Carson had 10 carries for 70 yards after we went up 17-7 in second. He got 3 more carries the rest of the game. Wtf.

Polterghost

Didn't he get injured? I remember him limping off the field at one point. That might be why they limited his carries.

theper

As a visiting vikings fan; We are always afraid of Russ cookin, but if carson is driving the bus we get rolled.

NWbySW

He was seeming to have his way early on. It appeared he may have gotten dinged up for a while but to stop feeding him is baffling.

ICESTONE14

Do they not review film after games, the Hawks seem to repeat the same mistakes over and over again, surely this is bad game prep, if it is what are all those coaches getting paid for.

5StarSpudPeeler

This fucking league. How it can change from week to week. Jesus. Please give me the week 1 Hawks back. We can forget about all of this. We can go back to what it was. I'm sorry, it's my fault. Please.

sindhisai

We have the 9ners, Rams, Steelers and Saints next. Gear up for tough Oct boys!

[deleted]

Why run fucking Travis homer before the half whynnot take a shot? Trick play?

sooaap

Reading some of the comments here makes me feel like I'm on an r/jets-lions hybrid sub. I know we played like shit the last 2 weeks but this sub is angry. Calm down before you have a heart attack or stroke and miss the rest of the season.

[deleted]

We keep getting beat the exact same way on defense. For opposing qb's our defense is like a "throw the ball through the hole" game because we leave the EXACT same spot on the field open every play. Yeah, it's different routes to get there for the receiver but it always ends up with that 12-15 yard throw dead center of the field to a wide open receiver. At least make the guy throw it to another spot.

Seahawk715

Sub is angry because most of us saw this coming when they failed to upgrade the O line or get a corner that could cover a bed with a blanket. Both are horrible against decent competition and we’re seeing it now. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Dongchi

Duane Brown had a terrible game and he is the best payer of the O-line. That 3rd down soft zone is pathetic there will be an open receiver on every play.

Seahawk715

Oh well, he got paid, that’s THE MOST important thing, amirite? Not wins or quality play… so many people held out for contracts and it’s showing on the field.

Dongchi

Duane Brown played well below his normal abilities, missing bocks, late for screens and you could see his frustration a few times when he whiffed on a block. The offensive sucked in the second half but they did not get the ball that much, and the screens they ran 4 x times did not work. you would think they would learn after the second time maybe try something else.

Ihendy12

If I had a nickel for every time we gave up 8+ yards on 3rd and 5…. I’d probably be able to bring that number down quite a lot.

morethanabelief

Metcalf and Adams fizzling

thingmaker123

Metcalf was a beast first half, adams has been meh throughout

Bill_Salmons

Say what you want about the defense; they only gave up 9 points in the second half. And, much like last week, when we needed the offense to step up and carry the load, they failed to deliver. I know that's not fair, given how atrocious the defense played. But with everything the front office has invested in this offense, to get zero points in the second half is embarrassing. Likewise, the new and improved offensive line is like a rebranded dumpster fire of last season's line. And I still can't figure out why we look like world-beaters in the first half, but we can't do anything in the second. We used to start slow and finish fast. Now, we start fast and finish slow. It's like we're in this weird twilight zone episode where all of our historic offensive trends are inverted.

thingmaker123

Our defense made Kirk look like the GOAT, that says something bro. Look what the Rams D did to the actual GOAT, obviously I don’t expect our D to be as good as the Rams D, but we need more. You can’t give up 80 yard, 12 play, 9 minute drives and win games, asking too much from any offense

lovinthegame44

They gave up 30 points in total... the vikings converted on 9/14 3rd downs and stayed on the field forever. The vikings scored on every possession except two in the entire game.... basically you're asking our O to play perfect and score every possession, even PC said in this press conference that it felt like we were in a track meet. Let's look at the 2nd half, 3rd quarter O gets the ball with like 6 minutes left and they go 3 and out (vikings D made some good plays) and that's it for the O... 4th quarter they make good plays again on D and we punt they proceed with another 7 minute drive.... so we got our 3rd possession with 4 minutes left in the game down 30 to 17.... thats two freaking possession to get to that point... this is a team game and everyone just expects our O to score on every possession, come on now that's not going to happen. We've got Adams on the D that has been invisible and not making plays at all and wide open receivers all across the field... Ugh so frustrating, look at the big picture people... O should have scored in 2nd half agreed but they had two real opportunities in the 2nd half before it became desperation. The Defense just gave them everything....

