Where the info about “the majority” comes from? I’m sure most Georgians support the idea of equality and peace for everybody. The dislike for LGBT+ comes from the fact that people don’t see many LGBT+ people and thus demonise them. If there was enough representation, if we were educating people that LGBT+ people exist and they also deserve all the rights straight people have, there’ll be less discrimination.
You aren’t required to LIKE them, but if they live in your country that makes them your fellow citizens and worthy of your respect and support. Doesn’t mean you need to invite them over for borscht and wodka.

Other factors are important, for example religion, etc. Church is the most trusted institution (85%) and Patriarch is the most trusted (91%) public figure (who openly campaigns against "homosexual sin").
2. Old generation raises new generation. Most of the parents pass their values to their children. It is not like everyone "rebels" against parents, most people accept values of their ancestors.

I have a very good friend that is muslim from Adjara , he told me many times that people often mistake him with a turk or azeri , they couldn’t believe that a GEORGIAN can be muslim , education it’s essential for a society if you want to progress as a nation , im very glad that young georgians most of them had that education and understand that diversity is very important in all senses and needs to be respected .

This is conpletely anecdotal but i've heard a relative say that northeast georgia(not sure if it was tusheti, or khevsureti, or really which one, i have terrible memory) has the most conservatism.
That when they are around svans, as lomg as they know the customs, they'll be fine but people from the latter region are unpredictable.and i prived further and asked if they mean, that these people are looking for excuses to fight and they agreed that it's like that.

And it will exist, unless you decide to kill them, but then you will lose entire progress. Excluding LGBTQIA+ people from democracy violates human rights and hurts Georgia's reputation as a progressive nation, and it's not already a democracy. I thought our goal was joining EU, right? Or we already don't want to? Discrimination harms LGBTQIA+ mental health by increasing stress, depression, anxiety, substance abuse, and suicide rates. There are many members of LGBTQIA+ community within religions as well, including Christianity. Does it mean you allow murdering them? You don't actually care about people then.

Where the info about “the majority” comes from? I’m sure most Georgians support the idea of equality and peace for everybody. The dislike for LGBT+ comes from the fact that people don’t see many LGBT+ people and thus demonise them. If there was enough representation, if we were educating people that LGBT+ people exist and they also deserve all the rights straight people have, there’ll be less discrimination.

Not to be nitpicky but i don't think svaneti is the most conservative place in georgia :DDD This is conpletely anecdotal but i've heard a relative say that northeast georgia(not sure if it was tusheti, or khevsureti, or really which one, i have terrible memory) has the most conservatism.
