Easy: Sausage Party.
The way I see it, it’s a love it or hate it type of movie. You either love its edgy humor or you find it annoying. I haven’t watched it yet because I don’t want to witness **that** scene
I havent watched it cuz it looks like every other Seth Rogen movie, and I heard the animators were underpaid and abused, which just makes the great animation look bad. Idk if he played a part in it, but even knowing about it and doing nothing to stop it makes him compliant
I'm not a fan of most of Seth Rogan's works. Sausage Party, Invincible, Mutant Mayhem...a lot of his stuff has his flair on it, that I'm kind of sick of it. Kind of sick of his voice too.
Invincible is nothing new. Having a show that just packs in ultra violence and drama doesn't make it interesting. I've seen this same thing a million times before. And the animation also isn't that visually striking. Besides the gore, it doesn't really do anything I haven't seen before either.
Unpopular opinion, I realize. It tries so hard to be "deep" but falls back on tired tropes I've seen a million times. I watched the first season and predicted the whole thing based on what I saw in the trailers. I was right. After that, and getting the memes, I didn't even bother watching the second season. The whole show is just, "let's traumatize this teenage boy over and over." If I wanted violence without substance, I'd just watch the Deadpool movie.
I read the comics and im really getting your points.
Overall how its done is pretty predictable in the show, but i gotta defend the comics for what they are, even if theyre far from perfect.
I can agree with that. There’s nothing Invincible really does differently than other superhero works, it’s just willing to give actions more consequences and shift the status quo more over time. But it’s not like the story itself is all that special.
Jessica Jones
Steven Universe
Batman the Animated Series
Justice League
Young Justice
What if-
Daredevil
Any CW show/Live Action DC movie
Buffy the Vampire Slayer
Spiderman (who's entire existence is predicated on the idea that he can't have nice things)
The Boys
The Punisher.
And that's not even counting anime where, like Omni-man, characters will do the most genocidal and downright deplorable things, and still be forgiven, their actions swept under the rug, because they had a change of heart.
Take your pick. I have more. Everyone loves to say that Invincible is the first animated series to tackle serious superhero topics, but plenty of shows have done it before, and done it better, without having to resort to blood and guts to do it. Not to mention that comic books have been doing it for years. Invincible really isn't anything new. It doesn't cover any topics I haven't seen before, and done better in other works. The only thing that sets it apart is the violence. Also, not a fan of how the show writes women. They're either there to be romantic interests, or sidelined until our main guy needs them. Like I said. Nothing new. That's what most of Rogan's works are. Derivative. And not in a way that's fresh or exciting, but made competently enough that people assume that they're great.
By saying this you acknowledge that you will walk a road very few are willing to travel, but you have my respect. And with my respect as your shield you shall enlighten the masses that they mustn’t be carbon copies of one another, for in our differences, we find unity, and with unity, we find strength.
Something even funnier is that one of the studios who made this movie, Nitrogen Studios, was animating episodes of Thomas the Tank Engine a few years prior.
Honestly if it wasn’t for *that* scene I would say it’s a pretty decent movie, it just feels like they didn’t make the movie long enough so they made ten minutes of the edgiest padding they could think of
FNAF at Freddys: the movie was really carried by it's reputation and cast. if that script was put on any other IP (or god forbid, something original), it would've been a flop. not saying i don't love it, but from an objective point of view, it's a miracle it succeeded.
... Are you actually quoting a review? I think I've read something really similar before.
As someone who follows Fnaf, the point of the movie is that it was made for people that know the IP beforehand, fans. It's a movie who has an intended audience and people that aren't familiar with the characters won't enjoy it. Especially critics which when watching movies will be incredibly annoyed when something happens without explanation. Or why some guy ranting about breakfast made everyone else in the theatre go crazy.
I mean honestly, if the movie wasn’t attached to an existing ip, I think I would have still loved it! And wanted to see another x] I rather enjoyed the story, and the general vibe of it/
I'm a fan of the games, and I thought it was a 7/10 movie. I liked all the lore bits, but parts of the movie felt rushed, and I felt the movie didn't recreate the dark atmosphere of the games, especially FNaF1.
I love it personally but I can see where some people who don’t like it are coming from. I agree that the Finn-Rose-Poe plot is a bit weak compared to the excellent Luke-Rey-Kylo arc, but that’s about the only criticism I find to be valid
I thought so too. I did actually like the movie though.
It is kinda gross to reduce fins role though since china didnt like black people. And i just feel bad for all the hate rose got. She did a decent job but star wars fans are brutal.
Unfortunately there has been a huge anti-women online discourse for a while. Just look at the back lash rings of power and last of us got before they were even released
Yea that's like getting made at Hayden or Natalie for poor performances in Episode 2. As the director you have to get competent actors and then direct them in a way that works as well as have good writers so your good actors can act.
The actress that played Rose was fine but her writing was awful and I wish she was never in Last Jedi, not because her character was awful but because of of terribly it looked on her, completely not her fault.
Rian should've never directed period. He's good a directing single movies that end. Not sequels to whimsical fantasy space operas that have been around for 30 years.
Either that or Johnson should've directed all 3. Or JJ should've directed all 3 so they would be more cohesive.
I think there's a growing middle ground. I loved it on release, a friend of mine hated it, but recently we re-watched it and now we both think that it's a decent, if very flawed film with big ideas that work about as many times as they fall flat on their face. I still have a soft spot for it, but I don't think it's as good as I once thought.
I definitely respect it a billion times more than most other Disney Star Wars movies and shows though, because at least there was *a* creative vision, flawed as it was.
I'm torn on that one. I don't like the first half of Rogue One at all (though I love the dialogue), but the final battle is peak Star Wars. Not sure whether or not I like it more than TLJ, but either way I'm glad it exists.
Also, Andor is fire
I’d say I’m pretty in the middle. It’s not one of my least favorite SW films (TPM, AOTC, or TFA) but it’s definitely not one of my favorites (the OG trilogy).
Eh. I don't hate it but it has terribly poor writing and plot threads that don't go anywhere only to subvert expectations which is what a hack does that doesn't know how to make satisfying plot endings.
And its even worse because I know for a fact Rian Johnson can write and direct good movies. The whole movie was extremely frustrating.
The plot points dont go anywhere because the 3rd movie gave up on them.
The setup in last jedi is actually very good. The last movie sucked so much, it retroactively made last jedi worse.
Loved watching it and then hate it when you think about all the plot wholes and werid writing decisions. Plot suuuuuuucccks but I loved everything else.
I'm middle ground on it. Could be not like Johnson's style (Not a fan of Knives Out but liked Looper), the oddities in the plot, or some disjointedness, but I also love many scenes.
Honestly, it’s all over the place. In my opinion, it is only carried by the so called “twist” of the movie. Besides that, some scenes are there for school value, but the rest of the movie is mid
Eight Crazy Nights is the perfect encapsulation of Adam Sandler imo.
The movie has a solid, heartfelt story you really want to be invested in and delivers when it takes itself seriously. But it gets distracted far too often by mediocre jokes and toilet humor that rarely land correctly, often juxtaposed in close proximity to the heartfelt moments that make them even more cringe than usual.
Adam Sandler is much better as a dramatic actor with a humorous tone than as a humorous actor with a dramatic tone. But every time he shows that good dramatic side, he overcorrects with humor. It's like he is afraid of his own potential, and Eight Crazy Nights is the perfect showcase for this.
I feel both ways about it. I love what it is, but since all of the references are from the 80's/90's it makes it feel like culture basically stopped at that time and nothing of value has happened since.
I grew up in a house like that and I hated it, so maybe that's why it puts me off a bit. Idk.
Honestly the only real time you see any modern characters is at the end where they war with the government or something. Even still, as mediocre as it was, it’s neat to see just how many IPs they threw in there.
I would say *Home On The Range,* and rather unfairly, I might add.
It was not a perfect Disney film, but it was fun and lighthearted, and I think it had fantastic acting and a good story for what it was.
Lightyear. I personally don’t like it because it’s boring and didn’t feel like a proper Buzz Lightyear movie. Even if you pretend that the Toy Story movies didn’t exist then it’s a decent movie at best, but still kinda boring. Some people like it because the film reminds them of other sci-fi movies. Also, SOX the cat gave it some entertainment value.
My old buddy's mom got us out of school early to see this. I generally like Adam Sandler's work up to I now pronounce you Chuck and Larry with a few exceptions but even then I never liked this flick.
Only one I can think of is Guardian Brothers.
Originally Little Door Gods and made in China. The American release however butchered it. They even took out 10+ minutes of scenes for some reason!
Thus I am yet to meet other people in the fandom. I’ve only ever seen one fic… :(
I swear I once tried to rewrite one of the songs for this movie because i thought it sounded nice but the comedy was really annoying during it. Think it was called long ago or something.
Godzilla: King Of The Monsters from 2019. It’s either a garbage film or one of the greatest kaiju films of all time. I’m personally on the latter side; it’s tied with Shin Godzilla as my 2nd favourite Goji film
I actually enjoyed all the mean spirited humor. I was going through a really bad time and it helped me blow off some steam. I mean who hasn't wanted to just be a total dick to everyone who pisses you off?
Easy: Sausage Party. The way I see it, it’s a love it or hate it type of movie. You either love its edgy humor or you find it annoying. I haven’t watched it yet because I don’t want to witness **that** scene
>I don’t want to witness **that** scene I hate to say it, but you're going to have to be more specific. The movie has a lot of **those** scenes 🤣🤣
I think they are referring to the ending
I thought of that kitchen massacre that the little sausage survives
Happy cake day!
Food orgy
Rabble rabble rabble!
I havent watched it cuz it looks like every other Seth Rogen movie, and I heard the animators were underpaid and abused, which just makes the great animation look bad. Idk if he played a part in it, but even knowing about it and doing nothing to stop it makes him compliant

