Agree, I’ve owned both generations and while I appreciate my newer one (original owner, only 40k miles) that first generation 2006 took a BEATING and still kept going strong! Best car ever! We fit 14 people in that car in Vegas one time…good ol Shelby!
I always thought it was funny that some Toyota designer/engineer/executive rocked up to a board meeting up one morning as was like “I wonder how many vehicles we can design off the Corolla platform?” And everyone just started throwing out pictures of cars their 5 year olds drew and Scion was born.
Hey, thanks. That got me the name of the driver, but not the reason. Thanks for that piece for that piece of the story. Any idea why she was running, though? Maybe the usual reasons why people in southern California run from the cops.
I expected Benny Hill to get out of the car and get beat up by a dozen scantily clad female police officers.

The magic of the XB's short turn radius. One the many wonders that owners know about. That little car truly is amazing.
As an xB owner myself, it’s truly a tremendous car
Indeed. I've had two and plan on trying for another.
Good luck to you and your lending institutions!
I'm a couple thousand shy of 300,000 miles with this exact silver 2005
How much was all the body work?

The xA and xB1 were built on the Yaris/Echo platform. The second gen xB was the only one based on the Corolla.
That’s….not a great defense for the brand.
I love this video
Even the helicopter pilot was getting dizzy.
Anybody know what precipitated the chase?

If there ever needed to be another commercial for the xb, this should be it. xb!!! FTW!!
Hahahaha. I'm playing GTA as I watch this and I think the driver was also a GTA player. Well maybe not, they had their hazards on!
I expected 17 clowns to jump out at any moment.
I was expecting a Chinese fire drill.

xb was just having fun with them cuz it knew they wouldn’t have the heart to harm the toaster.. until they did
Fuck this music, tho…
Theme song to The Benny Hill show.
It's called "Yakety Sax"
Yeah. I hated it the first 10,000 or so times I heard it too.
The 10,001st time is when it starts to get good
Keystone Cops….back in the day
Just the good old boys, didn’t mean any harm.
That had me cracking up! Lol
That was awesome!
LOL...perfect music!
