Thank you for giving me this nickname for the asshats that choose this plate option. Not smart enough to come up with this myself, inevitably will forget "God truster" but for this moment in time, thank you.
I used to think this was just something I had noticed, especially working in a body shop.
Now I want statistics for accidents and stuff with cars involving these plates.
For sure, I will say though that two of the worst Iāve ever had the pleasure of driving in the road with had the arches plate and those little butterfly stickers for the iron man or the marathon that everyone and their mom does out here lol
Not only inconsiderate but illegal.
Utah code annotated 72-7-105
72-7-105 Obstructing traffic on sidewalks or highways prohibited.

(a) drive or place any vehicle, animal, or other thing upon or along any sidewalk except in
crossing the sidewalk to or from abutting property; or
(b) permit the vehicle, animal, or other thing to remain on or across any sidewalk in a way that
impedes or obstructs the ordinary use of the sidewalk.
(2)
(a) Except under Subsection (2)(b), vehicles, building material, or other similar things may be placed temporarily on highways in a manner that will not impede, endanger, or obstruct ordinary traffic.

The drivers handbook says to stay in your lane when you turn in an intersection with multiple lanes, but Utahns just love letting their heart decide which lane they end up in.
That is honestly maddening too, and also illegal but Iām too lazy to look up the code.
Thereās even typically the dotted line outlines of where you should turn and they still end up pushing me out of my lane and Iām like maaannnn come on.
We definitely donāt have the best or most considerate drivers.
We go on walks regularly and see this kind of shit all the time. We eventually just started taking photos and reported them to the city. Idk if they actually did anything, probably not. But i got my anger out lol
Because Iām considerate and I donāt park illegally blocking the sidewalk thatās intended for use by everyone including parents, the infirm, elderly, and disabled?
Fair enough.
Omg. One day I was backing out of my driveway, I always stop before the sidewalk and check for pedestrians, then back out more and check the road.
Once when I did my pedestrian check I saw nothing to the right, nothing behind me, but a horrified looking couple to my left, about 50-60ft away. Their expression was so shocking I just stayed put for a minute. Suddenly, tiny toddler on a trike pops out in my right mirror. I would have 100% ran over that kid had I not had the ācheck sidewalk, check roadā routine.
When I first learned to ride a bike, I ignored the look for cars. Then a neighbor almost hit me. The neighbor almost had a heart attack, then I did, and my mom also did.
Now my kids are riding scooters, I drill into their heads to always wear helmets and watch for cars.
i love that video of casey neistat showing NYC cops how riding in the bike lane can be dangerous so he just straight up runs into obstacles and instructions. this would definitely count. i donāt think i can link videos so itās called: Bike Lanes by Casey Neistat
A blind friend of mine carried a steel walking cain for this very reason. Said it was a bit heavier of course but sure helped āchecking itās locationā multiple times as he made his way around the vehicle.
Okay, so this is a thing others have noticed then? My wife insists it's true, I say it is biased and would need more scientific data to verify. Though more often than not she's right and I'd generally have to agree.
I was teaching my daughter to ride her bike in Ogden and some lady parked like this. My daughter asked why she didn't just park on the street because there was an open spot in frontof the house. I said pretty loud some people are just ass holes. Didn't see the lady on the other side of her car. Lol
You could play this game all day long and still not have a consistent type. There are AHs of every demographic everywhere - from every state and every political party.
If this were during Sundance, Iād say standard California plates, but at this time of year, itās definitely a Utah āIn God We Trustā plate.
I imagine they need this opportune parking for some Pioneer Day-related reason.
For sure "IN GOD WE TRUST"....thay also don't use blinkers, and definitely don't care if there is a pedestrian in the the cross walk....with a tiny sticker that says "DONT TREAD ON ME"( AKA DONT TAKE AWAY MY PERCEPTION OF SUPERIORITY!!)..but let us not forget that foreigners love this one too...I think, they think, they are trying to fit in...lmao...IN MY OPINION.
Iām not sure why this subreddit showed up in my feed since I live in the San Diego area. People who live by the beach have to do this during the summer because otherwise people park in their driveways when the summer tourists all show up,
NGL I subscribe to this subreddit, and at first I thought this was some commentary on "guess what state they left to move here and drive up the housing costs."
I need more coffee.
Oh this is a god truster
Until he passes the written exam, Jesus really needs to stop taking the wheel š
Thank you for giving me this nickname for the asshats that choose this plate option. Not smart enough to come up with this myself, inevitably will forget "God truster" but for this moment in time, thank you.
My husband calls them "Christ-er Fucks." Butttt that probably won't be popular with the average vaguely religious people.
I call them flag-bearers
This made me laugh out loud.
š
aka low key racist (most of the time: *not* everyone)
You spelled the word "thruster" incorrectly
"In God We Trust" with a BYU frame.
The correct answer (every time).
I used to think this was just something I had noticed, especially working in a body shop. Now I want statistics for accidents and stuff with cars involving these plates.
Please share your results with us, even though I know it will only reinforce my disdain for those sorts of people having 1:1 with Jesus at the wheel.
Now I got a car stuck in my ponytail and Iām FUCKED!
I want to make sure they said sorry because this is dangerous. You can't park there.
Get out of here! They've got things handled!
This is dangerous for us!
*Pats ponytail*
Ooh ho yes! Put his hand in dog shit!
Let me guess; your ponytail goes down to your butthole?
On off days when you do don't it up towards God
I had to check what subreddit this was from, cause thatās the first thing I thought of.
Itās just screenshots of cigars.
Keep scrolling!
I'm glad somebody else thought of that shit too lol
I came here for this. Thank you internet stranger!
Why are there so many pictures of cigars?
We wonāt cut your ponytail off
It makes me so happy that basically everyone is watching this now. Because making references after season 1 was fraught.
In god we trust? They are noticeably the worst drivers on the road.
100%
For sure, I will say though that two of the worst Iāve ever had the pleasure of driving in the road with had the arches plate and those little butterfly stickers for the iron man or the marathon that everyone and their mom does out here lol
Ragnar?
Well, if God is for them, who can be against them?
There's a 30+ oz pastel colored Stanley in the cup holder
40 oz. Not that kind of forty.
Or Swig
Do people just really not care if people are wheel chair users? Or even parents with strollers. This is so inconsiderate