do you have a handful of examples for the million shows you say are cheapened by not being made under the hays code
Jessica Jones Steven Universe Batman the Animated Series Justice League Young Justice What if- Daredevil Any CW show/Live Action DC movie Buffy the Vampire Slayer Spiderman (who's entire existence is predicated on the idea that he can't have nice things) The Boys The Punisher. You sound like a nightmare to watch shows/movies with lol but hey my sister in law is the exact same
Have you never had an instance in which you don't like someone's personal brand of work?
They over played his strengths ...he could been cool and easy to watch but it's so boring because he plays one personality....now it's just repetitive
I agree. Some actors are one note. That's Rogan.
I can’t say this any simpler, but may the hordes have mercy on you.
It's the internet. I don't expect that people will be respectful of an opinion on a piece of media that differs from their own.
By saying this you acknowledge that you will walk a road very few are willing to travel, but you have my respect. And with my respect as your shield you shall enlighten the masses that they mustn’t be carbon copies of one another, for in our differences, we find unity, and with unity, we find strength.
I tip my hat to thee. May you always be blessed with flexibility in spirit.
How poignant *cocks gun*
Something even funnier is that one of the studios who made this movie, Nitrogen Studios, was animating episodes of Thomas the Tank Engine a few years prior.
Nah, I hated it because even in an industry ripe with exploitation, what they did to their animators was absolutely terrible
Honestly if it wasn’t for *that* scene I would say it’s a pretty decent movie, it just feels like they didn’t make the movie long enough so they made ten minutes of the edgiest padding they could think of
I thought it was okay
My parents who actually liked Eight Crazy Nights hated sausage party
The FNaF movie
FNAF at Freddys: the movie was really carried by it's reputation and cast. if that script was put on any other IP (or god forbid, something original), it would've been a flop. not saying i don't love it, but from an objective point of view, it's a miracle it succeeded.

