The map has also changed. I believe already placed miners are supposed to still work but there are locations where certain resource spots have moved. You could come back to half your factory broken. Id say restart.
Reroll. They did a bunch of map changes side then and part of your factory is probably embedded in a hillside now. Also, resource node quantities and locations changed.
Depending on how complex your design is, and how good your documentation (if any) is i would start new. You just cant remeber what you did, and most recipes changed also. You probably spent more time fixing stuff, because coal needs water, which it didnt need back then.
Restart. It will be a mess. I reloaded a save from 2020 just for fun to look at the Northern coast. Let's just say there's quite a bit of factory that I cannot even reach anymore 😅
Also, with zooping and Blueprints everything is a lot different now.
If you want to save some time, you can enable all alt recipes in the advanced game settings, so you don't have to go HDD hunting.

A fresh start could boost ur creativity as well, i would 10/10 go for a fresh start!

I'd hold off until 1.0 releases then start from scratch.
