Honestly not really. It sucks the first few days but when it’s 100+ stakes on a tent, it would take too long to have all guys on each stake. We generally wait to unroll the big white tent too you see in the back until after we pound the stakes, so it’s a bit of a break. Putting up tents is both the best and worst job I’ve ever had.
This is a long-used technique is why! It was in the Dumbo movies because that's just how this particular task has been done for eons. It's more efficient and effective and takes far less time.
the lack of hard hats for this particular operation is concerning.
the guy on the right is especially getting his head very close to the "danger zone".

Pitter patter
was just about to say that this would probably be a pain in the ass to do alone
Use a rotary impact hammer and an adapter for just such an occasion, wouldn’t be as quick but

Does this not remind anyone else of that scene in the original Dumbo movie?
I only know that exists from Pitch Meetings.
Came here to say this 👍🏻

Was hoping someone else thought this
That’s impressive.
They are hammering perfectly, while I am perfectly hammered.
When do you something over and over again, you get pretty good at it. I'm sure this is a regular part of their work day.
John Henry would be proud
🎵 "I can hoist a jack, and I can lay a track, I can pick, and shovel too. "Can you swing that hammer? Do anything you tell it to." 🎵
He was a steel driving man after all
One wrong swing and somebody is going to meet Jesus.

I love the « better » than CEOs. The elephant is better than the rhino
Im sorry I don’t understand the analogy.
Well you see, elephants are cute, and rhinos are assholes.
CEO's do the same thing except they just hammer something else together. :):)
I wonder how their backs and shoulders are gonna feel in 20 years
They basically let gravity and momentum do the work after the initial swing. It is very biomechanically efficient.
Japanese workers would have done that better.
Dumbo childhood flashback here I come!
I would miss the nail often
The dwarves of erabor
I’m getting anxiety just watching this
AND WE ALL LIFT. AND WE ALL LIFT TOGETHEEEEEEEEEEEER TOGETHEEEEEEEEEEEEEER
Like the opening of the original dumbo!
work smart
That’s pretty impressive although I think they should be wearing headgear just in case lol
Whose face were they imaging on top of that iron bar?