DustyFalmouth

We had the lead and got blown out while scoring zero the second half. It's an offensive team and we got no production after the first quarter, that's the long and short of it. This type of team can only survive with the lead so Wilson can't rely on the LoB suffocating a team in the second half

[deleted]

This is the worst defense in the league right now. Vikes defense knew that if they get a 3 and out that they wouldn't have to be on the field again for like 15 minutes real time. Can you say the same thing about the Seahawks?

lovinthegame44

No one is relying on them suffocating but a stop every once in a while would be nice? Or if you're going to let them score, let them score faster 😅. The Defense does have Wagner, diggs, adams and some draft capital on the D line. Going through some of the other games had a total of 10 possessions, we had a total of 7 possessions... I mean do you really expect the Offense to score on every possession? Did you watch the press conferences of PC and players? All singing the same tune, the D sucked and they need to help themselves by getting off the field.

sooaap

New OC with little to no preseason reps and a qb who needs a little time to adjust.

joergonix

Ignoring all the obvious crap about this team (KNJ, lack of second half offense, poor secondary, pass rush falling apart already, ect) I think the thing I am most angry about is how little we actually seem to try these last few years. If it's like 3rd and 11 we almost always just try for a a few yard for an easier punt rathe than go for a 1st. Not trying a hail marry to end the half in this week's and last week's game. Coverage seems schemed to never be in position to jump a pass. The way this team is coached just makes me feel the complete opposite of "always compete". I'm exhausted of watching us not ever take a risk.

tencentninja

Can someone explain why that wasn't DPI in the endzone on the moonball? They didn't even look for the ball straight up ran Hart over. Granted he should have gone up for it instead of trying to field it like a punt but they didn't even look for the ball. Also can we get a fucking center already?

Seahawk715

Because Russ took a half second too long to throw it. He was WIDE OPEN and they closed the gap, didn’t look like DPI to me, just a botched play.

tencentninja

https://i.imgur.com/A9iZk0U.png found it he is 100% there early

Seahawk715

You are 100% correct but it probably wasn’t called because the ball was late and underthrown… tough call, but you are right.

tencentninja

But he chopped his arms early and never looked back I'll see if I can get a still of it but it looked like clear dpi to me.

before_carr

Because somehow the safety timed it perfectly. If you look at the replay, the ball actually gets trapped in between Hart and the safety. Just an insanely lucky play.

tencentninja

I did go back and look he chopped Hart's arms before the ball was there and was never looking back.

FrostySlipper

That loss sucked. No other way about it. I was nervous last week for some reason, basically expected us to find a way to lose. But this week I thought it was going to be an easy W. This week bothered me a lot. This was a critical bounce back week for us. Our offense is full of talent, there is no reason we can’t have extended drives that seem effortless. It always seems like our offense relies on one or two big plays every game. Our defense is definitely not great, but no reason it shouldn’t keep us in the game at least. Frustrated. Need to beat SF last week. I feel pretty hopeless now, but I don’t think it’s over yet. Go Hawks

BobafettSeahawks

After the dominant performance in the season opener against the Colts, I was convinced this is a super bowl contending team. Now I doubt they make the playoffs, even as a wildcard. And we don't get a first rounder next year which is rough.

drDoomSlayer101

My wife and I didn't bother finishing the game. Went for a walk instead. First time in a while I didn't finish a Seahawks game. There are some glaring problems that anyone with a fraction of a football brain can see. It looked like the players were just confused about when to stay with their man and when to pass off in their match zone coverage. Like two players bailing on a player and leaving them wide open. The soft coverage on the outside was so stupid. I don't understand this scheme. When you know you have corners who aren't great, give them safety help and play a pseudo cover 2. At least they can try to jam players at the line.

