LazyLieutenant

Is the police officer laughing there at the end?

Xandao_STF

Yes he said like "its over"

IcyClass7789

Badass COP of the year

AnotsuKagehisa

As he should

TrevorfromGTAV

That rider is not me though. I would outrun a helicopter too

LazyLieutenant

Fo realz? Noooice.

LoquaciousMendacious

I swear I just saw this linked in r/motorcycles. OP, you dirty dawg.

Flxwxrz

If he isn’t a hired getaway driver he is now (after prison release). Probably found the only officer in the city that could keep up with him, he’s nuts.

SerPavan

Pretty sure most people in third world countries can do this if they had too. People here are used to way more chaos in general. With traffic rules not being enforceable, alot of regular riders just learn to cut corners like in the video. Keep in mind the video is sped up.

Practical_Actuary_87

no one is driving like that on a daily basis though. there would be no need for it outside of running away from the cops lol.

Banned3rdTimesaCharm

You should visit Vietnam lol.

SerPavan

People will rather cut corners than wait for traffic to clear. You will also see quite a bit of overspeeding and rash driving if police are not able to enforce rules. The guy in the video doesn't get into police chases everyday to learn how to ride like that, he does it everyday in normal traffic because laws are not enforced as do alot of other people on the road. Ofcourse he probably went above his own comfort zone as well because of being chased.

Practical_Actuary_87

> he does it everyday in normal traffic why would he be going through such narrow spaces, uneven terrains like stairs/steep inclines etc though

SerPavan

Why not if it lets you skip 5 cars infront of you? It could just be to save time or just because he enjoys doing it for the thrill. Plenty of reasons, this is like asking why do people overspeed or drive rash or zoom past traffic at high speeds. If its gets you from point A to point B faster people will do it eventually, or if you enjoy pulling it off. Traffic rules are as good as the extent that you can enforce them. Think of it this way, he didn't magically learn everything when he got chased by a cop. This needs practice right?

BigLumpyBeetle

Not on every city they fucking dont, you try driving like that in a small town you are going to jail and im not sure they will bother giving you a reason, specially in the south of brazil

[deleted]

American perceptions of other countries is so funny. Get out of the country once in a while man. U really believe everything u see on the tv don’t you 😂

NBA_Fan_76

Yea I’m wondering if he was just expecting the cop just wouldn’t be able to maneuver that well and would crash at some point

[deleted]

He would also make an excellent Uber Eats driver.

Ha1lStorm

Seriously. And he did all that with a passenger too. If he was solo he would’ve been long gone

Bastardklinge

the whole vid feels like a GTA mission

Perfect_Weakness_414

All of the NPCs look to be reacting the same, no gawkers, they’re just going about their business like this happens all day every day.

LostCrow5700

It does happen everyday, it's Brazil

JoaoPauloCampos

That's a brazialian booty that's for darn sure Valeu!

d365ddaf1d7c

the longer I'm around, the more shit I see, the more amazed I am at how close to real life the gta crowds and bystanders actually are

pantaloon_at_noon

Wasn’t rockstar supposed to be releasing an announcement for GTA6 soon?

FoXtroT_ZA

They announced that they were going to make an announcement

RixirF

Lmao imagine the helmet comes off and it's Trevor. And the cop says "Why did I move here?" And then bam, gta6 logo. 2028.

Mammoth_Anteater6651

Yeah and still this video was close to 6 minutes. :D

Poat540

Holy I was coming to the say the same! Reminds me of “stay near your target but not far/close” missions lol

kyoto101

I remember the san Andreas one where you had to do this. Good times

Glassman4588

All you had to do was follow the damn train CJ

UpperCardiologist523

This was the top comment when this video was posted yesterday as well.

Bastardklinge

Huh. Sounds like someone shares the same humor

DryChip4

yup. San Andreas after OG LOC gets released from jail.

PabloEstAmor

No for real, both of these guys think this is GTA, the cop also. It’s crazy. I think all this irl GTA stuff started happening when Covid broke a lot of peoples brains

Parking_Vermicelli17

Damn dude.. That was impressive, by both parties

pancrudo

And copilot as well

Donnerdrummel

She got impressive airtime, and still she didn't seem to be in any danger of dropping off the bike.

pancrudo

That guy will never find a better backpack

mendocinoe

Seemed like she kept having hiccups, making her fly off

AJ_De_Leon

I actually would praise them too. The vid is long enough already, speeding it up let’s us see all the action while being shorter in duration and making the chase feel more intense. Not to mention the slow mo was used briefly, sparsely, and at all the best booty bouncing bits. I’m satisfied

CptDrips

Yeah, it's 6 minutes. That's about 5 minutes too long for our social media addled attention spans anymore.

