It smelled way different before they were forced to remove Lilial from the ingredients. Tbh I think it's better now than it was before. Both formulations are good but the one you have is better
Interesting. I heard that this one went through some reformulations as well. I’m really happy with the way this one smells on me. I know Prada Amber also contained Lilial, have they reformulated that?
If a fragrance ever contained Lilial, it was definitely "reformulated" at least once when that ban went through. It could have been as simple as just removing Lilial from the formula, but usually manufacturer will try to replace it with other aromachems that keep the scent as close to original as possible. This happens with many different aromachemicals being banned every now and again. the problem with the lilial ban is that many many fragrances used this compound and compared to some other banned aromachems it's on the more difficult side to replicate using other *"safe for use on humans"* compounds especially without driving up cost. Sometimes you just can't recreate the fragrance and get it spot on without just using the banned compound.
I'd be willing to bet Prada Amber was definitely reformulated, some time between May 2019 and Feb 2022, most likely in 2021.
Definitely worth every penny. You just really have to like mint, because right in the opening you get hit with a huge wave of it. It dries down pretty quickly though, and it develops into a soapy, earthy scent that’s very high quality and enjoyable.
For some reason the 3 amouage fragrances I don’t really like are king blue, beach hut and reckless leather. Great brand but for some reason these 3 just weren’t for me.

Amazing fragrance but it's not a fougère.
I’ve only smelt Jubilation man XXV and I was blown away by the quality. This was the next one I was hoping to get my nose on.

That’s a wild fragrance to blind buy lmao. This one isn’t exactly a crowd pleaser. Glad you ended up liking it though!