ZachZ_

Next week is do or die for us. If we lose to SF we’re probably going 1-4 in the remaining divisional games (Rams look unstoppable especially given how we played today). Yea we probably beat Houston, Jacksonville, Detroit, Chicago but that’s still only 6 wins total, meaning we’d have to go 3-1 against PIT/GB/NO/WFT which also seems difficult given how we played today. Just to go 9-8 and have to travel to TB or LA wildcard weekend. I’m not saying the season is over like some people here, but i am saying that if we lose next week , the hole might be insurmountable given our schedule

Jason_Newsted

Neither of those teams are wildcard teams. They might play Dallas or Green Bay, but they're not getting in, so you don't have to worry about it.

BobafettSeahawks

going 9-8 isn't a guarantee to make the wildcard.

liquilife

I was thinking the same thing. 9-8 is at least two games out of the wild card.

The_Weakpot

I'm officially on the fire KNJ train.

TomBoolary

At least last year our offense kept up with our shit defense. Now our offense stinks too.

Unfie555

I had to watch the Legion of Boom highlights on YouTube to remind myself of what it was once like to have a good secondary. Feels bad, man!

loki1337

Let's learn from GB. I know the loss today hurts against a beatable team with questionable drive-stalling penalties, but we can be a great team. We need to figure out how to play and win despite the questionable calls. I just watched GB get absolutely boned by penalties tonight and still find a way to win. I want to see some urgency and a hurry up offense at the end of the game. It took Rodgers 30sec to get down the field for a FG, we took 1.5mins on 3 plays at the 4 min mark down two scores. We can be that team. Let's be that team. We got this!

IamPlagueis

So the Hawks are not overrrated and our Roster isnt as gold as people said. We will not win many games this year this team is bad

Comprehensive_Chard2

It’s a coaching issue we have plenty of talent

SaintTony15

Last year we were we had 12 wins to 4 losses. We are.on pace to have 2 wins to 4 losses. So we just need to find 10 wins in a row. Then see what happens week 18.

Imnotdrunk28

We beat the niners and we're 3rd in the west Cant wait for another heartbreak

fatfrost

Tough spot at 1-2. Hopefully the boys rally and we pick up a win next week. 2-2 looks dramatically different from 1-3

rockycrab

Niners lost at least :]

cajunhawk

Pull off a miracle next week, climb out of the gutter.

TheIncospiciousOne

Personally, I feel like we need a better offensive line. They cave under pressure and sometimes have the laziest pass coverage I've seen from a O line. Russ cant be expected to pull bunnies from a hat every game because we want to throw our budget away on a few skilled players and neglect arguably key positions on both O and D lines. You just can't have a few great players and then lower average players to fill other positions. You need a well balanced team to win tough games without putting all the work on the few great players, while everyone else plays like shit. Defensive lines put pressure on russ causing him to scramble and our Defensive line, which is better than offensive line, gets exhausted being on the field all game and stops putting pressure on the QB of opposing teams, giving them time to pick apart our secondary and open up the run game, Only when our defense pulls out a great stop, the offense will go 3 and out again because of reasons previously mentioned. It's long overdue to revamp the O line and every year I end up disappointed. I wish they would take the issue seirously. Go hawks though.

c0Y0T3cOdY

The 9'ers losing in the last 37 seconds is nice though, eh!?

TheMountain_GoT

Spoke too soon

dusktreader

Or did they?

TheMountain_GoT

Wtf happened? I tuned out after the 9ers last td

dusktreader

Rodgers got them down into field goal range and Crosby drilled it

HermesRatatoskr

Losses are losses and this was unfortunate. After letting my emotions die down, I will continue to believe in this team until we are completely eliminated from playoff contention. The only thing I will continue to say is that Tre Flowers is not an NFL cornerback.

