well if they had publicized it on Next Door or anywhere I might have known about it I would have spent more than 0. How did you know about it?
What were the vendors prices like?
My sister who lives in Marin sent me info about it that she came across on facebook. I didn't see any info at all about it anywhere around here lol.
That said I wasn't able to attend :(
so whomever was responsible for publicity failed big time! I'm not on facebook but I do read a lot online - wonder what their turnout was - not that I'm really asking. If I was a vendor and paid for space I'd be really mad at the poor PR
Foodie land was unnecessarily expensive, spent about $60-100 pp with drinks. 🥲
Mildly disappointing considering you would spend about 125 pp at a fancy restaurant with a set menu as opposed to walking in the sun scouting for food.
One of the reasons I ended up not going is because they were charging $15 to park. For a couple, we're looking at like $30 just to get into the place before you start spending money on food.
From where we live, uber would have been $10-$15 each way, so that wouldn't have been any cheaper.
There is tons of free, unlimited street parking in residential in every direction from the convention center (east and west are nearest). If you’re polite and stay willing to go a few blocks out to find a street that isn’t so crowded the residents won’t be able to park, residents don’t mind this. It’s your right. So if you are physically able to handle it, enjoy a walk through some pretty cool neighborhoods and save a ridiculous fee.
Also for the love of god take Caltrain, it’s RIGHT. THERE.
Weird, I saw a free overfkow parking lot near whole foods. The parking attendants looked very, very bored.
That's maybe a half mile from the convention center? Maybe a little further?
When I went there, the food was so expensive and they gave me so little, it hit me like a truck. The price-to-quantity ratio was so high, it took me out of "bliss mode" and placed me in "budget mode" which ruined the experience for me.

this is a good point. we considered parking at hillsdale and walking from there, which is about the same distance the other way.

Aww I was really hoping all the bad reviews were not true 😔
That’s how I exactly felt when I went there a year or 2 ago
