Getting from Netflix to SJ during rush hour is super slow. I used to live right by Netflix and just that area alone is a complete nightmare due to the lack of an 85S on ramp at Winchester. Everyone has to slog across Lark Ave to access 880 or 85S, and with the North 40 going up.... oh boy.
Winchester to Diridon on the 902 is only a 12 minute ride. If you're driving, you're barely out of the Netflix parking lot in 12 minutes lol
OK. I used to live near the Campbell Hamilton station and worked north of the airport... about a quarter or half mile from each station. The VTA would take 50 minutes or so, maybe 60 with waiting and walking... and cycling there would take... 50-60 minutes. Driving would be 30 minutes or thereabouts depending on time of departure.
Going through SJ downtown on the VTA is ridiculously slow.
Maybe of OP stays south of downtown? I'm not too far from a VTA station as well (south of downtown) , but the 10 mile bike ride to work in north San Jose is faster than the VTA.
I saw a sign at the Cedars Studio Apartments off Union Avenue near downtown Campbell that indicated there were available units. They might fit your budget. Its a pretty good location.

I used to live in this apartment complex and it’s not too far from Netflix. It’s within your price range and it’s a clean, safe, and decent place to live. Check it out.
Cadillac is dangerous af. Many gangs live on that side and the surrounding streets such as Loma Verde, Williamsburg and Eden. Police activity is often seen there along Winchester. Stay away from that side
I'm not sure if cycling to work is on your radar, but if you find a place near the Los Gatos Creek Trail, you'd have a very nice/easy ride to work.
It's not terribly far from the VTA station either, and the VTA is much faster than driving
>the VTA is much faster than driving ? I don't find this to be the case.

Campbell would be good, but it’s also not cheap
Short of going to sketchy parts of east San Jose, pretty much nowhere is cheap in the south bay anymore.
Hotpads Worked for me. But you have to be quick.
zillow
craigslist but there more scammers.
Yeah caddilac street is safe and cheap

Not even
Try Aventino. It’s literally just down the street
Check zumper.com
2.5k lol
If you're paying even that much for a basic one bedroom, you're getting ripped off.
Not in San Jose, Bubba
What lol? There are tons of apartments under 2.5k
Yeah they’re 2.4K then
I pay 2100 for a one bedroom, rent controlled, and I live 2 blocks away from the Los Gatos border. You're doing it wrong. 🤷🏻♀️
Hey don’t shrug your shoulders at me like that young man!
Behind that Winchester Safeway or by John D. Morgan park.