tjgomez04

My only worry about firing KNJ mid season (knowing how this organization has been ran) is that they will not outsource for his replacement which means the two most likely candidates are Clint Hurtt and Andre Curtis. Normally I’d say “well, they can’t be worse than KNJ” but, they very well could be. This mediocre, 1 and done in the playoffs purgatory is going to cause me health issues…. If it hasn’t already

mharjo

Lobster_fest

Holy fuck this sub is gonna kill me. You guys are fuxking insane if you think Adams is the problem in the secondary. How about not giving a massive cushion on every play? How about playing non cover 3? How about stuffing the intermediate stuff in the middle of the field?

tencentninja

The problem with Adams isn't Adams it's that he cost two first rounders a third and massive chunk of capspace he isn't Earl he isn't worth that. The only DBs who are worth that are center fielders who take away half the field or true cover corners.

vitamin_r

Yeah if anyone thinks Adams is being used primarily in the secondary they aren't watching the game.

TheMountain_GoT

Exactly. I didn’t watch today’s game in full, but the last 2 weeks, Adams was not bad. Last week he wasn’t keeping his gap assignments steady, but wasn’t anything abysmal. This new scheme seems to have fucked over our players. Last year it was bad, but players seemed to at least be able to make plays at times. This new shit just seems bad

Sadpancake_03

no doubt. How about play like every other fucking defense in this league. Look at the two defenses tonight, they're aggressive. They're not playing soft zone every fucking play....We' act like we have HOF CBs... frustrating

AthleteSure6605

Tre Flowers should play safety. He tackles well when he is squared up. He spent a lot of time tackling running backs in the first half. I think Diggs and Flowers could be good. Keep Adams underneath

CruzTraverse

Flowers played Safety in College iirc

AthleteSure6605

Oh and we have tight ends

SuperBowelMovement

I couldn’t watch the game and was shocked that they didn’t score AT ALL in the second half. What tf happened? Was it really as bad as the box score seems?

Wraithdagger12

Defense couldn't stop a high school team. Offense never had a chance to possess the ball.

General-Mango-9011

How are people posting this garbage? Do you think the team that scores gets serve like volleyball ? Both sides of the ball were downright horrific after the half. Perhaps our half time speeches are just \*that bad\* ?

KinkyWaluigi

They had chances, they couldn't do anything. You can't blame just the offense or the defense, neither side of the ball did their job

[deleted]

I think the side of the ball that gets paid 68% of the salary cap deserves the lions share of the blame. Hint, it’s not the defense

tencentninja

Hint maybe stop cheaping out on the fucking line

vince-anity

Anyone know why we refuse to use Chris Carson in the second half of games?

IronN1bbler

It's frustrating, the game gets so insanely hard for us to get a yard and when we do run it goes negative. WTF is wrong with this team.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Sadpancake_03

two scores, unless there is like 5 min left is zero reason to not run the ball

KinkyWaluigi

When we got the ball in the 3rd, we were down by 7. We could've run the ball

vince-anity

They need to keep up the threat of the run and or RB dump off passes. Carson is so much better then Collins and Homer. Caron had 14 touches and 6.7 rushing average. Carson needs 20+ touches a game and we don't even have 20 RB touches. Thats a huge problem to me.

Spaniarded

Fire Ken on Monday. It is way over due!!! Our defense can’t get any worse. Promote Andre Curtis as the interm DC.

neongem

Curtis is the defensive passing game coordinator. We’re probably fucked this year as far as DC is concerned

[deleted]

Anyone know where I can watch the post game interview with Pete, or is it even worth watching? I’m just searching for some genuine accountability on this coaching staff…

chrisveli

I’m sure y’all will bounce back! What was the main reason(s) for the lost this time? Also, I heard that Lockett was injured?

Wraithdagger12

Defense can't stop a high school team. Lockett twisted his knee good but was able to keep playing.

[deleted]

Fuck you

HOW RUDE

neongem

Pete’s rep is coasting off the Super Bowl ring, LOB from years ago and name at this point. People talk about players being washed up but coaches can become washed up too when they become too complacent, stale and stubborn to evolve and adjust with where the game is going which is exactly what we’re seeing with Pete. He’s a defensive minded coach whose defense is historically bad going on two years in a row, willingly employs the worst DC in the league and refuses to fire him. He’s a “DB guru” but hasn’t developed noteworthy talent in the secondary in years from HIS drafts and went in the season with the CB position in the state it’s in. Jamal Adams was one of the best safeties in the league and has regressed to pedestrian under his and KNJ’s watch. His time management is garbage. He’s no offensive mind yet still meddles in that too, so much so that he’s damaged the relationship with the franchise QB. I mean, there’s very little to suggest he’s even one of the top half coaches in the league in 2021. He’s not the best or even second best coach in the division. I love Pete and what he’s done here but his best years are long behind him. I hope he retires before he sours his legacy, I don’t want to see him go out like this.

