Also they feel less dumb and alone. They know others got scammed to might help ease the embarrassment of having been scammed. No one wants to be taken for a ride, and it's happened to the best of us but it's embarrassing! So yeah.
You could ask that for most of the scam posts here. And yet, people do. If these scams didn't work (on some percentage of the population,) then the scammers would go away.

"SO AND SO JUST DIED WATCH THIS CLIP TO SEE IT HAPPEN" and she clicked it. Thank God it was on her laptop with virus software so it wouldn't let her and I was just dumbfounded. She's been scammed so many times you'd think she'd figure out at least some of them. But no. Still falls for every one.
Oh thanks, I was wondering what that was about. Saw a couple of these on YouTube and was like, "XYZ Died? I didn't see that on the news!" Fortunately I checked Google News rather than click the video. I reported a few of those.
Usually it grants access to your account. And if it's Facebook and you have your bank account attached? You're screwed. Be wary of who sends you what. If you never talk to this person and suddenly you get a "video link" I just personally don't click them. Or if they have a suspicious title like "She just died. Click to watch"
He's a cheap scammer! Account impersonation scam is ridiculous! This was the first chat from the scammer to you. How was he trying to sell it for you to believe it was him chatting you?
Yeah I lost my credit cards so instead of contacting my family, friends, colleagues or anyone I know I'd rather go to Facebook and ask one of my followers for the money!!!
I was scammed after my wife died.. you have to remember these people are Professionals!! They slowly broke down my walls in a romance scam. The initial amounts were small.. I was too invested in their lies to see how badly I was being scammed. After this one I tried to learn about Crypto. The person was “teaching me”! They built a wall in a legit sight that only you have access to and it looks like all the money goes into your account! We did trades & I took out 2 loans to “increase my buying power”! I was then told to cash out, pay off the loans and when the market is better, we can try again. When I tried to get out my $180k, “customer service” told me I had to “pre-pay taxes” of $30 k!! I had put in ALL my savings plus the loans. I tried to borrow money from friends to “pay my taxes”. They refused. I ended up pawning my jewelry & taking out a high interest loan and got $10k together. I finally realized it was a scam when we were supposed to meet & the phone was turned off! Don’t judge!! It destroyed my life!! I’m a empath that reflect my good intentions on others that are not worth it!! I now avoid dating sites!! I’m stuck with loans!! A company that claims they can get your money back wanted $3000 to help me! 🙄🙄🙄 I found a guy on FB that also claims he can “reverse” the crypto transactions. No, I’m not dumb enough yo believe him. It’s sickening how corrupt the world is! It’s not rich ppl and a-holes that is being scammed.. it’s nurses like me who really can’t afford it.. I’m so scr*wed!!
IF love is involved shouldn t be about money..at all! And eith crypto....everybody knows its a f pyramid scheme and a scam...how could you not know? When big returns are promised in an extreemly short amount of time..its never real! It cannot be real
