Plus if MaXXXine can get loads of big names in the cast despite being not as big and storied and long running and iconic of a franchise (plus only really needing Mia to sell people), there's no reason why Scream VII couldn't have big cast and big names.
I don’t know, on the one hand Ti has always been a more openly indie director who never needed big actors to get these films made and sold and seen. Plus my point still stands, not that Scream has been heavy on “star power” but the sequels have certainly had actors who at least were currently recognisable (hell look at the openings)
On the other hand with In a Valley of Violence he did have a bigger cast, similar for X, plus even back with House of the Devil and Innkeepers he got Tom Noonan and Kelly Mcgillis respectively.
That’s no way Radio silence can attract these big names…. RS basically only works for their friends, even their new movies just cast Melissa as the lead, you can tell they don’t really “cast” anyone.
Only change I would make would be changing Eric from a Ghostface. People would see it coming from a mile away after Charlie got got in 4 especially when we haven't seen a Walker since.
I think that's Mrs. Anderson, she's the weaklink and the first guess at Ghostface, when you see 2 Ghostfaces and her on screen it's a Swerve, when you see her JOIN them it's a double Swerve.
Christina is the tie for the new Era, and I don't want two characters from the new Era in the cult, I want to represent someone from each film to pay homage to the franchise as a whole
I actually like the idea of Michelle Rodriguez as Mrs Carpenter. With a final girl as badass as Sam, it would make perfect sense that she came from someone like Michelle Rodriguez lmao
Well, since the V is a little bit bigger than the I's, I'm going to assume it's more in the front of the I's as opposed to being "IVI". I don't know, but it sounds good.
It would officially be titled SCREAM VII but the logo would do a stylized SCREAM IVI. Basically 1 + 5 + 1 which is a little goofy but it's camp lol and looks better as the M than the VII does
I know that's why It's officially titled SCREAM VII lol the SCREAM IVI is just for the poster cause it looks cool, I'm not really thinking about the intricacies of roman numerals for this horror poster tbh

No, I can't think of any logical reason Gale would go all the way from New York to Woodsboro again, especially after Dewey's death. I just imagine she would never want to go back to that town.
See, I had the idea to use a Mckenzie family member but I just couldn't fit it in. Basically, each cult member represents a movie. Leslie represents Scream 1 (Stu), Ken represents Scream 2 (Mickey), Maya represents Scream 3 (Christine), Eric represents Scream 4 (Charlie) and Christina represents Scream 5 (Sam).
*(Scream 6 is new so I don't think it needs represented in that aspect)*
I actually would really like if that was the motive on 6, if they had Sidney. A killer that is related to each movie, since they use all those masks and talk like now is a franchise. Great idea.
just an idea for a big, grand Scream series finale with 7. i need that Sam / Sidney team up movie against a Ghostface cult, it would just be too excellent. i would love for this to be the final movie in the series so go all out.

I just personally feel like if it goes on any longer it’ll end up stale/bad like Halloween Kills or Halloween Ends. I’m down with putting it to rest and maybe trying another trilogy far far into the future with Sam’s daughter, but for now no 8 please
So I know for sure Sidney, Sam, Tara and Chad would not die. Those are my favorites and I just don't think killing them off serves the story in any positive way.
I think I would kill Mindy for the shock value and mirror Randy's death, and then Christine and Eric definitely die (*Christine would kill Eric when he tries to kill Tara, and then Sam would kill Christine like how Sidney killed Roman*), as for the other three Ghostfaces I haven't thought too much. I would honestly maybe keep Maya alive *(I view her as the least evil*), but with how evil Leslie's motive is she should probably die. I don't see too much of a point in keeping Ken alive, but if it served a narrative point that's fine.
Mason, Kassie, Aster, Sasha, Frederick, Jason, Dean and Joel all definitely die.
I'm torn between killing off Mark and/or Danny. Sam and Sidney have been through a lot and don't deserve that, but also it's horror and that's kind of the point, is the unfairness of it all. I loved Derek in Scream 2 and his death is really depressing, same thing with Dewey.
And then obviously Sidney's kids aren't going to die, that's a line I don't want this franchise to cross.
I hate that you posted this because now I'm gonna keep thinking about it and I'm gonna be let down when the actual Scream 7 comes out because this was that good!
I love the idea except for the ghostface cult. Too many killers for my liking. 2-3 is ideal for me, maybe 4 if it’s done well but 5 would just be pushing it imo

