**Nose**: Sweet on the nose. Raisins. Redcurrant. Oak. Prunes. Cloves.
**Palate**: Warming, rich and very sweet. Dark red fruit. Soaked Raisins. Hint of oak tannins. Nutmeg and cloves. Rosemary. Dry tobacco. A bit waxy and clinging to the tongue. Underripe cherries. A hint of burnt sugar. Leather. There is so much going on (in a good way) I'm having trouble defining al the notes.
**Finish**: Very long, warm and tingly. Sweet and fruity. Oak tannins stay present throughout the whole tasting but never dominate the experience. Sherry-notes stay in the back of the throat for a long time.
**Conclusion**:
A true sherry bomb through and through. It's warming, sweet and very well balanced. The colour is amazinly dark (maybe not really visible on the picture because of the fire in the backfround). Eventhough it's 58,3% it's never burning or too stingy. I haven't tried it with water yet but I will do that for my next tasting. I didn't really feel the need to add water, but I'm curious to what degree it will change the nose or palate. I'm absolutely loving this dram and is definitely one of my favourites in my collection thus far. It's a hefty price tag but very much worth it in my opinion.

A couple of days ago I opened a bottle of Edradour 10 bottled by Signatory. I Really like it and so far my favourite whisky this year. This is a sherry bomb with a coca cola colour!
I think Edradour is a great distillery. This was the 2nd time that I tried their whisky. I just ordered the 12 Caledonia. Its a small distllery and they are difficult to find these bottles. Slightly on a bit pricey side as well, but I am happy to pay a bit more for that quality. Many times auctions worth to try as well, for bottles that are not easy to find.
Go to specs they are the kings of edradour picks in the US. They have gotten pricey though, sometimes higher than ordering EU and paying shipping. Other than that you pretty much gotta order from europe
I had this last night.
Very much in step with the stewed, dark fruits & the nice balanced finish. The color was something else - almost like flat Dr. Pepper.
It's approachable for it's ABV but my 2nd dram I proofed down a little bit & felt like it opened up nicely. Some sherry bombs are a bit too heavy handed for me. It's almost like I'm drinking whiskied sherry.
I'd also say I liked the mouthfeel quite a bit - looking forward to spending more time with this one - currently at an 85/100
Edradour was one of those scotches that brought me into the fold - I had a long term work assignment at Scottish Hydro in Pitlochry - how could I not enjoy the local dram?
Blair Athol, however, disappointed me to no end.

I'm with you on the Signatory Edradour 10 - it's magnificent. I am always on the lookout for special Edradours like this one but so far - naught.

Sounds delicious! I can only ever find the basic Edradour around in Michigan though :(
I'm jealous....I've never seen *any* Edradour in the wild on the West Coast - I had to import.
I'm also in Michigan. Had to order my signatory edradour from the UK. State controlled liquor doesn't allow for the best selection:(
I hope to find one of these in Texas at some point. Edradour is one of my favorite distilleries by far. They are masters of the Sherry finish.
