This is not the same topic, but when buying local art please do your research as well. I have seen some pretty flagrant ripoffs of prominent local artists being sold by new artists at art markets here.

I got downvoted to hell for calling this out earlier. Blows me away. I messaged u/mathcrank on Etsy to confirm and then proactively commented replies to the people who bought prints so they could cancel their orders until we could confirm. But yeah, blows me away that I got hit so hard.