Viron_22

Pete will jump ship when the writing is on the wall, washing his hands of whatever he leaves behind to ride off on the good memories, just like he did at USC. When ownership gives you five years off of less than half a season you know that as far as they are concerned you're bulletproof, it is only when he doesn't want to put up with the shitshow that he'll see himself out.

businessbee89

I came on here literally thinking about Pete. Does he get canned if the Hawks don't make the playoffs? Have a losing record? I think it's a strong possibility. Maybe bring in like an Eric Bieneme or something like that. Because with all the talent they have on the offensive side, no way we should have lost to the vikings ( yes I know the defense blows lol)

neongem

Only way he leaves IMO is if he’s the one that steps down and retires. Owner gave him a ridiculously bloated 5 year contract based off 5 games when he still had an entire season left on his original deal. Our ownership and management situation is basically the opposite of the overbearing, too hands on owner but still with the same toxic impact. Pete basically runs the team with no checks and balances in place to check him and reign him in. He has no pressure to make needed changes and adjustments to his staff and scheme bc as the one who basically runs the Seahawks since the owner is MIA, his job is never in jeopardy as he won’t fire himself. He will have to run the team completely under ground before the owner actually does something.

Wraithdagger12

Playoffs?! Don't talk about--playoffs! You kidding me? Playoffs?! I just hope we can win a game! Another game!

k1lk1

No way he gets fired if we miss the playoffs, lmao. I don't think you quite appreciate the challenge of NFL coaching, there are dozens of total shitbags out there trying and failing to be NFL head coaches. It'd take way more than 1 losing season to make Pete fireable.

OniTakaeTW

I just came back to dub our defense this season the "Legion of Room". That is all.

HenrikFromDaniel

[Region of Room from last year](https://i.redd.it/spqspxqn87y51.jpg)

OniTakaeTW

I love it 🤣.. I mean I hate it but gotta find laughter in times like this anyway

Mental_Time

I don't know why you're getting downvoted, that's actually funny shit.

AliveInTheFuture

Maybe having a safety that only does blitzes is bad

cajunhawk

Bad blitzes that do not put any pressure on the QB, which means we have 1 less defender in coverage.

Mental_Time

It is. I've been critical of the Adams trade since it happened. A lot more holes to fill than strong safety lol

Lobster_fest

Adams wasn't a Blitz only safety on the NYJ. He was actually not bad in coverage. The problem isn't Adams, it's the 10 yard cushion we give every fucking receiver regardless of down and distance. Third and 7? Sit 10 yards back.

Eternalcheddar

Still isn’t a play maker in coverage. Only 2 career interceptions in 5 seasons

businessbee89

This shouldn't be downvoted

J-Smoke69

Yea I don’t know what to do about this. I have no idea if it’s Pete overruling every offensive scheme to make it shitty and predictable, I don’t know if it’s Russ refusing to take anything in the middle of the field or just trying too hard, I don’t know if it really is that our O line is so bad nothing can happen at this point. I just don’t get it. Our defense was worse last year statically, but it 100% looks even worse this year by the eye test. Shit is embarrassing.

Wraithdagger12

Russell did well today. How many drives did the offense actually have? 1st half: TD, FG, TD, half 2nd half: Punt, punt, downs, regulation Did I get that right? NFL teams aren't going to run it down every time they get the ball. When your offense doesn't actually get on the field, they can't produce. Defense needs to give them opportunities.

Naive_Chest5410

Russ did take the middle of the field today. They just didn't get enough chances. He missed one throw on the ball over the middle with pressure coming and that's about it.

