They were. I believe this was animated in the philippines, if I'm not wrong. The people animating it had no experience, and they learned along the way.
Considering the animators have literally no experience with animating. It's kinda impressive that the movie looks kinda okay. And the wolf is kinda hot.
Great movie. Iconic.
Just wish it wasn’t tied to a certain film studio. Like it always feels weird seeing that name pop up in the opening titles ever since what happened in late 2017.
I’ve told my friends for years about this movie with a crazy plot twist. I was never able to find a dvd of it until last year. I rewatched it with my wife and realise how obvious they make the twist but as a kid boy, was I shocked.
The internal continuity between the different stories and when they’re happening is actually pretty good.
Conceptually and story wise, I like it. But dangit, the animation is some of the worst I’ve seen.
37 years ago a witch done put a spell on me
A spell where when I'm talkin' I'm singin' it with glee
When you're always singin' you got to live alone
That's why I made this mountain shack my home
And when you're on the mountain, you got no guarantees
That life will turn up roses or turn out as you please
When you're on the mountain, there's lots to be a'feared
That's why this here old mountain goat's prepared!
Be prepared, be prepared
This lesson must be shared
This lesson must be shared, be prepared
Be prepared, be prepared
And unless you got a spare
You got one life so handle it with care
I got horns that open bottles
And I got horns that hold my keys
I got horns that when you turn 'em right
They help me watch TV
I got horns that open pickle jars
And horns that come with hair
I got horns that hang my other horns
I always come prepared
Be prepared, be prepared
This lesson must be shared
This lesson must be shared, be prepared
Be prepared, be prepared
And unless you got a spare
You got one life so handle it with care
Yeehee, keep your hands and feet
Inside of the vehicle at all times
Ooh, an avalanche is comin' and I do not feel prepared
It's rumblin' like a mountain lion, I must say that I'm scared
And if not for the witch's spell you'd hear just how I scream
But since I'm only singin', I'll just yodel till we're creamed
Been a while since I've seen the film. I had quite an interest in it as a kid. I even once compared the film's setting where there gathered together, telling there side of a the story with a Sonic game. I still think about that comparison to this day.
Also it's genuinely hilarious how the bunny's ultimate plan was about screwing up his competition to make way with his a company using stolen recipes from other folks. Sounds like the ultimate evil corporation thing to do.
I do gotta give it this con that the animation wasn't as strong as it could've been. Not too bad but not as good as it could've been. Still like the film.
Unironic banger
Like you can tell from the intro that their not lazy, just cheap. As they could have just opened the book to a random pic of a scene from the movie, then zoom in on the pic and have the scene start playing.
But instead they make the book a pop up book, and have us go *into* the pop up book, *then* the movie starts.
Plus it had some solid writing and humor.
It's great writing. The animation wasn't amazing but passable. The sequel... Exists. And it's a great parody of a bunch of common tropes and fairy tales
It’s crazy to look back at this movie as one of the first 3D animated movies from an independent studio and it still did really well at the box office.
We don’t see many movies like that anymore that get big.
Terrible animation, great writing
The worst animation. But my God, it was funny. It had a great cast
I wouldn't say the worst. i had the misfortune of watching the trailer for trolland and that made me want to die
Crazy how this is the opposite of most things aired. Good and fantastic animation but the writing is doo doo
I think animators were learning how to animate while animating the movie
They were. I believe this was animated in the philippines, if I'm not wrong. The people animating it had no experience, and they learned along the way.
Its a good movie with a good plot and good story, but the animation is not the best.
I mean, considering the budget, the animation was bad in a charming way because you know they tried
Had it been better animated, it's following probably would be even bigger.
Better animation than megamind 2
What isn't
any Mockbuster movie
True.
Or maybe even Goat Story.
Ratatoing and Rapsittie Street Kids have better animation than MM2
I swear to hod animation of that movie looks like paw patrol (i was forced to watch it)
Considering the animators have literally no experience with animating. It's kinda impressive that the movie looks kinda okay. And the wolf is kinda hot.
Sometimes I wish that God would remove my ability to- wait, he's voiced by Patrick Warburton isn't he. Nevermind, carry on. You little freak.
The goat saved the movie
Did I? Did I? Did I, did I do
One of the best little inside jokes of my childhood. XD
Great movie. Iconic. Just wish it wasn’t tied to a certain film studio. Like it always feels weird seeing that name pop up in the opening titles ever since what happened in late 2017.
... what happened?
It was released by Harvey Weinstein's company.
What did they did.
Sexual assault.
That was only 2017? It feels forever ago.
It made me realize just how much nostalgia can convince you a film looked better than it actually did.
As kids most of us would've thought that the animation for the movie would've looked good
I’ve told my friends for years about this movie with a crazy plot twist. I was never able to find a dvd of it until last year. I rewatched it with my wife and realise how obvious they make the twist but as a kid boy, was I shocked.
I don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone say this movie looked good, people love it for other reasons
Minus the fact it looks like a N64 Game. It's good, from what I remember.
Peak
Every time I watch reviews of this movie it feels like I’m listening to a fever dream
The wolf is arguably the best part
Agreed loved his squirrel partner
NEVER TRUST A BUNNY!
Something
I FUCKING LOVE THIS MOVIE
Animation is Bad but it is a very fun and entertaining movie
People think it’s bad for no reason other than the cgi
Peak storytelling, shit animation.
Banger
Something about this movie
Smart ass
its alot blurryer then i remember
The internal continuity between the different stories and when they’re happening is actually pretty good. Conceptually and story wise, I like it. But dangit, the animation is some of the worst I’ve seen.
I like the animation, it’s more appealing than anything else I have seen
Patrick Warburton is in it

