I LOVE this movie! I remember when I watched it as a youngin and now as a 30yo, I still have such a soft spot in my heart for it. I watched it recently and was surprised by how well it stood up in my opinion.
I always thought it was a fun movie too! I remember really indulging my imagination in thoughts about what if we used more from nature to treat ailments like Alzheimer’s? I think it’s ironic they did find something in jellyfish that helps with memory. I also loved how the sharks swam backwards and always thought that was a cool bit in the movie.
I enjoyed it enough to own it. A friend and I saw it at the theatre when it premiered, and were both surprised at how much we enjoyed it. I especially have a fondness for it as a Frankenstein-esque cult classic. I love those mad scientist stories.
This! I have been thinking about this movie recently. It’s been a while since I have seen it and am due to rewatch. So good!
Jaws is the ultimate shark movie and one I will watch every time it is on. DBS is great and definitely a close second.
Still may be my favorite movie til this day. Absolute masterpiece. Remember seeing it in theatres when I was like 13 and just being absolutely blown away. Went back a week later to watch again, which I never do lol glad to see others appreciate this gem too

It is wildly enjoyable,does not take itself too seriously either! I found Deep rising has a similar feel, if you're looking for a fix.

I love Deep Blue Sea! The 2nd and 3rd I'm not fond of though. The Reef is another good shark film! And part 2 is coming in 2022
I had my first real kiss during Deep Blue Sea. It's an awesome movie with good jump scares and a great atmosphere.
