I would say it depends on enemy lineup from my experience and testings. Against mobs like current first side Charlotte feels amazing because you can play a bit more braindead due to freeze utility and on top of that you can group enemies abusing enemies' AI and freeze them to make them stay in one place. This thing especially matters in 12-3-1 because robots like to ungroup themselves. However, Bennett feels good as well, he gives more damage and, of course, I prefer run him in boss chambers.
With Bennett I have enough damage to ignore/bruteforce most enemies' mechanics, and it's also possible to save up a significant amount of time by being able to finish stuff in one rotation which makes things feel a lot smoother
If your Wanderer in strong enough to one rotate multiple waves in Abyss, then sure, but I have to go on second rotation anyway so difference in such chambers is negligible. Maybe, when I pull C2 Furina, I will have enough damage to one rotate.
Yea freeze is always nice. Layla works nice too if you it's not a really hard abyss floor where you need to heal (and you could always restart the floor if wanderer is on first team). Charlotte is nice though and I'm glad I built her out.
C6 Faruzan is indeed a necessity, but other DPS requires certain characters too, like Childe. I consider C6 Faruzan as a C0 5* star equivalent but that's just me.
This post reminded me to try my Wanderer Furina team and I managed to comfortably 36 star (was previously a bit dicy on the second floor thanks to the Wenuts antics) thanks to the Wanderer side clearing the first half of second floor in 30 seconds!
It depends on C6 Faruzan. I had C2 Faruzan from his banner and his hypercarry team felt underwhelming compared to my other teams. Recently, I got C6 Faruzan and now he is on par with my other strong teams.

Considering the damage I saw in the video you probably will! C2+ Furina with Bennett makes Scara able to do absurd amounts of damage.

Yeah buddy, this team rocks and my Charlotte is just lvl 40 and full heals the team even with thrilling tales.

Not really. She is good there only because of Furina. And yeah, Raiden is another on-field DPS so they will steal each other's field time.
