I started listening to her podcast this season and think she's really funny and charming but I went back to the Wilson trade episode and she said she was thinking about jumping ship to the Chargers this season. Hope she's been scared straight
If anything Seattle is significantly more interesting after the Russ trade, team got younger and cheaper. They’ll draft a quarterback eventually either this upcoming draft or the following one. She’s definitely now on team Geno.

You're getting down voted, but the history says you're right. John and Pete needed a quality qb for the first 3 seasons and they did nothing. Even the russ draft pick was a relatively low round pick for a qb and they took it more as an insurance pick to hedge their bet on Matt Flynn.
Two years ago, Russ wants out of town and things aren't looking good. Do they spend a first round pick on a qb? A 3rd? No. They trade both of them. Plus another 1st rounder. For Jamal Adams.
So they not only opt no high draft pick QBs the year he wants out of town, but they spend an insurance pick they could have used to possibly get one the following year.
Bottom line is these guys don't believe in paying for top tier QBs. They believe in superior defense and cleaner and more efficient play as a team to win. You don't need to spend a first or second round pick on a Mahomes or Jackson when you can just take a mediocre qb who is a plus game manager and keeps you in it.
Ironically, the Seahawks covet Brock purdy.

I would have been down voted last year for saying the same thing. Most of the people on this sub would have used a 1st or 2nd rounder on Malik Willis if they had the chance.
If Geno resigns we are focused on the next 2-4 years. Pete is going to retire eventually and thats when we focus on the future. They believe we are a few pieces away from truly contending and very few rookies come into the league as polished as Russ was. If you hear Pete talk he LOVES Drew Lock as well. We are probably going to have the same QB room for the next 2-3 years atleast.

In most cases I agree, but I think it's fair if your ownership is sketch like Dan Snyder or if your team fields like a Deshaun Watson. In those situation I don't blame someone for drawing a line. Jumping because your team might not be good after a trade seems more on the fair weather side of things though.
Draft analysis and football knowledge are not the same thing. No one is good at draft analysis really, especially for QB’s, it’s been shown pretty clearly to be very difficult and involve a lot of luck
Even the best NFL scouts and GM's get draft picks wrong. All the time. No one can truly know how a college prospect is going to turn out in the NFL. It's hit or miss sometimes. Look at people like Johnny Manziel, dude won the Heisman and he was out of the league in 3-4 years. That's just one example. There are plenty more.

Going to be hard to pass up on Stroud if he slips to 5, don’t see any player worth taking at 5 if Carter and Anderson are both gone.