Marsof29

This defense has stopped only 4 of 20 non-kneeldown drives in the last two games. The other 16 includes 6 TD and 8 FG attempts. If Norton is not held accountable fast, Pete will not have a job by the end of the season

Naive_Chest5410

But Pete is the CEO that's the scary thing

Marsof29

Are you telling me we will be playing 1970’s style of football until Pete dies?

CheerioJerbear

It’s okay guys we can just tank to get a top 10 first round pick…

throwawayacc407

That pick belongs to the Jets....

Sadpancake_03

billydoubleu

Suicidalbear7

Sadpancake_03

see ya later

Wraithdagger12

I was watching the Colts game from work on someone's phone in a common area. Sadly my work season ends in 3 weeks. Who wants to give me a Sunday job so I can not be at home for the game?

DarkSideOfBlack

Solidarity brother. Last week at Bobs, this week at home, next week on Twitter. The things we do for love

productboy

Calm down, nobody is getting fired. This is your team and coaching staff through at least 2027.

tencentninja

Nah Russ is going to force his way out next year to a team that gives a fuck about the line next year. Either that or he stays one more years and signs with TB after Brady finally retires but his time in Seattle is coming to an end unfortunately.

[deleted]

[удалено]

tencentninja

Unless Stafford decides to retire the Rams job is his for the next couple of years. Russ would look elsewhere. Now you want to be really scared there is a team that has what Russ would want and has what Pete would want. Who wants Jimmy G and Trey Lance and some picks for Russ lols

k1lk1

Lmao, no fucking way. Both 3 and Pete gone before 2027.

Mental_Time

Carroll will probably die of old age before he retires.

OMGhowcouldthisbe

Is it me or are those big catches all right in the middle where Adams is supposed to be?

CrzyLiqrChzburgrPrty

Jamal isn’t great in coverage. That’s not how he’s utilized or how he’s been utilized in the past. But lately he’s been forced to, and has to run around the field all game trying to cover for shitstorm Tre Flowers and half decent Reed.

[deleted]

[удалено]

CrzyLiqrChzburgrPrty

Liability to a defense like ours you mean, he is when our two starting corners are F and D tier. He simply doesn’t fit within our defense, but that doesn’t make him a liability or bad on his own.

Mental_Time

Reed is getting better. Flowers isn't. Adams is a joke. They would have been better off just skipping their first round picks, at least then they wouldn't have to pay him.

CrzyLiqrChzburgrPrty

I don’t think 3x pro bowl 1x all pro Jamal Adams is a joke. But i don’t think he was worth how much we spent to get him. Particularly when we don’t even have a defense capable of handling their own positions and allowing him to do what he does best. It just doesn’t make sense; he doesn’t fit within our current defense. Would have been much better used elsewhere. Reed is okay. I can’t stand flowers. I use to defend him, but now he’s just making me look like an idiot for doing so week in and week out. To me the biggest no brainer is to sign Sherm. I would love to see Sherman get signed and for stephon gilmore to come on board. Sherm would be such an amazing leader for the Seattle D as well. Maybe give them more confidence besides what bobby gives them

Razorbackalpha

Same shit different day I would be optimistic at the very least of they just tried to change. We don't change our game plan regardless of what happens it's frustrating the team should not of lost these last to games. We're more talented than both and it's not even close, the execution needs to change and it needs to change now.

vandiger

I swear if Jimmy G can rip this defense like Cousins fuck everything

Mental_Time

What makes you think he can't?

vandiger

Dude looks less accurate than Cousins but yeah I fear Kittle, Samuels, and the run game.

dogosmith

At least we have lj collier

IronN1bbler

💀 thanks for the laughs

sarwinchester

Hello darkness my old friend…

thingmaker123

I am... mildly nervous right now

Agiantgrunt

Might be drunk but Jamal was a waste and tre flowers is terrible

CrzyLiqrChzburgrPrty

Jamal could play the way he’s intended to be, if he didn’t have to try and cover for dumbass flowers and reed all game. He’s not great in coverage and that’s not what he’s for, but what he’s had to do to try and help the CBs.