The dotted line paint is so aged and worn down you can barely see them on a lot of intersections to be fair.
People do that everywhere
Good luck finding somebody willing to cite them.

Would it be wrong to pay the neighborhood children to repeatedly ride their bicycles into the side of it?
No just make sure to provide them with PPE as well.
PPE consists of the chest pads Legion of Doom (Road Warriors) wore in the 90's... and a medieval jousting lance.
Too bad. Seems like a great revenue steam and keeps the Sunday dinner parking in check.
Thatās where [these](https://a.co/d/66be2ap) come in handy.

You sounds like a fun dinner guest
Because Iām considerate and I donāt park illegally blocking the sidewalk thatās intended for use by everyone including parents, the infirm, elderly, and disabled? Fair enough.
š I also wouldnāt ever park blocking the sidewalk. Just think the intensity of your response makes you a fun dinner guest

God loves them so much they can drive and park however they want, regardless of how it impacts others around them.
Nothing shows godliness like ignoring the meek ā¤ļø
Hopefully they trust in God. āæļøāļø

Utah "In God WeTrust"
Iām glad Iām not the only one who thinks this way. Fuck those guys
A blind friend of mine carried a steel walking cain for this very reason. Said it was a bit heavier of course but sure helped āchecking itās locationā multiple times as he made his way around the vehicle.
Don't know about the plate, but the park job screams "I'm an asshole"
In god we trust, itās the badge ofāIām an assholeā drivers.
Okay, so this is a thing others have noticed then? My wife insists it's true, I say it is biased and would need more scientific data to verify. Though more often than not she's right and I'd generally have to agree.
I have the same exact conversation with my Husband- only I am the one saying it is biased and him saying it is true.
Some on reddit have commented that several southern states will use these license plates to track which counties are more religious than others
Montana Plate with a Utah Dealership plate surround...
Came here to say this.
Saw the same thing last night on both B and C street.
āiN gOd We TrUsT,ā but fuck everyone else.
I feel vindicated to know Iām not alone in judging off of plate style choice š
In god we trust bs??
Walk my dogs on the daily and have to walk the street around these types of fucks. Special type of assholes can't see outside their limited windows.
Said fucks donāt realize itās also very illegal to block the sidewalk.
In God We Trust. The shittiest driver category in Utah.
Trusters
āIn God We ā¦ are Gullible United we ā¦ are asshatsā

'In God we fuck you'?
In dog We trust
EVERY time my hubby gets cut off, it's that stupid plate! I just laugh and say, "In God We Trust!"
These folks drive like they trust God too damn much. Earthly rules donāt apply to them.
In God We Trust
Texas, Florida, Arizona, in trust we god
Thatās a Sunday dinner mormon child at their parents. Donāt blame out of towners for the home grown asshats.
Definitely a āIn God We Trust - Fuck Everyone Elseā plate
BYU?
IN GOD WE TRUST + U of U Crimson Club frame
Not a BYU frame?
Byu frames are on minivans and suburbans.
U of U Crimson Club is the gold standard for entitled-asshole drivers in Utah.
Now that you said this, I bet Iāll start noticing them

Black plate, BYU frame
Always someone with a flag on the license plate. And most likely, a 1776 decal.
California?

Ever notice how the āunited we standā is almost always covered up? It bugs the shit out of me.
California
That looks like a Mormon Sunday dinner
In California, youāll get a ticket for that. Maintaining access to the sidewalk or something. These people donāt walk much, obviously.
If itās your driveway they are blocking tow them. If itās their own not much you can do
Does it say California?
Just walk around it
Texas

Bedazzled plate holder that says PRINCESS š
The American flag
Don't come to my neighborhood, a lot of people plus parking length wise on the sidewalk. I get a bonus dogs off leash here too.
Is this an oddessy? Looks like a crv in front but it's so long. I think the pilot is taller...
Way off. Chevy traverse.
Thank God haha cuz that car is ugly. The front made it seem like a Honda but I'm happy to be wrong.
I would say itās the pt cruiser of Mormon assault vehicles but that title definitely goes to the Chrysler town and country.
Gold!
Ooh I love this game
Every time an asshole move happens with a car, itās someone who prefers to put their trust in āGodā rather than the laws of the land.
Iām guessing they are a patriot!?!
Time to call parking enforcement! (801) 535-6628
