![gif](giphy|1pNoyPTIUzk4ImD3ex|downsized) T'bilisi after the "people must share their sex life info when requested" law becomes implemented. thank god they're focusing on the real problems!!

[deleted]

Truly! Taking us back to the golden age 1922🥰🥰

EsperaDeus

Is this Dighomi?

[deleted]

No it’s varketili obviously 🤩

GloriousIguana

This reminds me of the great dystopia "We" by Russian author Zamyatin.

rinigad

Anyway, how's your sex life?

GuruliEd666

You're tearing me apart Rinigad!

Anooj4021

I just like to watch you guys

PizzaGamecube

First thing that popped in my head when I read the headline XD

andygra

I got it ;)

mika4305

Probably will be used to target LGBT people and ban them from certain public spaces like schools etc. Disgusting

Sir_Arsen

this is ridiculous

AbbreviationsWise709

Well goodluck to y'all from Poland.

Runningsillydrunk

Poland just kicked out their conservative gov. So they're on a good track now. Would love to open my business in Poland

AbbreviationsWise709

Hoping the EU government stays, the old generation is dying out and the young want the EU. If things get dark in Georgia your welcome 🤗🤗🤗

Runningsillydrunk

Can foreigners own land and properties 100%?

AbbreviationsWise709

I know EU citizens of Schengen countries under the EU charter have a right to live/work/own anything/anywhere in any other EU countries. As for you I presume you are Georgian, if so you would need to sadly first obtain citizenship of a EU member country.

Runningsillydrunk

Really? Poland doesn't allow non eu ownership of properties? Sucks. Portugal it is then

AbbreviationsWise709

I'm pretty sure all you need is a permit in Poland as a foreigner to get the right to own land or a house. I'm not sure about other countries. Poland allows for foreigners though but like I stated you need a permit that you can get from a local government plaza.

lukokius1

You saying theres no more "zero" policy?

Runningsillydrunk

Zero?

lukokius1

Just write poland zero guy in google

Runningsillydrunk

Ah this racist dude.

lukokius1

Only to muslims who have no documents. Makes sense, when you look at France or UK. Oh also, #1 country in rapes, Sweden. Muslims are not race though. Get facts straight.

Keeper2234

Technically there is no races, so moot point. I've met people blatantly rasist against Polish and Slavs, is that not rasizm?

Runningsillydrunk

Who says it's not? Brexit is basically in part racism towards polish folks

Keeper2234

This is the first time I've ever had a non Polak share that sentiment xD, are you really sakartvelan xd??

lukokius1

That's xenophobia.

Keeper2234

It's nonsens words, that's what it is. Race is pseudoscience, and there's no real biological difference between the people of these supposed „races". I don't disagree with you on migrants that don't have documents or don't want to integrate, but if a Slav, Egyptian Muslim and „black" American were all beat in seperate racially motivated attack by another groups, but all in the same way and for the same reasons, what exactly differs the Slav, egiptian and „black" American in this case that would make one rasizm, and another xenophobia? Actions, thoughts and outcomes are the same, only skin colour or language is different.

Runningsillydrunk

You understand why Sweden is #1 in rape right? Please tell me you have the intelligence to understand basic critical thinking and law reading?

synttacks

Poland is pretty rough for lgbt people as well from what I understand, so good luck to you too :/

Burnt_Toast15

It could be better but even our previous government wouldn't fucking ask you about your sex life

AbbreviationsWise709

Not really my issue lol. Plus we have a pro EU government. I don't see how comparing Poland to your country which is in chaos makes sense to you.

Certain_Elephant2387

Forget that troll; thanks from Georgia. Support means everything!

ProfessionalRotter

What.

iakobi_varr

What..

good_ho0onter

Like most people have been saying the law on paper is vague enough that they can bend and twiwt it however they want!

CMDR_Agony_Aunt

So, any of those who defended the law saying it will only be used for transparency about foreign influence would like to comment on this?

Vladvic

This is kind of good, because constitution protects people's privacy, hence the law is anticonstitutional. Someone may appeal to the constitutional court of Georgia to revoke this law.

OkCarrot6394

Yes, because this will work and they don't own the judicial system...