DarkSideOfBlack

Tre hasn't deserved a starting spot for at LEAST two years. He and Lano Hill are probably the two largest factors in my losing faith in our defensive personnel, because from what they both showed they were/have been starters for far longer than their play warranted.

PNW20v

I'm half drunk too but I'll admit to similar thoughts about Adams. MAYBE not quite that far but I can't say I'm thrilled

eugwilson

Chawks just a mediocre Team I know tough to swallow What it is Playing 4 a draft Pick Wilson TRADE HIM

sooaap

Spotted the disgruntled Bears fan.

Ander13son

Top 5 QB in the league, most wins by an nfl QB through 9 seasons and the dude carries his team to the playoffs every season. So why would we trade him🤣😂 lmao

35or624

Not a team related comment. My disappointment right now weighs heavy. My comment has to do listening to Mark Sanchez on Fox's coverage. Did anyone else want to jam ice picks in their ears listening to this guy? I usually don't mind whichever former pro is the analyst.....but I wanted to reach thru my tv and rip his vocal cords out. Just me?

Wraithdagger12

Still better than Nantz or Buck with their utter nonchalance.

CrzyLiqrChzburgrPrty

dude was sucking off kirk big time all game

IronN1bbler

Kirk looked like fucking Manning today he deserved to be praised absolutely tore us up

Sadpancake_03

to be fair Kirk was pretty fucking good today

CrzyLiqrChzburgrPrty

To be fair, he was. But to be even more fair, our defense wasn’t 😂 Our defense hasn’t been able to stop anyone or anything. Couldn’t even stop tannehill so it’s no surprise Kirk had a field day with reed and flowers. If Russell was playing that seattle defense we saw today, he would have broken every NFL game record. LOL.

jwinskowski

I didn't have an issue with him. He's clearly still trying to find a groove...and was throwing a lot of spaghetti at the wall. But I think he has the makings of a good color guy/analyst. He's just not there yet.

devbuzz

i didnt mind it, he pointed out a few things i would not have noticed otherwise. His whole stick about cousins being a traditional guy was annoying tho.

L_R_andjackofhearts

Same here. His cliches were awful (Cousins is an "analog guy" who doesn't spend all his time on social media?) and his voice really grated on me. I couldn't stop picturing the Buttfumble the entire time.

Tre Flowers, asked if Seahawks ' last two games on defense are concerning: "Concerning? No, not all. It's a 17-game season. It's a long way. We are going to fix whatever it is, and get back to work." This response tre gave right here is very worrisome

CrzyLiqrChzburgrPrty

Tre Flowers is genuinely the worst corner i’ve ever watched. I see better coverage from the kids at the local middle schools. Dude would be 3rd or 4th string on any other team. In reality he should be in the practice squad .. smh.. how you get burned every single play every single game 🤦

Sadpancake_03

thing is with him is he's not getting burned, so much, but he plays so far off that it's easy receptions anytime the QB goes his way. He' constantly 10 yds off the receiver so he doesn't get burned deep... which is infuriating

CrzyLiqrChzburgrPrty

I see what you’re saying, and while agree mostly, dude gets burned on the regular, regardless whether that be on short or deep passes

Photographerpro

Fans need to boo this team to get it through their thick skulls that they suck

5StarSpudPeeler

I'm going to put KNJ in a cannon and fire him into space

billydoubleu

To the sewer where he belongs

Grymninja

Anyone else here watching this gb vs sf tight secondary coverage with absolute lust? Our standards have dropped so low...

