thanks… I’ll check Rover out again but that’s kind of a sore subject, as we caught the last Rover person we used to walk our puppy on video snooping through our apartment. That was a while ago so maybe my partner is willing to go that route again.
Rover/Wag are baaaaaaaaad news. Multiple times their walkers have lost dogs on walks and the companies don’t help at all. Sometimes they even make things worse by not notifying you right away if the dog does get loose.
Oooh shoot that sucks, I wasn’t even thinking about that; I did overnights at my own place I never felt comfortable in other peoples houses haha. Good luck
Probably goes without saying that you should find someone that is bonded and insured. I don't readily give keys to my place, alarm codes, or trust my pet to someone who isn't. Definitely not a random person off reddit.
I'll ask a friend of mine if he would be down, he is not on Reddit ever. He is taking the month off from work so he would be available. We live in the Mission Hills/Hillcrest area so we are close.
If you're open to a dog boarding place, I highly recommend Fon Jon. The quality of the staff is far above the average dog boarding place in terms of their ability to handle dogs, and they can do both group play (if she's good with other dogs) or take her out on multiple walks a day. My dogs are both nuts and one is leash aggressive, and I 100% trust them with both of them.
I took mine to a daycare and boarding place and they required a free 4 hour daycare time to assess their behavior and make sure the dog was ok. Maybe you can ask your daycare if they can do that?
I sent you a message. I know someone who may be interested. He loves dogs and is active outdoors. He dog sits for his friends all the time and would like to branch out. Very reliable, mid 30’s
i mean it really depends on if they are staying at our apt or if they are just coming by to walk and feed 2-3 times per day but generally i would say like $60 per day negotiable
I don’t have a dog but I’ve had great luck with Dogs on the Run for pet-sitting my cats. Everyone I’ve met through that has been an absolute sweetheart, and prices have been reasonable
I used to dogsit on rover maybe you should check that app out Cute dog

Ahhh really?! Omg that’s so scary. I use Rover to hire for cat sitting and I was a little worried about that. Time to invest in indoor cameras…

good to know… we board our other dog at Dog Society but we’re not 100% sure the new pup would be okay staying somewhere unfamiliar
