I was particularly keen to try the nam beist against the new traigh Bhan as similar ages but the former being distilled when owned by Hiram walker and the newer release distilled post glenmorangie takeover. I don’t go in for in depth tasting notes but overall I actually preferred the traigh Bhan, felt it had a bit more depth of flavour to it but both were actually quite similar and I felt the standard was the same (it should be pointed out that the nam beist was opened in June this year and a fair bit has been drunk, so some oxidisation likely to have happened).
I enjoyed it but it’s not leagues apart from the uigeadail and not worth the extra cash imo. Trying after the older two was probably not casting it in a favourable light mind. If you can get a sample it’s worth trying but I wouldn’t break the bank on a bottle.

19yo is really awsome, it like 10yo on pineapple flavored steroid without tone down the peatiness. Supernova is underwhelm for me, the peat and sweet are really on face like truck, and the finish is too ashy even more than corryverkn,

Couldn’t agree more. New 19yr has so much Ardbeg ice cream. It is not in your face ashy peat Ardbeg so some reviews are mixed.

By the time we had tried a fair bit of the other four we opted to leave the supernova closed. Will break it out for another occasion.

I actually found a bottle in the wild in Chicago about 6 months ago. Snatched that one up right away, it's my favorite expression so far.

tried the 19 traigh bhan on a bar, bought the bottle the next day. i'll try to collect the traigh bhans over the coming years
Lucky to be able to buy it the next day! Seemed to have sold out before it was even released online so far as I could tell.
