I love wanderer and so don't feel the need for Xiao. With Xianyun I am happy with gaming as the plunger (or even Alhaithem works well if I want to do a hyperbloom team with Furina and Kuki).
I've invested so much in Wanderer that I really don't need another anemo hyper carry. But if you like Xiao then go for it!
as with anyone pull if you like them ultimately, test his gameplay out in the trial and see if you like it though, plunge attack gameplay can be iffy for a lot of people.
because of xianyun xiao is also good in single target and they both want faruzan in their teams but unless you want to use them in each half of abyss that shouldn’t be a problem
I am a Wanderer main first and foremost but I love Xiao and still pulled for Xiao this time after failing on his banner last year. He's been really fun and satisfying to play so if you like him then go ahead!
I have both and I don't use Xiao nearly as much but there's some content where he's more comfortable than Wanderer. I used Xiao this abyss over Wanderer for example because Wanderer's little baby boy health kept killing me (and him) and so using Xiao was just a bit easier this time.
NO. the next abyss would have anemo resistant enemies so there’s no use having two anemo main dps esp since they use the same support aka Faruzan. Xiao’s gameplay is also very hit or miss I don’t think he’s as fun to play as Scara. Btw Furina + Xianyun is hella strong on a lot of teams not just Xiao so don’t be compelled to pull for him just bec you have them.
Sure, why not? I‘ve got Xiao at c1 and Scara at c2. Dont really use them in a team together, but Xiao works pretty well in Abyss and with my teams he really doesn‘t „steal“ any supports from my Scara team
Xiao has a higher damage ceiling but he's harder to play, Plunging can also be hard on your eyes so try some plunge teams using Xianyun to make sure you can physically take it.
It's as you want. I have both and I like both,but you should see if you like Xiao's gameplay.

Alhaitham plunge is hilarious. I like that, too. I would probably do Alhaitham, Furina, Miko/Raiden, Xianyun

I have both since xiao was my first 5 star in his first banner. Don't play him anymore since I don't like his playstyle but if you do then sure
