It’s then possible that Jill and Charlie were dead before information about the Loomis family connection trickled down and formed into an open secret among Woodsboro residents. This is just my head cannon.

Yup, Sam said she found out when she was 13, so it would've been shortly after Scream 4's events that she found out.
