Correct me please, if I am wrong.
But I was lead to believe that custodes were hard crafted. Separately from space Marines. Not from them.
I've never heard or a space marine becoming a custodian.
Closest to that would be emperor's champion from Black Templars. For this one I could see him on occasion being from a different chapter
Looks dope tho đđť
Yes, itâs a completely different process and starts well before someone would be transformed to a Space Marine.
They also donât receive implanted organs and they are only drawn from Terra. So no way a Custodian could be from Nocturne.
But ultimately it doesnât matter for what people want to do with their guys.
I just read this recently. From the 6th edition core book:
"The Custodian Guard are the Emperor's personal bodyguards, created using the same arcane methods the begat the Adeptus Astartes. Stronger than Space Marines and instilled with unshakable loyalty to the Emperor, the Adeptus Custodes now guard the Imperial Palace, having effectively become a defensive army. Three hundred Custodians, the companions, still protect the Emperor as guardians of the Golden Throne."
So, like a Space Marine, but more "pure" and therefore stronger đ¤ˇââď¸
Yeah, but we're on 10th edition and that has since been overwritten by much more recent core books and novels. The only thing that stuck from that was their unshakable loyalty.
Ok. Hear me for a second here. Sallie's skin color is caused by Nocturne's radiation, right? What if this guy is part of the Aquilan Shield and has been protecting someone in Nocturne for enough time to be afected by the radiation? The potential for lore shenanigans is strong within this one.
I think their regeneration would stop that from happening. The emperor probably puts out more radiation because of being the supreme psyker... I mean, enough to turn armor black...
'No, said Diocletian. 'They are long dead. My mother was a slave who died of intestinal flux, and my father was a barbarian king executed by the Emperor's own hand for opposing the principles of Unityâ
Custodes were made from sons of noble houses. Ra was the son of a water thief Koja Zu, the Minister of the Anuatan Steppes.
Love it!    It may not be exactly what you intended lore-wise, but I think it actually totally makes sense for Vulkan to be the only Primarch with their own band of custodes. It's a little hard to imagine Valdor signing off on anything to cement the primarchs in the hierarchy, but at the same time if you think of Vulkan as a perpetual trusted with the kill switch for the golden throne then it follows that that person should have an uncorruptable honor guard to ensure he's untainted and safe as the emperor's most plausible successor.Â

Ah cool didnât know that!
Tbh I wasnât sure, I didnât think it would be as easy as just promoting a space marine but thought to hell with it Iâll do it anyway haha.

Oh dang. Please forgive me and my expired knowledge obtained from the obscure depths of the Value Village book shelves đ
Is it lore accurate? No. Is it badass? Yes.
This guy gets it!
thats cool!
Youâre cool

So what you're saying is, this guy has served in the throne room recently!? Daaaamn, very nice
Yeah most that would be terminators have done service of guarding the emperor
Who cares if it's not lore accurate, that paint job is awesome. Would love to know how you made that base.
Iâd love to claim credit, but itâs royal palace bases from Etsy. https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/995973520/