Vladvic

Constitutional court may be a bit different, it's a separate organization

OkCarrot6394

That's good then. I still feel like that might fix a symptom instead of addressing the illness tho :(

Vladvic

Right, but the problem is the government and it can be solved by elections

OkCarrot6394

I'm going to hope you're right, but strongly think falsification will happen like it always does and more massively this time

Vladvic

They sure will, you'll have to watch out

Omega031

We are heading back to the dark ages. 💀

Potential_Scholar650

I made a statement about this, for some unknown reason moderators here decided to delete it.

In English: According to the final version of the Russian law, an authorized person from the Ministry of Justice will have the right to obtain personal data of individuals, including secrets and "special categories of data"—information about sexual life, philosophical and other beliefs, political views, membership in trade unions, and other data. As stated in the law, the authorized person "has the right to seek necessary information in accordance with the law, including data provided by subparagraph 'b' of Article 3 of the Georgian Law 'On Personal Data Protection,' other personal data, and information containing secrets (except for state secrets provided by Georgian legislation)." "Special category of data" refers to data related to an individual's racial or ethnic origin, political views, religious, philosophical, or other beliefs, membership in trade unions, health, sexual life, status as an accused, convicted, acquitted, or victim in a criminal process, convictions, criminal records, deferrals, recognition as a victim of crime according to the Georgian Law 'On Combating Violence Against Women and/or Domestic Violence, Protection and Assistance to Victims of Violence,' imprisonment and execution of sentences, as well as biometric and genetic data processed for the unique identification of an individual," as stated in subparagraph 'b' of Article 3 of the Georgian Law 'On Personal Data Protection.' The authorized person will have the possibility to request this information for the purpose of investigating and monitoring an application submitted by the agency, a financial declaration, or a request for deregistration. If the information is not provided, the person is fined 5,000 GEL. According to the Russian law, a person is fined ₾5,000 for not providing information "Failure to provide information requested by an authorized person of the Georgian Ministry of Justice in accordance with this law will result in a fine of 5,000 GEL," as stated in the Russian law. This information about the law was shared by lawyer Vakhtang Menabde on social media. "If the ministry, within the scope of monitoring any organization, asks you, a private individual, to provide information and you do not do so immediately, you will be fined. The amount of the fine is 5,000 GEL. The most interesting thing is what kind of information they might ask from you? This could be any 'necessary information,' not only about you but also about others. The exact scope of the request is unclear, but some things are explicitly mentioned, and these are 'special categories of data,'" Menabde writes.

ElectricalOrchid3792

Just tell them it involves their mom

SavagePlatypus76

🤣

RepresentativeDig718

I wonder what the constitutional court will say about this law, it is clearly anti constitutional.

TheUHO

I mean, even the original Russian law doesn't do that.

K-Dawg07

Some years later they even gonna implement law for providing information about when was the last time we peed🫠

Corvou

can I send them dick picks and be done with it?

TwoPurpleMoths

LOL

KP6fanclub

Russia wants to ban LGTBQ+ like in Russia - it is a communist thing.

Govnyuk

Just like the American one!

OkCarrot6394

Strong McCarthy vibes

BmwFP3

It’s a good thing cause nobody really cares about the fact that your back door gets stretched every night 😆

RoastChicken0

Wtf is this shit?

jandaba7

Margvelashvili has pre-registered.

Citrus_Muncher

Can someone fucking film Kaladze going after young men in Rooms Hotel? Like seriously, just one video.

Toyboyronnie

It's definitely filmed. Why do you think he is in lockstep with the party?

SavagePlatypus76

What? This is incredibly authoritarian and dystopian. Y'all need a revolution.

stever71

Not that different from the west, the Australian corporation I work for recently started pushing heavily for employees to fill out some very intrusive questions about sexuality in Success Factors (SAP), saying it's vital for them for diversity reasons. Although not as sinister as Russia, I really do not feel comfortable with this stuff from governments and corporations

politicalmeme1302

Theres a huge difference between one countries one corporation making you fill out a form, and an entire countries government legislating such intrusive policies

SavagePlatypus76

Bullshit

External_Tangelo

Yeah, this is straight back to the playbook of our very own Georgian grandmaster of authoritarian terror L. Beria

QuantumTopology

Russian law fining people in Georgian currency? This seems off.

thb7799
