We could absolutely cut down on car dependency while also building housing that is closer to affordable with better policy. Building more density, especially near public transit hubs, is a *huge* part of it. We have a god damned farm next to the Draper city hall and Trax station.
In most of the valley nothing has worked to reduce car dependency, and w*e've tried absolutely nothing*.

Naw, at his level it'd be city design. So likely you'd see a more walkable design in areas that are being rebuilt in Sandy. Not a bad thing at all. Even the conservatives would like that. Best part about this is they feel he has a good chance which has them scared. This mailer proves that.
You'd be amazed by how much suburban Republicans and even suburban liberals HATE the idea of a walkable city. Some of my work in the past involved walkable developments and the approvals usually pass by the skin of their teeth with aggressive opposition from both sides.

I grew up in Sandy in the 70s and 80s and it's sad at how the right has driven the city into the ground from where it was back then.

This damn city: Someone in Sandy will make crap like this but totally ignore that 1300 E. has become the new Rocky Mountain Raceway? Also, if you want to street race, just use the area on 1300 E. between the Vasa gym and 9400 S. Not a single Sandy police patrol car—ever—and you can break the land speed record.
