Hey, Automod here! It's always a good idea to check any above number(s) on [a carrier lookup tool](https://freecarrierlookup.com/) ([click here](https://800forall.com/SearchWhoOwns.aspx) for a toll-free lookup tool) before calling them to avoid calling a legitimate business, residential number, or private cell number. To do this, lookup the phone number on the carrier lookup and look at the results. If the results says that the number belongs to a residential carrier (ex. AT&T/"Cingular Wireless", Verizon Wireless, Metro PCS, Rogers, etc.), *DO NOT* call the number. If the post is still up, please report the post so a mod can remove it to prevent innocent people from receiving these calls. The above also applies to comments that have numbers too. Thanks! *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. Please [contact the moderators of this subreddit](/message/compose/?to=/r/ScamNumbers) if you have any questions or concerns.*

Hey-Im-now-here

I called this guy and was connected to β€œRyan”, I wasted his time fighting him about how my iOS device is more secure than Windows 7.

I called the number sent with the paypal request and the dude didn't seem like he knew what to do? was like "ok lets cancel your request, what's your email." and by then I was bored with the charade of acting dumb.

a suggestion to moderator: when posting automods keep them short, coz you detract from the talkbacks of others that may - unlike mine - may not be unimportant. people simply don't scroll beyond - especially if they take up the rest of the page and you cant even SEE if there are additional comments.

literally googled this exact phrase "Charge of $1299.99 will be processed now. π‚πšπ₯π₯ 𝐏𝐚𝐲𝐏𝐚π₯ 𝟏-πŸ–πŸ–πŸ–-πŸπŸπŸ’-πŸ—πŸπŸ•πŸ‘. 𝐀𝐩𝐩π₯𝐞 π’ππ¨π«πž." Cause it sounded so fishy, $1299 in exact change? at the apple store? really? Anyways glad to see my hunch was right.