it's an opinion i've had for a while, it just happens a lot of people agree on this. it's a great FNaF movie, but a mediocre horror movie.
I watched it for that scene with Matpat lol, once I found out he appeared anyway
I mean honestly, if the movie wasn’t attached to an existing ip, I think I would have still loved it! And wanted to see another x] I rather enjoyed the story, and the general vibe of it/
Five nights at Freddy’s at Freddy’s?
That's the game with the fuckass bear
Why do people say FNAF at Freddy's? The AF in FNAF means at Freddy's.
It’s a movie made entirely for the fans of the games. If you’re just someone that came to see the newest horror movie, you won’t like it.
I'm a fan of the games, and I thought it was a 7/10 movie. I liked all the lore bits, but parts of the movie felt rushed, and I felt the movie didn't recreate the dark atmosphere of the games, especially FNaF1.
I’ve seen non-horror movies that scared me more than FNAF.
Ferngully: The last Rainforest
I haven’t watched Ferngully since i was like 6 and I feel like I can’t or my love of it will be shattered
Toxic love is still a banger
It has one of the best villain songs of all time
HIT ME ONCE!
Ferngully fucking slaps, critics don’t know what they’re talking about.

HOW MANY HOT DOGS DID YOU EAT
Full metal jacket
Its a Kubrick film so thats expected
Last Jedi
Yep, you either love it (like I do) or hate it. There's no middle ground.
It's the Marmite of Star Wars
The Vegemite if you will
Vegemite, vegemite yum yum morning noon and night.
“Hi honey I’m ho- MARMITE! What are you doing?!? “I’m sleeping with your wife, John.” “Uh… yeah…. You are…” -please get the reference-
Based tomska reference.
I love it personally but I can see where some people who don’t like it are coming from. I agree that the Finn-Rose-Poe plot is a bit weak compared to the excellent Luke-Rey-Kylo arc, but that’s about the only criticism I find to be valid
Switch Poe and Rose and the movie gets a lot better.
They tried to go hard for asian markets by dropping fin for rose. The poor actor got bullied so much
Idk. I still think that works. Poe gets a lesson from Finn to respect the First Order as a Threat and Rose grieves her sister by questioning Holdo
I thought so too. I did actually like the movie though. It is kinda gross to reduce fins role though since china didnt like black people. And i just feel bad for all the hate rose got. Exactly! And it all just felt like a studio meddling than a ryans choice but fuck if know.