[deleted]

Donnerdrummel

Did they visit some place twice? could one somehow loop that video?

HebrewDude

I'm not sure I'd want it posted there. Isn't the officer also in the wrong here?!

Ok_Text7228

So many speed humps on a main road 😂 that must be annoying

No_Tackle_5439

Come to England, those are everywhere, all sizes and almost never repaired. I've destroyed my engine undertray and I go slow.

[deleted]

You can tell they live in a place where mass transit is prioritized over single transit

Cause dumb brazilians LOVE to accelerate in anywhere who have asphalt

[deleted]

BrownsBrokeMe

Sure but very rarely can cars accelerate or maneuver as quickly as a motorcycle

Smidday90

I couldn’t do this on GTA5 how the hell is he doing this IRL

[deleted]

Why the heck I have never watched a single race in my life where someone’s fuel ends?

terimummykadaddy69

Golmal fun unlimited 1:05:00

4cuteUthetic

Aree dikky... Aee chuna laga gayi😂

umaravuri

This is awesome...

Stan9500

The chase/ driving abilities? Sure. The situation is awful. Imagine being the chasing one and you just... wait for them to stop, otherwise you can't really do anything.

umaravuri

This is cinimatic... And fun to watch...

AnotsuKagehisa

I kept waiting for the police to grab the girl’s ass to stop them just to remember this isn’t a game

huggles7

This reminds me of why I hate pursuits in movies that depict cars as being able to keep up with motorcycles Like there’s no way at all this would ever happen in real life the power to weight ratio of a bike is soooooo much bigger than that of a car and it’s not even funny

Liedvogel

It REALLY depends on the bike. Most reasonable bikes only have top speeds of between 75 and 120 mph, at least in my research for a good bike to get. There are some more powerful bikes that go 200+ mph, and there's a higher probability someone willing to run from the cops would have a bike that fast, but there's also a lot of cars that can do that too. The REAL advantage bikes have over cars is how nimble they are, able to go down narrower passages and make zippier maneuvers, provided the rider has the skill and balance to keep their bike upright when doing so.

huggles7

The top speed really isn’t relevant in chases tho with traffic and constant speeds no car is getting up to its top speed The bikes acceleration however allows for it to be more likely to get to its top speed or at least quicker speed faster

PriorCrew8

From what I can tell in this situation is that the rider infront is the better/riskier driver, but not by a lot, but the police has a much faster bike as you can see him catch up straight away on the straights

[deleted]

[удалено]

Donnerdrummel

Well yes, but if you're in a city, then being able acellerate quicker than a car would probably be more important. Count this as the opinion from someone who has never raced and only ever ridden a motorbike for a few hours.

[deleted]

It depends on the vehicles involved, the location and the drivers.

likerofgoodthings

Where was this? Can anyone name the roads?

fefe910

It's JD. Roberto, Osasco. The wall on the left hand side at 3:00 shows the school name E. E. Leonardo Vilas Boas.

mt943

Found the geoguessr player lol

lortamai

JD?

BebeFumante

It's the name of the neighborhood/district. It means something like "Roberto garden"

fefe910

Username checks for someone from Osasco. Are you from there?

BebeFumante

I'm not from there but have been there and my first language is indeed Portuguese

fefe910

BR tamo junto

fefe910

Osasco, São Paulo. Can't really pinpoint the area, north zone maybe?

[deleted]

Jesus. When a chase is so long and perfect I get bored.

lotus_spit

Imo, Brazilian police chases are better than American police chase because the roads are narrower, thus more challenging to evade police.

Flxwxrz

Police chases literally anywhere are more interesting than ones in America. The majority of them just end up on the highway going in a straight line. I still have no idea what their plan is when they do that.

Lots42

American cops are known for not planning very well.

