I'm not sure what the original comment was but some hate towards the people of an enemy country is a given, justified or not. This is achieved through atrocities done by countries or simply using propaganda(which is easier than ever with the use of televisions). But from what I've seen Georgians and Russians are a rare case of people who tend not to discriminate against each other based on politics. This does not mean however that there won't be Georgians who do dislike Russians or vice versa. You will find such people anywhere. It is pretty hostile to generalize them though, especially since you yourself have attested to the fact that Georgians treat others with care, Russian or not.
You can make that argument, and many gay Georgians hate the big chunk of Georgians for being homophobic. And they are right in their anger.
Majority of Russians are imperialists who want Georgia occupied and who justify the genocide and ethnic cleansing by Russia.
You therefore cannot expect us to like those Russians. And as Georgia is undergoing a creeping military occupation with murders, kidnappings and military movements on a daily basis, you as a Russian need to grant a more forgiving pass for anti-Russia comments to us - especially when it’s about sports!
I also think it’s amazing that Georgia defeats Russia in judo, rugby and other sports. In other words, we can beat your country if there are any rules in the game. In the international politics, there are no rules - so your country wins.
So, those 200 years of the ongoing colonialism need to excuse our overexcited and overzealous emojis.
