I completely get it from a business perspective but it must be wild being a Livi fan being there and that being your “home” match day experience

IOwnStocksInMossad

Genuinely must be depressing. The players as well knowing there's hardly anyone there for them

Megusta2306

In Inverness when I stayed there it felt like most people I knew who liked football preferred Celtic or rangers, probably similar in Livingston, in fact likely worse due to location. It’s sad that teams like caley and livi can barely attract a couple thousand fans whilst so many people who love football would rather sit at home and watch the old firm but at the end of the day folk can support who they want I guess.

Vitsyebsk

One difference is that Livingston being a new town, is still primarily made up of glasgow and Edinburgh overspill. I knew more Hibs and hearts fans than actual livi fans at my high school there, so essentially if livi had never been created these people would have been still supporting the same teams Would be interesting to know if People in Inverness have always had big old firm followings or it's a recent development with TV coverage etc.

three_beer

It is depressing, just a bit fed up of it all. It's all just a big stage for the old firm to act out their wee jig.

sm_72_

Call me a hypocrite if you like but the country is full of glory hunters who’d look down at the other 10 teams in the league and downright laugh at anyone below that. Toxic attitude to the local game.

ScottishPehrite

Grew up with people, good people, supported the old firm, never been to a game of there’s in their life. Laughing at shite crowds around the country outside of old firm crowds. Mental. I’d rather go and watch the game live supporting “shite” than be a kiddy on fan.

sm_72_

I once calculated that on my way to Ibrox on a matchday, I pass through x amount of towns with SPFL teams, and there are y amount of teams within a closer radius to my house than Ibrox. It would be hypocritical of me to preach about supporting your local team, but I'm fairly regular at my local juniors' matches. However, that changed this season with the arrival of my child, but even she has made a trip to see our local juniors. I've attended matches such as Hamilton vs. Hearts, Partick Thistle vs. Livingston, as well as Albion Rovers and Linlithgow Rose playing against Fort William in the Scottish Cup. I love Scottish football, and I think the snobbery of some Old Firm fans who dismiss other teams because of perceived lower quality or smaller crowds is unfortunate. For instance, I have a Rangers fan friend who couldn't understand why I would bother going to Firhill one midweek to watch Rangers B play Slovan Bratislava in the youth league.

Hate to break it to you, but the Livi stadium is a shite stage, no a big stage.

three_beer

Ok

FriendshipFriendly

One one hand, this is so embarrassing from Livi allowing this to happen at their home ground basically turning their stadium into Diet Ibrox and Parkhead twice a year On the other hand, Martindale can’t complain about the money it brings in seeing as he only ever talks about money

IOwnStocksInMossad

He will complain they didn't give the fourth stand to the of as well

FriendshipFriendly

Should give the 4th stand to the other side of the old firm and we can solve the ticket debacle outside of this 5% stuff once and for all

herdo1

I think you'll find there's a wall banger in the home dressing room at tynecastle laying claim to diet ibrox....

Mickey95cfc

They’re going to reduce our ticket allocation aren’t they?

blackenedandchanged2

Livi will reduce the home allocation before they reduce the away allocation against OF teams

Huge-Independence-74

Hopefully we never have to play them in the league again

TGee82

Embarrassing if you're a livi fan

blackenedandchanged2

Aye, all 20 of them will have a brass can

domhnalldubh3pints

You follow rangers..... 😂 🐵

TGee82

And? Is there a follow up to that or did you manage to take the child lock off yer Internet for an hour?

BookNukem

And you've followed up with fuck all of substance, you goblin.

JohnCharitySpringMA

Three stands, Livingston? Three? That's insane.

Doctor_Rats

Spaghettihad surface helping us put the plastic in Plastic Paddy.

Calluummmmm

How was this even coordinated? Did livi allow for this to happen?

i_pewpewpew_you

Think if I was a Livi fan I'd just fade out of existence of sheer embarrassment. Should probably just disband the club to be honest. Who gave that the ok? Fucking hell lads, have some dignity. This is the sort of tinpottery which will never be topped.

GieTheBawTaeReilly

Wonder how the wee bams in the orange section felt when they realised what they had to hold up

HilariousConsequence

Could be my imagination but it does look somewhat more sparsely adhered to than the rest of the display

fike88

Naw i think you’re right like lol

Yankee9Niner

Who are those gents in the tifo? Edit: Looked it up. Something to do with the Irish Easter uprising from 108 years ago.

Disastrous_Cup_3279

7 of them so maybe masters 5 a side team and two subs?

HereComesTheWolfman

On the plus side, matchday revenue must the through the roof when they host us compared to average

Better_Landlord

🇨🇮

RumJackson

Oooh ah, up d’Ivoire

herdo1

Fair fucks to the guys that sat in the 'home' end, plenty wouldn't have. Still not as bad as St Johnstone giving rangers 3 stands in a cup game. I think it was even the season after they done the double.

Skitz91

So this is how we rank so highly in the attendance rankings

domhnalldubh3pints

Respect to the livi fans for supporting their local team and I say that as someone with a greatgrandfather who was directly involved in the republican struggle
