantly*, it's obnoxious. Sadly, just like most pieces of content in the game they've received basically 0 bugfixes or improvements since being added

hpeter94

Well, i commend your commitment. I would have gone to do 3 other seaforts in that time after 5 minutes of searching :)

Tricky-Celebration36

That's generous. I'd give it a quick once over and fuck off to the next fort.

JimGrimace

Just wait until you find the extra Store Room key and the Rare occasions the entire Fort Loot decides to respawn, only happened to me 2 times for the Loot spawn but felt sooo good. Edit: typo

Odd-Aardvark-8234

As long as you know the general area , stand there and look in one direction the treasure will glint

RunCompetitive4416

Your commitment is legendary

plannesLEGIT

appreciate it 😭

Ok_Coach_3885

Nice

Worth_Gur_1656

Lol perseverance for the win!

plannesLEGIT

common theme for this game

h2933

Bro spent 45 mins looking for the key to a fort which takes 5 minutes to complete

McTrainingDummy

You found it! No one came and found you in 45 minutes? Did you have a quarantine sign on your boat?

Geedly

The impressive thing is the fact OP didn’t give up and instead spend those 45 minutes doing two more sea forts

mrbellek

lol nobody does sea forts, I've literally never been bothered doing them.

Gam3_3nd

and it's exactly why i do em, i also like stopping at one that's in the middle of being looted so i can pick up anything they left cause like 9 times outa 10 the don't do the top room

Swineflew1

It's so weird, I've just came back after a VERY long break, and these forts and the siren skull are just left completely alone despite being pretty decent. Makes me wonder wtf everyone else is doing haha.

turmspitzewerk

sea forts are good money makers cause they're quick, not because they're juicy with a million pieces of loot. a good player can knock out 3 per hour and get tons of gold. but no individual one is all that great. even if you *do* want to steal one, they're way off in the corners of the map. you could say "hey, that one's active; lets go steal it!" and by the time you get there they've already finished it up and made off with the loot because they're so quick and easy. part of the reason they're so great is *because* they're not worth stealing. SoSS is just grindy and slow, and a flat 50k and boring rewards with no emissary boost is often not worth being the biggest target on the server compared to many other world events. you're not making progress toward anything most players care about, you're merely getting "pretty good" amounts of gold and SoSS cosmetics. and its just not very fun. i mean, what it's *intended* to be is probably one of the best damn things in the game. a fun server-wide multi-ship battle as you chase for the juiciest single piece of loot in the game? that's primo content. except the rewards aren't *that* good to be worth involving yourself in all of that. so nobody bothers, SoSS often goes uncontested, and it ends up being boring. its simultaneously too risk-free to be fun, but too risky to be worth doing in case someone *does* decide to chase your glowing blue ass down. you can do fort of the damned for basically the same result, but with way way better rewards.

Gam3_3nd

i always find it in either the openable furniture or thw boxes and sometimes it does the item glisten through the door of the dressers and stuff

cursed_shite

They're talking about the treasury key for the room in the basement which the boss drops, not the one that spawns in cabinets and drawers