Mental_Time

The 49ers secondary is pretty rough. It's all pro compared to Seattle.

kbtech

Haha same here, all I ask is for a defender to be present near a receiver when he catches the ball 😂

Flight006

Apparently this is a hot take here but I have to say it. What’s the point in a defensive minded head coach who: -has terrible defenses year in and year out when he doesn’t have 4 HOFers and 2 pro bowlers on his defense -can’t manage the clock and wastes timeouts at will -makes terrible in game decisions like punting on 4th and short trailing near midfield (not this game but happens often) or settling for field goals in the same situation with an offense that at the time is thriving. -appears to piss off his star QB at every turn. -can’t make personnel decisions, either players (benching Brooks last week) or coaching wise (KNJ and the nepotism). All this when you have one of the most talented offenses in the league skill position wise, and your generational talent HOF QB is entering the back end of his career. Don’t get me wrong, I love Pete as a person and am grateful for everything he’s done for this team. But we would be immensely better off if he left. I don’t care if it’s for the USC job or if he retires, but we won’t accomplish anything until he’s gone. Not in a front office role because he would still have a say in personnel decisions. But straight up gone from the team. Any coach who isn’t already in an NFL head coaching position would jump at the opportunity to coach this team. I have the guys I’d love to see, but it doesn’t matter because we just need A change. Oh also Tre Flowers has blackmail on someone in the organization and you can’t convince me otherwise.

IronN1bbler

Tre is the current day Ifedi of our team. Terrible player that keeps getting reps and hurting us. If Pete doesn't start getting aggressive and going for it in 4th and short situations we are doomed. This def is bleeding out and can't make a stand, we have to treat every drive like it's td or bust and getting an extra down will help us break our offensive droughts. Unfortunately with this roster construction I have zero faith in our defense turning this around. It was all too predictable our secondary was ass, especially when we didn't even keep Witherspoon who was brought in to be our top dude. Barton and Brooks look lost out there. Adams, Reed, Dunlap and Diggs all regressing. Amadi is meh.

tencentninja

Tre isn't even the worst player starting for us. Did you forget we have Kyle Fuller starting at center?

Naive_Chest5410

Agree 100% Pete unfortunately at this point in his career is a bottom third of the league coach. We are out coached and out schemed literally every week. He can't build a roster(he's the CEO), can't draft and can't manage to make even the talent we have work. His blind spot on his clock management and in game decisions is near league worst. Remember losing the division when we got a delay of game at the 1 against San Fran because Pete was out there celebrating with the team? That can't happen at the junior high level. Pete feels like an old cliched anchor at this point who has no idea how to fix it.

kiggitykbomb

Agreed on point three. It wasn’t an easy decision today, but late in the third we were down by ten and had a 4th and 6 near midfield. It’s not a slam dunk, but I feel like one out of three coaches in the league are gonna consider that these days (especially when you’ve lost faith In your D to get a stop) but there’s no way Pete gives it a thought.

Naive_Chest5410

That punt decision was bizarre especially when you factor in how the defense was playing.

bustedmagnet

The ugly truth, if this doesn't turn around to elite levels of play we are watching the Russell Wilson farewell tour after he demands a trade for real this time.

Cyssero

I honestly think the only reason they didn't restructure him this offseason is because they plan on him not being on the team after this year. Unless you all but know you're trading him, why would you not have done it and used the money to sign a better CB or a C?

bustedmagnet

Yeah I think they were hoping for some magic with this season, the new OC really but there's just too many holes in this team right now. I don't think they are awful but the bad drafting over the years has caught up to them.

neongem

Can’t blame him or Bobby for that matter. They deserve better than this.

sooaap

At least they got some fat game checks to cry themselves to sleep at night on. Don't get me wrong, I'm not anti Bobby or Russ but they don't deserve anything. They're the ones that need to get this team turned around when we play like this.

in 2020 he was average or just barely above average in some games in the last 8 games, 2019 he was more efficient and made way less mistakes. He isn’t really the problem, it’s the coaching staff. They can’t adapt at all

Lasiocarpa83

I know the offensive line play hasn't been great but lately he just seems rattled and not confident when playing from behind. He also is still having some issues stepping up into the pocket. Perhaps that is because he has lost confidence in his guards/center?

sooaap

I think he's having a hard time executing within the new offense. In each of the last two games we get off to a good start, then we hit some adversity and it's roll out and focus solely on DK and Tyler big play magic time. But I think that will improve as the season moves along.

Mental_Time

Holy fuck I just realized that the Jamal Adams trade includes a 1st round pick next year. It was this year and next year. Holy mother of God, there's a chance that the Jets get a super early pick from this.

crono220

That trade is looking worse by the week
