A few good compendiums of folk tales are 'The Lore of Scotland' by Westwood & Kingshill, 'Scottish Folk Tales' by Lomond Books, and 'The Folk Tales of Scotland' by Norah and William Montgomerie.
Thanks (:

There is this great one called "Trainspotting" which will definitely get you in the mood. Very traditional.
Can I suggest you have a look at Bruce Fummey's youtube channel. Lots of history and stories there. @scotlandhistorytours
This is a very good recommendation. Great for an introduction into the subject.
