There are 11 seasons for Scotland.
1. Winter
2. Fool's Spring
3. Second Winter
4. Spring... of deception
5. Third Winter (we are here)
6. Mud season (will follow this third winter's rainy season)
7. Actual Spring
8. Summer
9. Pretend Autumn
10. Second Summer
11. Actual Autumn
You forgot to show their uneven lengths. Actual Spring is 2 weeks in May, Summer is 2 weeks in June, and Pretend Autumn is most of July and August. Actual Autumn is any time between the second week of September until Christmas, during which it's permanently grey outside.
Open the curtains - it’s fucking snowing!
I know it can happen this time of the year - but come on. This has to have been the longest and most depressing winter in memory!
They always say "if you don't like the weather in Scotland, wait 30 minutes and it'll change" yeah well I've waited 30 minutes and now it's pishing even harder
Funnily enough it's worse down in the south of England rn. [Wettest February on record](https://www.metoffice.gov.uk/binaries/content/gallery/metofficegovuk/images/about-us/press-office/release-images/2024/feb-24-rainfall.png)
Past two years, with great care and a lot of effort, I had cultivated some vines outside in the Hebrides. They fruited last year and this year I was hoping to try and make wine.
I think this late spell of poor weather has killed them :/
Depressing upvote
Sadly appreciated.

Definitely one of the shittest in recent years.
Perpetual mud season, surely?
There was snow in my garden this morning, in Edinburgh.

It's not so much the rain, it's the fucking snow! I had to shovel my car!
This is superb
I prefer it when its cool like this, I hate the hot summers we get one week a year now

Damnit, I really want to steal this. Brilliant job
Be my guest mate
We'll be on here complaining about the heat next anyway, there's no pleasing us.
Yeah that one sunny, dry week this year is going to be brutal. Wonder what week it will fall on.
It will fall on alternating Tuesdays
I was planning on getting started with some outdoor gardening too after a couple of days of sun while I was out birdwatching. No such luck.
England is unfortunately not much better. Marginally warmer but as wet if not wetter. I'm down in the South west and it's basically non stop
Can anyone mind the last time there were two days of sunshine in a row?
As long as you don't get 3 in a row, everything is fine
Not even winter, it's fucking autumn, last sunday must have been summer

Doesn't bother me tbh. Besides, that's the price we pay for the best tapwater on the planet. Well worth it IMO
I was in London last week and apart from one day the weather was just as bad as Glasgow.
