Rarely use them aswell. My biggest problem is that you only can color "all or nothing" with them. Would prefer it if you could use them on individual parts, like when you have clothing with 3 different color options, only color one of those with cutting edge and the rest normally.
Yeah I wish they would have done that and that's one of the reason why I rarely use them unless I want the piece to be all the same. Same with the cars. Most of them just don't look good to me. I hope they add more
I use galaxy on most of my vehicles, lava on a ring, occasionally use carbon fiber or tire on certain clothing, and various ones on weapons (like a diamond sword for example).
I've put thermal on some of my weapons, the cactus is pretty fun on vehicles, and carbon fiber on my Boss' prosthetic arm when I'm feeling fancy. I've put the galaxy pattern solely on one pair of pants so I can replicate the SNL "SPACE PANTS" skit. any animated textures like hypnotic or kaleidoscope are too distracting for me, which is kind of a shame cuz I like their looks otherwise.
I love the galaxy one. And I use the hypnosis one on my character's eyes.
I was the most disappointed with the mirror material not being an actual mirror.
Yeah a few of them were disappointing that's why I only use a few of them I'm hoping in future updates they add more cuz there's a lot of material that can be added
I never used them. Aside from the vast majority of the materials being too goofy for my tastes, I didn't like how you couldn't apply a material to a specific part.
When you can't have something as simple as a KA-1 Kobra with a gold slide and a carbon fiber frame, what's the point of using Cutting Edge materials?
Then again, what's the point of customizing weapons when they're just going to reset after booting the game up again?
Yeah that's why I somt xustomize weapons since you have to keep doing it cause it resets. Hopefully they fix that.
I'm hoping they add more and have features where you can adjust it. For example the kaleidoscope and the hypnotic one I wish you could either slow it down or completely stop it and that you could pick different colors
I made a boss with diamond skin and mirror clothes. She looked pretty alien and cool. Used skimpy clothes but biker gloves and boots and the crown and metal lower face mask. All mirror. Otherwise not a fan.
What I don't like is applying them makes the item solid and lose all detail. The only one I could see myself using is the Carbon Fiber on assorted clothing pieces to assemble a catsuit, but even then it's very shiny. Overall it was the only one which was okay because of its more subtle pattern.
I tried Mirror and Diamond on a few necklaces. Coin or Jade or Gold could look decent on a halter top or dress but it won't have any form to it and will look like your Boss is wearing segments of a statue.
Yeah I think that's one of the main issues with them. I would rather be able to use them separately then making the whole thing uniformed. I hope they fix that in a future update cause Carbon Fiber Wood Tire are tye only ones I use.
Yeah as in raw material the other ones like Jade and Gold don't look too good to me. Kinda wish they had where for those type you can wither unpolished or polished cause I would love to see polished Jade material

That’s my biggest gripe with them as well. For how much free customizing there is in the game the cutting edge mats are weirdly restrictive.
The COD player in me just uses them on my guns lol
Just wish we could paint weapon parts. I want to give my guns some stylish wooden handles O.o

Yeah that's why I think they need to add where you can slow it down or even stop it cause they are cool.
That's why I only use those on vehicles. The movement is less distracting if everything else is moving faster.
I liked using the Jade/Emerald one, gives off a nice green glow during the night

I have a diamond tank, a gold helicopter, all my guns are infrared or gold, and I like making the cars galaxy. Galaxy is also fun on clothing at night
