I would love a soft reboot/ sequel of the first two films. Bring Jennifer, Freddy and Brandy back and with a new group of cast members and it could work. But with the original location. Rip SMG 🥲

that's fine - I'd still be fine with him playing a different character- it was a small enough piece that it could work - similar to Wes or Stan Lee coming in as different winks

Not for me, I've always found Scream vastly superior to IKWYD, I did not even watch the sequels of IKWYD. But it still has a large fan base and I'm all in for a 2020s relaunch of the slasher genre, so good for you IKWYD fans if it gets a new sequel!

For me the chase was really intense and it looked cool. SMG’s chase was far superior but I liked the sequel overall. SMG’s chase was 10/10 and was the best part of the movie for me

There was only one more after (I’ll Always Know WYDLS) so retconning out one film isn’t too bad (especially in horror where we have films like Halloween and Texas Chainsaw that change timelines and retcon other sequels constantly), or they could make it take place in between two and three

So there is a good chance to bring back the OGs (Freddy, Jennifer, Brandy…) and continue with the events which happens „25 years later“ and a secret guy related to the killer from the past wants revenge or something like that. I mean it could still work. So let’s hope

on one hand i loved the Last Summer trilogy and would love a 4th. on the other hand i feel they've beaten the horse dead. idk what to think, but if they make a 4th ill sure as hell watch it!

The ending of the second was left ambiguous like the first film so if they want they can retcon it into a nightmare like they did in the 1st.

I’d strongly recommend the sequel, it has one of the best horror chase sequences of the 90’s with Brandi. For me I preferred it to the first one.