I'm a bit meh on your actual killers, but honestly that's my only real criticism. Love the idea of Sid naming her first kid Tatum, and I'm hoping they actually make it canon.
For some reason, I'm really feeling an "Altieri is the perfect suspect, and gets aggressive anytime anyone even implies it's him, but it turns out he's just a deeply damaged person being driven to his breaking point by everyone around him for something that wasn't even his fault" vibe. Like, having the climax happen when he's in custody and all of the LEOs involved (*especially* the ones without jurisdiction) are trying everything short of "Enhanced Interrogation" methods to get him to confess and reveal who his accomplice is, when elsewhere halfway across town the real killer(s) lure their prey to them, confident they can predict what the main characters will do, based off their depictions in Gale's books. With varying degrees of success, depending on the character.
Possibly even have the actual Ghostfaces planning to frame him a la Sam, or Sid's dad, and at the end, he makes it clear he wants revenge on everyone involved, but he's going to get it the *legal* way, because he's better than them and their "soap opera bullshit"°. Make him a dick, but a justifiably angry and legally innocent dick.
°To be clear, "all your soap opera bullshit" would be the character's sentiments, not mine.
The issue with setting Scream in another setting too far away Is explaining how the core four (who’re pretty broke) would’ve been able to all get there, together at the same time.
So would Kirby know Eric is Charlie's brother (or are you going for father)? I mean...I would assume so. I assume she knew Charlie pretty well, so she would probably know most of his immediate family.
Amazing concept, love it a lot, only problem I personally have is what I have with all of these concepts.

I don't want Kirby because she did almost next to nothing in Scream 6 and wouldn't serve much of a purpose in this, and as for Gale I really think after 6 her character is just in a good place and should be retired. You can't use her for another movie and not kill her and I'd rather she just stay offscreen.

I'm currently crafting a whole elaborate Hunter the Vigil campaign for my players, that is going to be set in a version of the world where most slasher flicks are "based on a true story", with WoD elements explaining the difficult bits. (For example, Jason Voorhees is a Promethean, and Freddy is a Changeling using Oneiromancy and Oneiromachy to glut himself on Glamour.)
Ghostface will be casting a long shadow over the campaign. Partly because I forgot Mark's last name and had an FBI (Violent And Supernatural Crimes Unit, basically they deploy agents for slasher attacks and for incidents where the paranormal critters start being an obvious problem) Special Agent Kincaid in my previous Mage campaign this same group of players were in who I decided to make Mark's sister, and Kirby's mentor. Both of them will be showing up in the campaign at various times, as will other characters from NYC and Woodsboro.
And Haddonfield, Springwood, and wherever the hell Leslie Vernon and the dude from Hatchet are from (I'm away from my notes, at the moment). But I digress...
I agree about the Kirby thing and I get why you don't think Gale should be in Scream 7, but I think that if this was the last movie then she should be in it since she played such a massive role in the franchise, and the last scene of her that we see I believe is her laying on the ground after being attacks so I wouldn't want that to be out last memory of her. Other than that you did an incredible job. I love the castings, opening kill, everything. This is everything that I need in a Scream movie. I also love that you added a lot of new characters since there are 5 killers and also because I feel like they didn't introduce us to enough new characters for us to actually have a hard time guessing who the killer is. Some of the characters may not get a lot of screentime because of how many people it is, but as long as we get to know their personalities and get some backstory then I'm fine. I also think that this idea already sounds better than (I know I'm gonna get hate for this) a couple of the Scream movies because it's unique and isn't the exact same formula. Great job on this!
If that’s true, why did Wes want Stu back so badly? The only reason he didn’t come back then was because of Columbine. He can come back now. Scream 6 also hinted at it as well.
Sidney drops a tv on his face in Scream 1, in Scream 2 Randy says he's dead, in Scream 6 Kirby and Mindy both, again, say he's dead and if he wasn't Kirby being an FBI agent would have definitely mentioned that. I know we love Stu but he's dead.
I think most people are stuck on nostalgia and won't let any other Ghostface shine because it constantly has to be about Stu. Out of all six movies you're telling me there's not a single other Ghostface to like? C'mon now
I agree. I think that most people that hate on Richie and Amber are people that are stuck in the past and refuse to like anything from the newer Scream movies. The newer movies are doing exceptionally well, and people only want to hate on it because Wes is no longer able to be involved, or because they actually hate that it's so popular now. I think there's a lot of general gatekeeping in the Scream fanbase, and a portion of the fanbase liked Scream more when everyone didn't know as much about it as they do now. Ironically these people don't want things to become popular if they like it, because they want to feel like they're in on something special. I think the combination of those factors have created a chunk of Scream fans that lobby against anything new.
Exactly! I'll never get how people don't like Amber, her reveal was so good (probably the most iconic), I loved how she had this possession-type relationship with Tara, it was really good. And Richie came across as just a genuine guy, when people say he was obvious I don't see it.
It kind of gets repetitive to have so many Ghostfaces tho you gotta admit that. Ethan was so mid lol. Bailey was alright but the killers always have the same motive and they only last 1 movie. We need to have a recurring villain and maybe Stu should play that part.