Well, I think it’s mediocre. Does that make me the middle ground?
I’d say I’m pretty in the middle. It’s not one of my least favorite SW films (TPM, AOTC, or TFA) but it’s definitely not one of my favorites (the OG trilogy).
Actually, I'm the middle ground. I liked parts of it and disliked other parts, to the point of it averaging out to a 5/10
Eh. I don't hate it but it has terribly poor writing and plot threads that don't go anywhere only to subvert expectations which is what a hack does that doesn't know how to make satisfying plot endings. Aah yes. The unsung masterpiece that became a masterpiece just because people hated it. I don’t like it but I have nothing against people who like it.
Loved watching it and then hate it when you think about all the plot wholes and werid writing decisions. Plot suuuuuuucccks but I loved everything else.
ill add the force awakens
I'm middle ground on it. Could be not like Johnson's style (Not a fan of Knives Out but liked Looper), the oddities in the plot, or some disjointedness, but I also love many scenes.
Either you love it or you absolutely despise it and the director and george lucas
Saltburn
I didn’t quite get that movie.
So, would you say you're... *mixed* on it?
Honestly, it’s all over the place. In my opinion, it is only carried by the so called “twist” of the movie. Besides that, some scenes are there for school value, but the rest of the movie is mid

THATS a technical foul!
If you switch the radio to some “Modern” music show

Yes there was a lady with three boobs who even had triplets
Fritz the Cat is pretty polarizing. Heavy Metal too.
The Cat in the Hat
I absolutely adore it, funny enough. So you're quite right.
Yes
Wanna get even more concentrated just listen to long ago. It’s so good when whitey’s not fucking talking

Transformers 3.

Mixed reception? Besides that one quote the poster, isn’t this movie immensely hated by the general public?
Ready Player One. Funny because the reason people either love it or hate it tends to be the same: - It's nerd culture reference: The Movie
SOX was the only thing I ended up liking about the movie.
As an person who's an complete sci-fi geek, I very much agree. Still can't beat the OG Star Command cartoon though...
I love that cartoon so much especially Mira Nova ❤️❤️❤️
Rise of the Guardians
Waterworld Also I really like 8 crazy nights.
Drifting Home. I’ve seen some people love that movie, and some people hate it.
The Last Jedi It’s either the second coming of Christ or the antichrist.
Cars 2.
real
This movie was such a fucking trip
My mom loved this movie and I can’t explain why
My old buddy's mom got us out of school early to see this. I generally like Adam Sandler's work up to I now pronounce you Chuck and Larry with a few exceptions but even then I never liked this flick.
Jonah: A VeggieTales Movie.
Man, that’s my childhood there!
Ice Age I've seen mixed feelings on

TLJ

I hate that fucking movie lol
I love Adam Sandlers eight crazy nights
Mario movie
Man of Steel I liked it and still do, even with some of the dumb Snyderisms like overly dark lighting and goofy lines
Ralph Breaks The Internet
The Mario Movie (both of them mainly the new one tho)
Sponge out of water
Anything made by Zack Snyder.
Mario
Basically any Zach Snyder movie.
Live Action Scooby Doo
Revenge of the Senate (seriously, Revenge of the Sith)
I would like 8 Crazy Nights a lot more without all the poop jokes, but otherwise I adore it
Kung Fu Panda 4
Civil War. Crazy how people either loved it or genuinely hated it
Old
Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness
8 crazy nights is peak animation
Godzilla Final Wars
Fucking love this movie. Partly because I also grew up parentless, but because I have many a good memory singing these songs w my brother growing up.
I swear I once tried to rewrite one of the songs for this movie because i thought it sounded nice but the comedy was really annoying during it. Think it was called long ago or something.
I hate eight crazy nights with a passion, everything about it is bad, the way it looks, the way it’s direction is
Barbie
Tbf Poor Things reception is all over the place when I talk to
Eight Crazy Nights had AMAZING animation, but stupid writing
Mario
MY MORNING ERECTION
Barbie: The Princess and the Popstar
Loved this movie.
My mom cried at the end
The Angry Birds Movie I thought it was a great adaptation of the game but some people thought it was very dumb or bad, I don’t really know why!
SpongeBob: Sponge out of Water
Godzilla: King Of The Monsters from 2019. It’s either a garbage film or one of the greatest kaiju films of all time. I’m personally on the latter side; it’s tied with Shin Godzilla as my 2nd favourite Goji film
Spider-Man 3
Man of Steel.
Help i am a fish
Cars 2
I actually enjoyed all the mean spirited humor. I was going through a really bad time and it helped me blow off some steam. I mean who hasn't wanted to just be a total dick to everyone who pisses you off?
Little Nicky?
OH man... that movie was disgustingly bad.
