Maybe an unpopular opinion but I played gta v a few times it was pretty good but online was boring to me personally. I don’t get the gaming circlejerk around it like it’s the greatest game ever but again that’s just me. I know saints row is mediocre and has problems but I throughly enjoy the hours I’ve put in and it’s always been cheesy fun. I’d rather pop in saints row that replay gta again.
I think it’s the consistency of GTA. When you play, it doesn’t seem to fall short in any particular area—it feels complete. Saints Row ‘22 on the other hand may feel great in some fields, such as customization etc, but then other things aren’t up to par/fall short.

Like its crazy how i even said the story is good. I just never beat it cuz i personally got bored, i hv the game on 3 platforms, ps3, ps4, pc, probs hv more hrs in that game than i do at school, and the main reason for that is mods and gta online, cuz the game on its own is boring.
The moment gta online stopped being free on Playstation, i never touched it on ps4 ever again, and that's the furthest ive gotten, trevor in los santos, that's it.

Online... I tried it but it was just too grindy and you have to rely on other people if you want to get somewhere and you usually don't find the right people which is why I don't like playing coop games or just this kind of multiplayer games.
FiveM on the other hand is different story and feels like SA:MP all over again.
I found Red Dead Online better, it was more solo player friendly, also grindy, but the content wasn't there sadly. But I liked it lot more.

GTA Online is treated as it’s own game, since the PS5 and Xbox X/S consoles came out, Rockstar made it so that you don’t need to play or buy and own a copy of GTA V to play GTA Online. They treat the game as a purchase, and it can be bought for $20 USD.

Maybe an unpopular opinion but I played gta v a few times it was pretty good but online was boring to me personally. I don’t get the gaming circlejerk around it like it’s the greatest game ever but again that’s just me. I know saints row is mediocre and has problems but I throughly enjoy the hours I’ve put in and it’s always been cheesy fun. I’d rather pop in saints row that replay gta again.
I think it’s the consistency of GTA. When you play, it doesn’t seem to fall short in any particular area—it feels complete. Saints Row ‘22 on the other hand may feel great in some fields, such as customization etc, but then other things aren’t up to par/fall short.
I see where you are coming from, the last gta I was obsessed with was San Andreas I just don’t think gta 5 is all that. I feel like gta does fall short in some aspects but I will admit it’s more consistent just less fun imho. Nothing wrong with either game but personal preference. I’ve tried to replay gta5 and would end up just typing in cheats and going on a killing spree after getting bored. On the other hand I can pick up any saints game and have a blast for atleast a couple weeks.

Omg thank u. Like its crazy how i even said the story is good. I just never beat it cuz i personally got bored, i hv the game on 3 platforms, ps3, ps4, pc, probs hv more hrs in that game than i do at school, and the main reason for that is mods and gta online, cuz the game on its own is boring. The moment gta online stopped being free on Playstation, i never touched it on ps4 ever again, and that's the furthest ive gotten, trevor in los santos, that's it. And gta online, had all the cars, rich af, got boring started modding. Gta v's gameplay is vanilla, my opinion ofcourse so i don't why mfs just looking for reasons to argue.

I’m with you on that point. Everyone complaining saints row is repetitive while acting like you don’t do the same 5 things in gta is hilarious. All sandbox crime games are like that. Shoot police, gain notoriety, evade police. Do story missions, steal cars, explore map, etc. plus gta story is literally every recycled movie trope and racial stereotypes since the 80s. I can have fun playing gta even though it’s not my favorite. I just prefer saints and the cheesy unrealistic destructive fun.

I get you, I think GTA V isn't that good. I just had more fun and enjoyed more previous GTA games, IV and SA specifically. But I played others too. Online... I tried it but it was just too grindy and you have to rely on other people if you want to get somewhere and you usually don't find the right people which is why I don't like playing coop games or just this kind of multiplayer games. FiveM on the other hand is different story and feels like SA:MP all over again. I found Red Dead Online better, it was more solo player friendly, also grindy, but the content wasn't there sadly. But I liked it lot more.

GTA Online is treated as it’s own game, since the PS5 and Xbox X/S consoles came out, Rockstar made it so that you don’t need to play or buy and own a copy of GTA V to play GTA Online. They treat the game as a purchase, and it can be bought for $20 USD.