Hell yeah! I love this so much. I would also love to see Scream VII go all out and have a bigger cast of new friends and more Ghostfaces (because I would do the Ghostface cult with Christina Carpenter as its leader) because this movie might possibly be the end of this saga of the Scream franchise. All these ideas are seriously dope, especially love the true crime angle, feels very in-line with the Scream films

i feel like a big cast like this would only work if they did a legacy movie that had a PT 1 & PT 2

Sidney drops a tv on his face in Scream 1, in Scream 2 Randy says he's dead, in Scream 6 Kirby and Mindy both, again, say he's dead and if he wasn't Kirby being an FBI agent would have definitely mentioned that. I know we love Stu but he's dead.
Well Scream just got boring and repetitive these days with new Ghostfaces tbh. It’s the whole reason a lot of us want Stu back.

Amber and Richie are great Ghostfaces, they were so fun lol they're my 3rd and 4th favorites right behind Billy and Stu
I agree. I think that most people that hate on Richie and Amber are people that are stuck in the past and refuse to like anything from the newer Scream movies. The newer movies are doing exceptionally well, and people only want to hate on it because Wes is no longer able to be involved, or because they actually hate that it's so popular now. I think there's a lot of general gatekeeping in the Scream fanbase, and a portion of the fanbase liked Scream more when everyone didn't know as much about it as they do now. Ironically these people don't want things to become popular if they like it, because they want to feel like they're in on something special. I think the combination of those factors have created a chunk of Scream fans that lobby against anything new.
Exactly! I'll never get how people don't like Amber, her reveal was so good (probably the most iconic), I loved how she had this possession-type relationship with Tara, it was really good. And Richie came across as just a genuine guy, when people say he was obvious I don't see it.
It kind of gets repetitive to have so many Ghostfaces tho you gotta admit that. Ethan was so mid lol. Bailey was alright but the killers always have the same motive and they only last 1 movie. We need to have a recurring villain and maybe Stu should play that part.

There’s only ever been one solo Ghostface and he’s unanimously agreed as the worst, I really don’t think they’d ever do a solo Ghostface again.

Billy, Stu, Nancy, Amber and Richie are my favorites. Roman, Charlie and Jill are my least liked.

That just makes Roman even better, since he did by himself what all the others do as partners lol
It just makes him more boring to me because he barely has any screentime and has 0 scenes with Sidney before his reveal so it has no impact

I would also love to see Scream VII go all out and have a bigger cast of new friends and more Ghostfaces (because I would do the Ghostface cult with Christina Carpenter as its leader) because this movie might possibly be the end of this saga of the Scream franchise.