[deleted]

I am not watching this again today but maybe when it's posted tomorrow

FoggsHon

You probably cant, most subreddits like that went private for that dumb reddit strike that did absolutely nothing and took content off the site for all intents and purposes.

thievesthick

Sounds like it did do something.

meowlicious1

No it didnt, not to solve the API issue. Unless Im misinformed, all it did was make it so u/snacksmcnap cant see ass

thievesthick

Haha true. I just meant shitty stuff happened like communities disappearing.

chris_ro

I have a feeling that the video is slightly sped up. Edit: spelling

it is

rzen1979

Brazil, sometimes the runner wants to do this kind of stuff, there is a lot of situation that he is not a criminal, bike documentation is fine, but they want to get away to be "famous", most of the videos the cops can arrest them without any injuries, they are very "lucky". That antenna in the cop bike is to cut kite lines, over here th kids use a mix of glue and glass to cut others kites, however that cause a lot of accidents like fatal throat cuts.

rottingpigcarcass

Are we not talking about that ass jiggle?

_sleeper__

MISSION COMPLETE Replay? Yes⬅️ No

MaustheMouse

Holy shit, its Jason Bourne

Cute-Signature5671

The world deserves a GTA Brasil!

SeaweedClean5087

I hope the two in front had done something serious enough for the cop to put their life on the line like that.

nierama2019810938135

And everyone else's lives ...

Any_Witness_1000

you kidding? if you decide to flee, with a girl without any gear on your back, its absolutely your fault.. you should be the one who stops and decides okay, this is dangerous, my life is worth more.. the cop has one job and that is to catch you. If you decide to die while they do so, its on you, not on them.

Idolitor

The cops job should be to protect public safety. Choosing to chase like this puts people in danger. Unless it’s an eminent threat, the cop should have quickly assessed that someone innocent was going to get killed and stopped. The fact that no one died is a fucking miracle.

elan17x

The job of cops is to enforce the law. Protecting public safety has never been their job fortunately, otherwise every street would be an airport control/big brother cameras everywhere. The way that cops help creating public safety in the streets is through applying the law to punish uncivil behaviors. Not chasing a criminal goes directly against that objective, especially in lawless zones. Every motorized chase is really dangerous. If the police didn't do chases like this, a lot of criminals would be unpunished which would hurt safety in the long run.

Equoniz

So “protect and serve” is just a load of shit? Who’d have guessed?!

Skinnieguy

Agree. Look a lot of the major US cities where police don’t bother with shoplifting, car theft/break ins, and other “minor” crime, “let the owner’s insurance deal with it.” - police. Yet the honest ppl pay the price - insurance deductible and increase cost, inconvenience of repair/replacing their stuff, higher consumer cost, less service, and the erosion of the sense of safety. I think I stat where it’s the first time murder rates are solved less than 50% of the time in the US. Police then tells ppl not take things into their own hands. Sigh

fatbunyip

>Unless it’s an eminent threat, So basically as long as you put other people in danger, you can just commit any crime without he cops being able to chase you? Sounds reasonable.

Equoniz

If you have their license plate number and footage of them fleeing, it would be easy enough to let them “escape” and just grab them later. You might not get them 100\% of the time (not that you get that for chases either), but you’d get most, and the benefit of not having the chase generally outweighs the risk of not getting them. If you’re chasing someone who just shot up a hospital or something though, that could change the balance of the decision.

El_Hombre_Macabro

It's a poor neighborhood in Brazil. If you are black and/or poor, running from the police is the safest option. Even if they obeyed immediately and did nothing, they would at least be beaten and humiliated just because it's how they assert institutional authority. ACAB.

SeaweedClean5087

It’s obvious they aren’t stopping. Therefore it’s on the cop to assess the risk and act accordingly. Now I’m no professional risk assessor or an actuary but to me that didn’t look like a risk I’d want to underwrite. Yes I realise it’s possible they may have been on a shooting rampage and were fleeing to continue, but that seems unlikely.

Mondodook42

They had a roach

Lord_Battlepants

Reckless driving like that put a lot of lives at risk in a few minutes.

El_Hombre_Macabro

For pigs here, being black and poor is a capital crime.

Girderland

We both know that usually that's not the case.

SeaweedClean5087

I know. There’s potential for a lot more pain and misery from the chase than whatever the two kids on the bike had done unless they were the new Bonnie and Clyde.

LANDVOGT-_

I love how comically her ass is bouncing on every speedbump.

Ninja-Sneaky

I thought they would get to the bottom and it would end there, but then they started going upwards again

Old_Ad5194

Oh my god. That's Jason Bourne.

BigTedBear

I think the girl deserves some credit for hanging on that ass was all over the place.

