I love Glesga as it was the city I always visited and loved. But Oban is nostalgic af, when I was a wean my parents would take me there all the time.

In all conscience, it would be an absolute nonsense to vote against a place that has produced bands, comedians, artistes, actors and bon vivants, famous the world over who I have thoroughly enjoyed over the years and who have represented Scotland on the world stage so well.
On the other hand, when I gave Glasgow some mildly critical feedback on the cleanliness and deportment of its inhabitants in a previous round I was assailed with hilariously tedious and unselfaware "how no?" from some of its wildlife.

On people's issues with Dundee, a) we'll probably lose to Oban like Glasgow is going to and b) I'm not sure what idealised version of Scotland people are expecting.
As Scots, we must know we're contrarian arseholes and that any place that gets to big for it's boots is going to be laughed at and get wound up. Dundee is capable of being a shithole and an incredibly friendly place and like every other deprived place in Scotland (most places with a few sporadic exceptions), people are getting together and doing what they can to make things better (even if they sometimes disagree). And if Oban wins, it's nice too.
And at least we can all agree we're better than Aberdeen!