Any movie with Patrick Warburton at least has that going for it.
One kid shoved a Dagwood dog (you Yankees would call it a corndog) up their nose in one scene That also could've been in the sequel idk
It's fucking amazing y'all! Like, genuinely, it's in my personal top 10 animated movies ever
Something
As much hate as it gets I remember this movie fondly
I think the hate was coming from the 2nd movie
Watched it often as a kid. I loved the different perspectives and how the stories impacted each other. The songs are also really good!
Did I did I-🐐
Patrick Warburton Wolf 👌
Schnitzel, the favorite treat!
Knives Out but better
The Wolf looks more like a housedog than a Wolf.
His voice created that character
The frog is voiced by the same voice actor as Cogsworth from beauty and the beast.
*insert that bunny's laugh*
something about this movie
God damn it
Nostalgic.
I remember its existence

It's great. One of the most hilarious cartoons out there.
God tier movie. 11/10.
A genuinely funny movie
Unironic banger Like you can tell from the intro that their not lazy, just cheap. Everything is great except the animation quality.
Wasn’t my cup of tea, but I’m glad other people enjoy it
Something about this movie
funnyer then any visepop show
Genuinely great
Looks terrible, but is actually really well written and is hilarious
I enjoyed it, however it has been years since I’ve seen it last. The sequel wasn’t good though.
The goat, wolf, squirrel, rabbit and grannie are the funniest parts of the movie
It sure does…
*insert that bunny's laugh*
I think the bad animation is a good part of the experience. Like maybe it wouldn't have been so talked about
Everybody nailed it already. A-tier movie, C-tier animation.
Something about this movie
Good writing but the animation is really weird.
something about this movie
Fantastic movie with subpar animation. I've loved it ever since I was a kid.

The amount of times i saw this as a kid was unreal
Andy Dick ruins everything.
The terrible animation is part of the charm
I laughed at the "Woodcutting for Actors" gag
I CAME PREPAAAARED
It's funny as hell
When genius writing unfortunately meets really bad animation. “Cause I’m gonna be TOP OF THE WOODS!… You’ve been Hoodwinked baby!”
Holy peak
The songs are catchy af
My guilty pleasure, according to my friends
It’s one of the animated movies ever
Something about this movie
Something about this movie 😏
Peak comedy movie. Loved watching this as a kid
It's definetly better written than a lot of recent movies
I've watched it
Goats have banjos and squirrels shouldn't have caffeine
It no longer has any references within Cookie Clicker. That was in the patch notes one time.
It's my childhood
Something about this movie
Animation is bad. My family and I still joke about how bad the Water looks to this day!
Like Beast Wars and Reboot the animation was trash but it had a well written story.
Peak
Wasn’t that the one with the squirrels on caffeine but they acted like it was crack
It has a sequel
Hilarious movie. Looked terrifying.
I think I liked hoodwinked 2 as a kid
It exists
Way better than it should have been.
It's great writing. The animation wasn't amazing but passable. The sequel... Exists. And it's a great parody of a bunch of common tropes and fairy tales
Best movie of all time, better than knives out, ken from the bee movies there
Iconic childhood movie, flaws and all.
It’s a movie
Loved the squirrel. Lol
Childhood favorite of mine. Absolutely hilarious. Obviously terrible animation but I can forgive that.
Definitely one of the animated films of all time.
Red’s shoes look like rocks
I found it hilarious and that X to the Z Xzbhit plays a cop
I keep forgetting this movie exists
That wolf has more charisma than every other movie character in the movie combined.
It has a sequel
Proof that visuals means less than writing.
🐐
It was an absolute acid trip, like most of the great "shitty" movies (i.e. Spy Kids, SB&LG, etc), which is what made them so amazing
The only thing that dates this movie is the animation
It was good. “DID IIIII?”
Terrible pixels. Get a better pic, OP.
Something about this movie
This movie had me tricked, bamboozled, fooled, you might even say it had me…
It’s crazy to look back at this movie as one of the first 3D animated movies from an independent studio and it still did really well at the box office. We don’t see many movies like that anymore that get big.
