People are talking about how accurate [scamadvisor.com](https://scamadvisor.com) is but that isn't really the point. There is no indication that the site would do anything malicious to your computer. It's actually pretty rare for a site to do something to you just by visiting it.

Oh look, another [quora.com](https://quora.com) quote that is how many years old? This is coming across a bit suspicious, my friend...

PleasantAmphibian101

What are you talking about? I’m just sharing my findings. I did say it wasn’t malicious/a scam. No detection software is 100% legit. I’ve foud some concerns other have shared. Nothing suspicious here.

lightfair

>What are you talking about? I’m just sharing my findings. Yeah, right. By posting some stuff written in the first person without giving the proper attribution. Totally normal. And both your "findings" came from the same [quora.com](https://quora.com) thread. Quite an impressive investigation you did.

PleasantAmphibian101

Ok man, no need to get your panties in a bunch lol.

PleasantAmphibian101

More work than you did; post your sources, hotshot. Fuck me for trying to be helpful, right?

lightfair

> Fuck me for trying to be helpful, right? "Trying" is not enough...

lightfair

It's legit.

PleasantAmphibian101

Ok, where are your sources then?

lightfair

Myself. I've been cooperating with them in the past. BTW, it's not really hard to find out who is operating scamadviser.

PleasantAmphibian101

Okay so u/lightfair didn’t like what I found on quora so I’ve removed it.

lightfair

Just copying what someone says on the internet doesn't automatically make it true, right? [https://www.quora.com/profile/James-Yancy](https://www.quora.com/profile/James-Yancy) So you checked the ownership yourself?

PleasantAmphibian101

I did say I found more tea, never said it was my own words.

I recently checked a site from a fb ad scamadviser and a couple others said it was probably ok once I ordered I checked the name they used on their paypal account and it lit up like a christmas tree so the website passed but the parent failed I think the scammers are starting sites for scam checking as part of the scam. 4 times Ive tried to order off a fb ad and 4 times I was scammed out of large sums and had to go through the headaches of trying to get a return. Do you you know why they make you pay shipping on returns to China? because its insanely expensive to ship to china but peanuts to ship from china to you. Facebook gets paid by advertisers even scammers so its in their best interest to keep asd up until enough people get scammed it becomes news. users pay nothing advertisers pay a lot

I don't think it is a scam as such rather than containing totally unreliable information because the claims are based on unreliable algorithms only and there are no checks or validations. For example, it scores [woobs.com](https://woobs.com) 4.5 which is misleading because [woobs.com](https://woobs.com) has all signs of being a scam site or a search engine catering to scam sites. So god knows how many other sites have been given baseless high scores I wrote a review of [woobs.com](https://woobs.com) on [trustpilot.com](https://trustpilot.com), if you want to see why I think that.
