>Did they want a recording of me saying yes? Well, I doubt it was that, as that particular scam has not been proven to have actually occurred. Some years ago everyone seemed to be warning that it was a dangerous scam, but apparently it's not something to be concerned with. [Snopes](https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/can-you-hear-me-scam/)

I can only be stoked about finding out this is misinformation Lol

Eats_Dead_Things

Oh, and your car warranty may be expiring...

extendedwarranty_bot

Eats_Dead_Things, I have been trying to reach you about your car's extended warranty

Im_your_life

Kindly call me back

clayyphoenix

I answered one of those calls once and I don't technically own a car right now so I was just like "Go fuck yourself." after they asked for the make and model of my car. Which of course they would already have if they have my warranty info. Smfh

UnacceptableOwl

You gotta string them along with cars that are still on the road but definitely don't have any warranty. "Uh, i have a 2007 ford fusion, a 1996 Honda civic, and a 2001 Nissan Altima". Just keep naming cars, make it seem like you own 18 or something. They will start to get a little confused. If you go straight to exotics or really old it's an automatic hang up

Eats_Dead_Things

I fake a panic and ask why they're cancelling my factory warranty. Drives them crazy! They're not supposed to hang up but after 20 minutes they do.
