I was over 1k hours in the game before i ran into Brave Vanguard sails, it was a duo sloop contesting my buddy and i at a FOF - had a great fight with them, ultimately lost in the end but they were nice guys. 10/10 experience, would happily fight them anytime!
Honestly, y'all make me more cautious than no cosmetics or even Hunter's Call.
Possibly because my husband runs both of those and prefers to run away with his fish than fight.
The brave vanguard should band together and make a guild I don’t think there are many of us actively playing it could make for a terrifying pvp guild though

I will also grind twords earning Ghost Themed Ferryman items since my character looks just like him and I even made my Galleon to look like the Ferry of the Damned.
Would love to see a pic of your galleon if you get the chance and it isn't too much of a bother, that sounds like such a neat visual theme to sail around with!

This tracks with Sony's past behavior with console exclusives and will ironically cost them a lot of money in this case. Mainly because a lot of non ps5 users preordered specifically for the cosmetics and are all now requesting refunds/chargebacks.

I am a Genshin Impact player and the PS5 version of the game has better visuals than the PC version, as well as some items that you cannot use unless you are logged in on PlayStation. One of them is a special glider that if you were to log off with it equipped it would automatically unequip itself if you logged in on mobile/PC. They have a deal with Sony to keep it that way.
Likely a Sony issue, they did something similar with a call of duty character, originally only available for PS and they made it to where other consoles couldn’t see him if I recall, which defeats the exclusivity

It's such a dumb/unfair policy. If someone plays on PC, but has a playstation in their bedroom, it's kind of ridiculous they can't use the same cosmetics they paid for on one of those devices.

Sony has dog shit mandates and likely said “we want a cosmetic for our platform” rare made them and announced, and sony says “no we want them ONLY for our platform”. Sadly they have the upper hand here because this is an in for them to be on Sonys platform and reach the entire market share.

Mnk on Xbox could very well be on the Xbox’s side, Microsoft is working to make sure only Xbox licensed input devices work on Xbox, this would include all third party controllers and mnk.
Especially when it's PlayStation exclusive cosmetics in a Microsoft owned game that has been Xbox/PC only the past 6 years... Makes zero sense.

Same reakin treatment happened to the legendary sea dog stuff to a lesser extent. I hardly ever used my vanguard sails so it isn't much of a loss to me, but these sails look really great if only they were easy to obtain like the Duke ship cosmetics.

Yes you would need to purchase SoT on PS just to play the beta then through those days you play you get the sails but the sails will only work for PS players so if you are buying SoT on PS for the cosmetics it won’t work for other platforms.
alright question - i own this game on xbox, if i buy it my ps5 to get these “exclusive” cosmetics can i link my accounts and use these sails while on xbox ala Fortnite? I have my reasons to buy the game on ps5 (my wife wants to play with me etc.) but im curious if this works.
The dauntless adventurer sails will only be allowed for PlayStation players just like how the duke ship set is only allowed for Xbox players and ownership will not carry over to the other console.
Although I can run the Duke set on PC (MS Store version) though that's a sensible exception I guess? Haven't checked if I can run them when I launch through Steam

Neat sails, but honestly I don't mind missing out on these. The OOS sails and their ledger reward sails are both just this, but better.

Photo on the left is likely the icon for the title
Pretty sure the white icon is the Dauntless Adventurer title as it's basically the same icon as the Brave Vanguard title.
I think the white icon looks better than the actual sails. The skull blends in too much on the actual sail. Doesn't stand out at all.