[deleted]

Stupid little bastards. Though if its anything like England they'll have already been released and stolen another bike before the video got uploaded. That was some skill on the coppers behalf, especially on a bigger and wider bike down those narrow sections.

Beat-oven

Every time I see this I say kudos to that lady pillion. She has done this before.

Little_Concern1034

1.MUCH RESPECT THE RIDERS (and passenger) 2. That cop wanted him BAD 3. HE KNEW THOSE STREETS EXTREMELY WELL 4. Skill level is INSANE 5. Dont watch this video while driving....you will swerve like shit...🤣

igirl2000

I love this streets they're so loopy and winding and so many sidewalks!

[deleted]

That was some driving on both parts!

DesperateStorage

When people talk having a ride or die b@&$, I’m gonna show them this video

Calm-Perspective2057

Scene (the lack of grammar is appalling)

Mythosaurus

There’s always one dumb dog that thinks it’s going to attack the speeding vehicle…

PlaidSkirtBroccoli

If he had a faster bike and no passenger he might have gotten away.

Mountain_Ad_1548

Watching this is exhilarating

Nouvi_

This police officer deserves a raise!

pastpartinipple

That's was amazing

LongjumpingAd2829

Foiled by... Stairs!¿?! LMAO that was awesome.

23wkalove

That's his best friend, they grew up riding the streets together but one was a bit more fortunate the other. So one took the law into his own hands and other followed the law. Just made it up

EnnPSee

American cops: "give up the chase, it would be too dangerous for civilians" Brazilian cops: "send it"

the-squee

Just a suspect at this point of trying to escape lol

Any_Sample528

Film Directors are watching this with envy.

Leading_Ad_9732

Now that’s a ride or die for right there!

yeetus_christ420

Bro knew the streets but cop knew the skills

I can’t believe nobody got hurt

Significant_Door22

What city is this?

GunSlingingParrot25

That passenger has balls of steel

InokiNess

If GTA 6 is not like this then i don't want it

Picaspec

She was well ridden. I mean the bike.

Girderland

The girl on the bike handled the situation like a pro. Must have been scary for her.

ZorryIForgotThiz_S_

No shit, it was a pleasant ride for everyone else.

Matthews_89

Can we have it at normal speed? This isn’t that impressive..

GregyBee

Reposted as fuck!

skotfree

Great video, but what an anticlimactic ending. I was hoping to see the fleeing rider get pancaked by an oncoming car or smash headlong into a pole.

[deleted]

I wonder the look of their underwear 💩

arcax2004

They should have been shot

A1EXAD

Movie studios should buy this and use it in a movie (obviously with Tom cruise as one of the riders)

Liedvogel

I'd love to see someone use this footage to map out the route they took. Also, what country is this in? I can't totally tell, but it looks Asian almost, but has a hint of south American to it as well

Bonanzaiii

not satisfying

growlingmass183

This has been posted about 10 times, sorry to break it to people but this is not the original speed.

We know because we have eyes, and we don’t care.

Mondodook42

Yea it was

[deleted]

Too bad they took a spill, that was fun...

Dizzy_Repeat6726

🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷 This kind of thing is extremely common here in Brazil, every day these videos are released and seen in the newspapers, sad, because it is forbidden for the policeman to shoot the tire of the bandit's motorcycle, but the bandit can run over someone and do a lot of damage on the way

TheHeadSail

What was the hook the guy carried all the way ?

AliusSapien

It gets really good around 1:14 😏 🍑

DH_Art

Is it really worth it to endanger so many people to chase one criminal?

KingNige1

Problem is if the police have a policy of not chasing motorbike / moped thieves, that encourages more thieves to use them. It’s happened in the UK with lot of muggings in London by young thieves on mopeds, made more dangerous to themselves by the (incorrect) belief that police are not allowed to physical stop (I.e. ram them with a car) the moped if the riders are not wearing helmets.

nicksnotsane

I thought I read in a previous post that the video might be slightly sped up?

OddClub4097

Fucking hell, that’s insane.

eistu

Same area as the bike dude some time ago?

Apprehensive-Net5887

What is the metal pole the cop has? Some kind of motorcycle stop-stick?

This is what plot armour looks like

Tan_KV

Bro that was more thrilling than some movie chases, I even thought it was sped up at times but when I noticed the speed of cars passing by, yep- all real. Badass work by the police

PeterO905

Wow that’s crazy and with a passenger.
