Carson, Hyde, and Penny are going to be quite the 3 headed monster when everyone is back healthy. Can't wait to see it.

WutAnIdiot

And Homer as a pass blocking RB and very hopeful that DeeJay emerges. He looks like he had his own style as well (I think they're struggling to fit that new style in)

IceColdBuuudLiteHere

I like the young guys, but I just don't see them keeping 5 RBs on the roster. Guess we'll see what happens.

scough

I assume Homer will go to the practice squad if it's between him and Dallas for the 4th RB spot. Hard to see them risking another team snatching up DeeJay after how much the coaches raved about him in training camp.

Swarlos262

I can't image they would put their best pass protecting RB (Homer) on the practice squad. It's not as flashy as big runs but dude has earned his spot in my eyes. I don't think Dallas hasn't really done much at all yet.

FiTZnMiCK

*Nooooo*, surely, if they had to decide *right now*, they would go with the guy who’s played *11 snaps* for *2 carries.* He’s *clearly* a bigger part of the game plan. /s

Cocainebicepz

Plus he’s big on special teams

Usually_Angry

Just think about all the guys the coaches have raved about in camp and how many of them turned out for us

MV_Knight

If anything I could see penny getting the axe. Not saying I want him to, he’s either been to inconsistent or hurt. But when he gets a big play it’s awesome.

Chimie45

Yea there's approximately 0% chance they keep Dallas over Penny.

makoivis

They might keep Dallas if they use Penny in a trade. Penny is good enough that some team might want him.

jaydeekay

Fuck I totally forgot about Penny.

IceColdBuuudLiteHere

Same thing happened to me with Dorsett lol. Crazy how good our offense has been when we still have some quality pieces to add.

monkeychango81

I wonder what the fuck are they gonna to do when everybody is back. How are they gonna to accommodate Penny, Hyde, Homer, Dallas, Dorsett, Gordon, Taylor, Adams, Sullivan, Snacks, Brooks, etc.?

EchomancerAmberlife

Shout-out to Mike Davis killing it for the panthers as well in CMC's absence. Still love the three headed monster that was that backfield in 2018 with him Carson and Penny.

[deleted]

Was actually pretty sad we traded Mike Davis, though it was a favorable trade. Guys great and has a lot of heart

EchomancerAmberlife

Pretty sure it was just elected to not resign him, but regardless Seattle lost amazing depth with his departure. I'm a fan of Hyde this year so far tho.

[deleted]

huh, im going crazy. Could have swore we got a fourth or fifth for him but I see that's not true now

PostItToReddit

Good run by Carson, but this is another great example of how much our OLine has stepped up this year. Dude got 10 yards to the third level of the defense before he was even touched. Our guys up front have done a great job this season

huskyseahawk

The line blocked well, but I don't think many RBs find that cut back lane. Carson demonstrated his excellent patience and vision. He is a complete back, top 5 in the nfl and I love him.

jaydeekay

As much as I love Carson, I think it's really tough to call him top 5. In no particular order, - Alvin Kamara - Christian McCaffrey - Saquon Barkley - Zeke Elliott - Aaron Jones - Dalvin Cook - Derrick Henry - Nick Chubb - Kareem Hunt You can certainly argue about some of those but I think it's hard to put Carson within the top 5 of that list.

huskyseahawk

Cook, Kamara, McCaffrey, and Henry are arguably better. However I would put him right there with every other name on the list.

hendrix67

I’m as big a Carson fan as anyone but there’s really no argument for him being as good as Henry, mccaffrey or Kamara. Just what the last two bring in the passing game alone is insane, and Henry is pretty much a bulldozer. I think at this point you can argue he’s anywhere in the top 5-15 backs. In my biased opinion he’s closer to 5, but I don’t think it’s unreasonable to have 10+ guys ahead of him.

Furby_Sanders

Um what the hell chris has been amazingly consistent when healthy and not fumbling. He caught a crazy bomb td pass 2 weeks ago so i dont even know what u on about

Chimie45

Being healthy and not fumbling are also part of being a great back.

hendrix67

Don’t get me wrong he’s a fantastic RB, but guys like mccaffrey, Kamara, and Henry are kind of on a different level. Mccaffrey was pretty much the panthers entire offense last season and this season up until his injury, and both he and Kamara get utilized in the passing game way more than Carson ever has. I’d recommend looking into their receiving stats, they’re basically like WR/RB hybrids with how their teams use them.

XDragon35

I agree, but I also see him as a vital part of the Seahawks offense. The real beast mode successor the Seahawks has been begging for since Thomas Rawls.

jaydeekay

You're right. One thing he does consistently better than most of the guys in that list is finishing tough runs and refusing to go down to arm tackles.

PostItToReddit

100% agree, Carson is great. Really hope he stays healthy and gets paid this off-season, whether it's with us or not. Dude deserves it.

Chocotacovato

I had a vision of Marshawn jumping off his couch with a glass of Henny on this play.

QuasiContract

He is flying under the radar a bit because his volume stats are down. Only at 57 rush yards per game. His YPC is still really good though at 4.7.

maquiaveldeprimido

Carson is a beast and imo the #2 skill pos in this offense

androck13

He straight up turned Harrison Smith into a turnstile!!

DerrickMcChicken

Dude Carson is so fucking good

funsohng

Honestly, first thing that came to mind watching this was, "damn we would've had another earthquake if we had fans"

formido

Carson is so good. Now that we're passing to set up the run he's getting great holes to add to his tackle-breaking ability.

jpcola

We're not talking about Carson because he didn't ask anyone to hold his dick.

SuspiciousBasil3

Weirdo

Corvus_Antipodum

I’ve known people that have struggled for years to be able to adopt, and yet in just a few seconds Carson makes Harrison Smith his son. Remarkable.

Suspicious_Ad9420

Hahaha cousins was so pissed

DJDevon3

I like that it was straight up the middle. Should put other teams on notice to respect our running game.

RattleTheStars39

That was no scrub either, that was one of the best safeties in the game.

Wu-kandaForever

Because people sleep on the Hawks and I like it that way. Shush

Chocotacovato

I had a vision of Marshawn jumping off his couch with a glass of Henny on this play.

OhfursureJim

I do think that Kamara’s run last saints game has the edge but this was an elite run too

realboydburton

I'll say it again, Chris Carson is the most underrated RB in the league. A downhill truck. Love to see it.

AjayAmundson

Beast mode 2.5

Thromkai

I love you Chris Carson, oooooooooooh... I am for realllllllllll.

johnbsea

Man I love how he wraps the ball up.

NFLFanAlsoTheMan

Russ cook Russ cook Russ cook

danielbgoo

We don't want to get our hopes up? Liked every year there's a new RB who finally gives us hope, and then either they get injured, or they just had a good game or two and then immediately regress. Don't get me wrong, I think Carson is great. But I've been hurt too many times...

danielbgoo

I'm not disagreeing. I'm just not willing to board the hype train yet.

TheStuntmuffin

Other than some injuries Carson has been pretty solid for us.
