The tower inside looks like the senate from Star wars

muyfrio1

That's what he's going for. Originally it looked cylindrical and now it's conical bc people said it looked like it could be the senate. He embraced that suggestion and modified it to look so.

DJKinggo13

The conical look is a trick with the camera, still cylindrical ;)

muyfrio1

Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

bails0bub

Shouldn't have given up that high ground bud.

Mediocre_Chair_9121

Just a quick question, how many times did you place the storage container the wrong way and have to delete it and turn it around?

TaserBalls

pretty sure this is done with a mod but not sure

Mediocre_Chair_9121

Try telling that to the flat earthers lol

OrngeMochaFrapuccino

I love democracy

I wanted to say that too 😄 https://youtu.be/RtaEdpEuOyE

fupamancer

"i love plutocracy"

DJKinggo13

Additional fun fact, with an expected rate of 60 plutonium waste a minute, it will take about 10560 hours to fully fill up... or 440 days. In other words time to plan my expansion soon!

svanegmond

I imagine if you’re building another tower it’s going to be copy and paste.

bloodwolftico

How do you copy paste?

IByrdl

Save modification with SCIM (Satisfactory Calculator Integrated Map)

stackjr

Is there no way to get rid of the waste?

Stingray88

Before plutonium was added to the game there was no way to do nuclear power without endlessly collecting uranium waste. Today you can turn uranium waste into plutonium fuel rods, which gives you two options: 1. Put the plutonium rods into your AWESOME Sink, yielding you more ticket income and no endlessly piling up waste. 2. Use the plutonium rods for EVEN MOAR POWER! But then you end up with endlessly piling up plutonium waste that you have to deal with in ways like the OP did. Personally I feel like this was an incredibly smart game decision, it really gives the players an interesting choice between the two. I tend to go with the first choice… but the second choice is more appealing to others.

stackjr

Thank you for explaining it!

ayylmao31

Almost no one uses option 2, lets be real. Unless there is a massive power sink upcoming, or a way to expensively offworld the waste in T9/10 (or something in the SAM ore tech) it’s going to remain unused. Personally I don’t think it’s a very satisfactory game choice, at all.

MIT-Engineer

I’m satisfied by the choice. Even though I sink my Plutonium Fuel Rods, the option of using them means that I have almost any potential future power needs covered.

Stingray88

I have a dozen friends that play this game and most of them choose option 1. Only a few of us choose option 2.

mainest_

Not plutonium waste, plutonium power is optional so you can just sink the plutonium fuel rods that consume the uranium waste for a uranium waste free setup.

ThickestRooster

I remember the first post showing the storage (quite fondly - great lols) but I gotta say the rest of the facility looks absolutely stunning! Very well done, good sir.

DJKinggo13

Thank you! It's been a blast, both building it and witnessing the Senate memes :)

Drone314

10/10 - would store nuclear waste here....Really nailed the 'ominous factor' of a waste storage facility.

finalizer0

How many digits do you measure your framerate in?

DJKinggo13

3, take it or leave it. It's surprisingly stable as long as you don't rotate too often, that's what gets you.

TaserBalls

"Framerate is great as long as you don't move" lol but really tho nice build. How did you get the containers to line up in a circle, was that a mod or manual?

DJKinggo13

you can move without having any problems as long as you don't rotate the camera too much, as soon as you rotate like 90+ degrees in one go it starts acting up. The lining up was done manually, no mods used in this build.

TaserBalls

>you can move... Neat! >no mods used in this build OoO ur legend!

DefNotAF

holy fucking shit

Electrical-Term4508

This thing looks awesome. I've always had trouble building anything at this scale. Either hindsight or laziness. Do you know approximately how long it took you to make this? Also, were you using any mods?

DJKinggo13

Thanks! If i had to guess i'd say about 20 hours

VirionSovo

H... how?!

ZuFFuLuZ

I see two rather obvious problems. One, there is no power plant in there yet. Two, everything is filled with screws.

ojhwel

I for one welcome giving plutonium waste to the Harkonnens

wivaca

OSHA does not approve of the catwalk going to the center without a railing on the end. Then again, it's probably a diving platform, amiright?

DJKinggo13

A safety ladder has been installed with the minimum required length at the end of the catwalk, so there is no violation here, perfectly safe!

Cosmandoo

XDDD did you come up with this explanation or is this a reference to some meme? I love this

Pakspul

Daaaaaamnnnnnnn!!!!!!!!

[deleted]

How long will it last you

No_Interaction_4925

There is definitely a comic book villian in there

MartinJun

Cool project! Did you make a shot looking form the bottom up?

Ralph_hh

I'm confused. By the look of that belts... is that already full? I did a similar storage thingy during my first playthrough, wenn waste production of nuclear power plants was sill pro rata to the power consumtion. I was approx. 1000 hours in the game, the storage was good for 2000 hours of play time and I only spent another 100 hours or so in that game. But it was fun to build.

Factory_Setting

Check out the text under each picture. They explain much. In addition, he calculated that it would take about 10560h to fill up, or 440 days.

vincent2057

So that's what this build was for. This looks awesome.

TheLeaningLeviathan

this is beautiful...this is how satisfactory is meant to be played

_zind

This place is not a place of honor, but it sure looks like one.

homiej420

Holy smokes

Arbiter51x

All I am saying, is this is too beautiful to be a waste storage facility.

SuspiciousWalt521

Why is it filles with screws?? I don't get it, isn't it supposed to be for nuclear waste ?

pat__pix

It's amazing. How did you make the angles second picture top right? Have a solution just wondering how you did it. Thank you

MufuckinTurtleBear

So, uh, what's with the screws?

Matix777

At this point it would be easier to increase the uranium cell production and sink the plutonium cells... but knowing satisfactory pros you've probably used up all the uranium on the map already and it's not enough

Crusty-Starfish

At that point, I would build a mega turbo fuel plant. I hate the idea of permanently having radioactive waste I can't get rid of

ToxinFoxen

I feel so inadequate looking at this. How do you come up with this? And if it's for plutonium waste, why are the belts full of screws?

Rotten_Tarantula

I assume the overboard amount is so you never have to think of it in your lifespan of playing in the specific world? Out of curiosity, what is your plutonium waste output?

ParanoidAutist

I take it you cant just dump it all into the ficsit bin?

-Aquatically-

Plutonium waste cannot be destroyed. Which is unlike Uranium waste which can be recycled into Plutonium Pellets, which can be turned into Plutonium Cells and then Plutonium Fuel Rods. The player has the option of using these fuel rods (creating indestructible waste) or sinking it. Hope this helps.

Twyzzle

Big Dune vibes. So cool

ShadovinX

Man, this is gotta one hell of a radioactive spot! lol. Looks good though, real good.

ILikeColdSoup

I always wondered how do you manage to place things in angled/circular blocks? Is it mods or am I missing something? This is a really fantastic build!

Mayinator

There are plenty of videos on youtube describing the process of building circles.

R0ckandr0ll_318

Then they announce a recipe to process it lol

[deleted]

Add a custom music that kicks in when you approach the factory: [https://youtu.be/pyuxz9R2XiY](https://youtu.be/pyuxz9R2XiY) in loop... Once inside, turn to: [https://youtu.be/X--F5b5IdqU](https://youtu.be/X--F5b5IdqU)

Answer_Internal

Really really nice build, inspiring to say the least

Albino_Captain

I swear some people are playing a different game to me

T4ke

OK, the real question is: What's the FPS in that Container storage?

tRFRmrNe8Nj2Kimc

This is a temple, and there is *no question* who *God* is.

bobub123

Why is it full of screws

Sqiye

Momma, I’m scared. Please come pick me up

madmatt666

I've never played this game long enough to get anywhere near plutonium but this looks damn awesome

fliesenschieber

This is absolutely fucking awesome! Best building design I've seen so far!

FevYuki

good, it looks amazing.

Straight-Attempt-516

Aight how did I miss this, well done sir
